Judges 2:20-23 ויחר was hot אף And the anger יהוה of the LORD בישׂראל against Israel; ויאמר and he said, יען Because אשׁר that עברו hath transgressed הגוי people הזה this את בריתי my covenant אשׁר which צויתי I commanded את אבותם their fathers, ולא and have not שׁמעו hearkened לקולי׃ unto my voice;

20 H2734 ויחר was hot H639 אף And the anger H3068 יהוה of the LORD H3478 בישׂראל against Israel; H559 ויאמר and he said, H3282 יען Because H834 אשׁר that H5674 עברו hath transgressed H1471 הגוי people H2088 הזה this H853 את H1285 בריתי my covenant H834 אשׁר which H6680 צויתי I commanded H853 את H1 אבותם their fathers, H3808 ולא and have not H8085 שׁמעו hearkened H6963 לקולי׃ unto my voice;

21 H1571 גם also H589 אני I H3808 לא will not H3254 אוסיף henceforth H3423 להורישׁ drive out H376 אישׁ any H6440 מפניהם from before H4480 מן from before H1471 הגוים the nations H834 אשׁר which H5800 עזב left H3091 יהושׁע Joshua H4191 וימת׃ when he died:

22 H4616 למען That H5254 נסות through them I may prove H853 בם את H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H8104 השׁמרים will keep H1992 הם whether they H853 את H1870 דרך the way H3068 יהוה of the LORD H1980 ללכת to walk H834 בם כאשׁר therein, as H8104 שׁמרו did keep H1 אבותם their fathers H518 אם or H3808 לא׃ not.

23 H3240 וינח H3068 יהוה Therefore the LORD H853 את H1471 הגוים nations, H428 האלה those H1115 לבלתי without H3423 הורישׁם driving them out H4118 מהר hastily; H3808 ולא neither H5414 נתנם delivered H3027 ביד he them into the hand H3091 יהושׁע׃ of Joshua.
