Exodus 19:3-8 Then Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain: "This is what you shall say to the house of Jacob and declare to the sons of Israel,

ISV⁽ⁱ⁾ ³ Then Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain: "This is what you shall say to the house of Jacob and declare to the sons of Israel, ⁴ 'You saw what I did to the Egyptians, and how I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. ⁵ And now if you carefully obey me and keep my covenant, you shall be my special possession out of all the peoples. For the whole earth belongs to me, ⁶ but you shall be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation to me.' These are the words you shall declare to the Israelites." ⁷ When Moses came, he summoned the elders of the people and told them everything that the LORD had commanded him. ⁸ All the people answered together: "All that the LORD has said, we will do!" Then Moses reported all the words of the people back to the LORD.
