Nehemiah 9:27-37 ותתנם Therefore thou deliveredst ביד them into the hand צריהם of their enemies, ויצרו להם ובעת them: and in the time צרתם of their trouble, יצעקו when they cried אליך unto ואתה thee, thou משׁמים from heaven; תשׁמע heardest וכרחמיך mercies הרבים and according to thy manifold תתן thou gavest להם מושׁיעים them saviors, ויושׁיעום who saved מיד them out of the hand צריהם׃ of their enemies.

28 H5117 וכנוח But after they had rest, H7725 להם ישׁובו again H6213 לעשׂות they did H7451 רע evil H6440 לפניך before H5800 ותעזבם thee: therefore leftest H3027 ביד thou them in the hand H341 איביהם of their enemies, H7287 וירדו so that they had the dominion H7725 בהם וישׁובו over them: yet when they returned, H2199 ויזעקוך and cried H859 ואתה unto thee, thou H8064 משׁמים from heaven; H8085 תשׁמע heardest H5337 ותצילם didst thou deliver H7356 כרחמיך them according to thy mercies; H7227 רבות and many H6256 עתים׃ times

29 H5749 ותעד And testifiedst H7725 בהם להשׁיבם against them, that thou mightest bring them again H413 אל unto H8451 תורתך thy law: H1992 והמה yet they H2102 הזידו dealt proudly, H3808 ולא not H8085 שׁמעו and hearkened H4687 למצותיך unto thy commandments, H4941 ובמשׁפטיך against thy judgments, H2398 חטאו but sinned H834 בם אשׁר (which H6213 יעשׂה do, H120 אדם if a man H2421 וחיה he shall live H5414 בהם ויתנו H3802 כתף the shoulder, H5637 סוררת H6203 וערפם their neck, H7185 הקשׁו and hardened H3808 ולא and would not H8085 שׁמעו׃ hear.

30 H4900 ותמשׁך didst thou forbear H5921 עליהם didst thou forbear H8141 שׁנים years H7227 רבות Yet many H5749 ותעד them, and testifiedst H7307 בם ברוחך against them by thy spirit H3027 ביד in H5030 נביאיך thy prophets: H3808 ולא yet would they not H238 האזינו give ear: H5414 ותתנם therefore gavest H3027 ביד thou them into the hand H5971 עמי of the people H776 הארצת׃ of the lands.

31 H7356 וברחמיך mercies' H7227 הרבים Nevertheless for thy great H3808 לא sake thou didst not H6213 עשׂיתם utterly consume H3617 כלה utterly consume H3808 ולא them, nor H5800 עזבתם forsake H3588 כי them; for H410 אל God. H2587 חנון a gracious H7349 ורחום and merciful H859 אתה׃ thou

32 H6258 ועתה Now H430 אלהינו therefore, our God, H410 האל God, H1419 הגדול the great, H1368 הגבור the mighty, H3372 והנורא and the terrible H8104 שׁומר who keepest H1285 הברית covenant H2617 והחסד and mercy, H408 אל let not H4591 ימעט seem little H6440 לפניך before H853 את H3605 כל all H8513 התלאה the trouble H834 אשׁר thee, that H4672 מצאתנו hath come upon H4428 למלכינו us, on our kings, H8269 לשׂרינו on our princes, H3548 ולכהנינו and on our priests, H5030 ולנביאנו and on our prophets, H1 ולאבתינו and on our fathers, H3605 ולכל and on all H5971 עמך thy people, H3117 מימי since the time H4428 מלכי of the kings H804 אשׁור of Assyria H5704 עד unto H3117 היום day. 33 H859 ואתה Howbeit thou H6662 צדיק just H5921 על in H3605 כל all H935 הבא that is brought H5921 עלינו upon H3588 כי us; for H571 אמת right, H6213 עשׂית thou hast done H587 ואנחנו but we H7561 הרשׁענו׃ have done wickedly:

34 H853 ואת H4428 מלכינו Neither have our kings, H8269 שׂרינו our princes, H3548 כהנינו our priests, H1 ואבתינו our fathers, H3808 לא nor H6213 עשׂו kept H8451 תורתך thy law, H3808 ולא nor H7181 הקשׁיבו hearkened H413 אל unto H4687 מצותיך thy commandments H5715 ולעדותיך and thy testimonies, H834 אשׁר wherewith H5749 העידת׃ thou didst testify

35 H1992 והם For they H4438 במלכותם thee in their kingdom, H2898 ובטובך goodness H7227 הרב and in thy great H834 אשׁר that H5414 נתת thou gavest H776 להם ובארץ land H7342 הרחבה them, and in the large H8082 והשׁמנה and fat H834 אשׁר which H5414 נתת thou gavest H6440 לפניהם before H3808 לא have not H5647 עבדוך served H3808 ולא them, neither H7725 שׁבו turned H4611 ממעלליהם works. 36 H2009 הנה Behold, H587 אנחנו we H3117 היום this day, H5650 עבדים servants H776 והארץ and the land H834 אשׁר that H5414 נתתה thou gavest H1 לאבתינו unto our fathers H398 לאכל to eat H853 את H6529 פריה the fruit H853 ואת H2898 טובה thereof and the good H2009 הנה thereof, behold, H587 אנחנו we H5650 עבדים servants H5921 עליה׃ in
