Amos 9 I saw the Lord standing upon the altar : and he said , Smite the lintel of the door , that the posts may shake : and cut them in the head , all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword : he that fleeth of them shall not flee away , and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered .

2 H2864 Though they dig [H8799] H7585 into hell H3027 , thence shall mine hand H3947 take [H8799] H5927 them; though they climb up [H8799] H8064 to heaven H3381 , thence will I bring them down [H8686] :

3 H2244 And though they hide [H8735] H7218 themselves in the top H3760 of Carmel H2664 , I will search [H8762] H3947 and take them out [H8804] H5641 thence; and though they be hid [H8735] H5869 from my sight H7172 in the bottom H3220 of the sea H6680 , thence will I command [H8762] H5175 the serpent H5391 , and he shall bite [H8804] them:

4 H3212 And though they go [H8799] H7628 into captivity H6440 before H341 their enemies [H8802] H6680 , thence will I command [H8762] H2719 the sword H2026 , and it shall slay [H8804] H7760 them: and I will set [H8804] H5869 mine eyes H7451 upon them for evil H2896 , and not for good.

5 H136 And the Lord H3069 GOD H6635 of hosts H5060 is he that toucheth [H8802] H776 the land H4127 , and it shall melt [H8799] H3427 , and all that dwell [H8802] H56 therein shall mourn [H8804] H5927 : and it shall rise up [H8804] H2975 wholly like a flood H8257 ; and shall be drowned [H8804] H2975 , as by the flood H4714 of Egypt.

6 H1129 It is he that buildeth [H8802] H4609 his stories H8064 in the heaven H3245 , and hath founded [H8804] H92 his troop H776 in the earth H7121 ; he that calleth [H8802] H4325 for the waters H3220 of the sea H8210 , and poureth them out [H8799] H6440 upon the face H776 of the earth H3068 : The LORD H8034 is his name.

7 H1121 Are ye not as children H3569 of the Ethiopians H1121 unto me, O children H3478 of Israel H5002 ? saith [H8803] H3068 the LORD H5927 . Have not I brought up [H8689] H3478 Israel H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt H6430 ? and the Philistines H3731 from Caphtor H758 , and the Syrians H7024 from Kir?

8 H5869 Behold, the eyes H136 of the Lord H3069 GOD H2403 are upon the sinful H4467 kingdom H8045 , and I will destroy [H8689] H6440 it from off the face H127 of the earth H657 ; saving H8045 that I will not utterly [H8687] H8045 destroy [H8686] H1004 the house H3290 of Jacob H5002 , saith [H8803] H3068 the LORD.

9 H6680 For, lo, I will command [H8764] H5128 , and I will sift [H8689] H1004 the house H3478 of Israel H1471 among all nations H5128 , like as corn is sifted [H8735] H3531 in a sieve H6872 , yet shall not the least grain H5307 fall [H8799] H776 upon the earth.

10 H2400 All the sinners H5971 of my people H4191 shall die [H8799] H2719 by the sword H559 , which say [H8802] H7451 , The evil H5066 shall not overtake [H8686] H6923 nor prevent [H8686] us.

11 H3117 In that day H6965 will I raise up [H8686] H5521 the tabernacle H1732 of David H5307 that is fallen [H8802] H1443 , and close up [H8804] H6556 the breaches H6965 thereof; and I will raise up [H8686] H2034 his ruins H1129 , and I will build [H8804] H3117 it as in the days H5769 of old:

12 H3423 That they may possess [H8799] H7611 the remnant H123 of Edom H1471 , and of all the heathen H7121 , which are called [H8738] H8034 by my name H5002 , saith [H8803] H3068 the LORD H6213 that doeth [H8802] this.

13 H3117 Behold, the days H935 come [H8802] H5002 , saith [H8803] H3068 the LORD H2790 , that the plowman [H8802] H5066 shall overtake [H8738] H7114 the reaper [H8802] H1869 , and the treader [H8802] H6025 of grapes H4900 him that soweth [H8802] H2233 seed H2022 ; and the mountains H5197 shall drop [H8689] H6071 sweet wine H1389 , and all the hills H4127 shall melt [H8709] .

14 H7725 And I will bring again [H8804] H7622 the captivity H5971 of my people H3478 of Israel H1129 , and they shall build [H8804] H8074 the waste [H8737] H5892 cities H3427 , and inhabit [H8804] H5193 them; and they shall plant [H8804] H3754 vineyards H8354 , and drink [H8804] H3196 the wine H6213 thereof; they shall also make [H8804] H1593 gardens H398 , and eat [H8804] H6529 the fruit of them.

15 H5193 And I will plant [H8804] H127 them upon their land H5428 , and they shall no more be pulled up [H8735] H127 out of their land H5414 which I have given [H8804] H559 them, saith [H8804] H3068 the LORD H430 thy God.
