Judges 2:10-23 וגם And also כל all הדור generation ההוא that נאספו were gathered אל unto אבותיו their fathers: ויקם and there arose דור generation אחר another אחריהם after אשׁר them, which לא not ידעו knew את יהוה the LORD, וגם nor yet את המעשׂה the works אשׁר which עשׂה he had done לישׂראל׃ for Israel.

10 H1571 וגם And also H3605 כל all H1755 הדור generation H1931 ההוא that H622 נאספו were gathered H413 אל unto H1 אבותיו their fathers: H6965 ויקם and there arose H1755 דור generation H312 אחר another H310 אחריהם after H834 אשׁר them, which H3808 לא not H3045 ידעו knew H853 את H3068 יהוה the LORD, H1571 וגם nor yet H853 את H4639 המעשׂה the works H834 אשׁר which H6213 עשׂה he had done H3478 לישׂראל׃ for Israel.

11 H6213 ויעשׂו did H1121 בני And the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H853 את H7451 הרע evil H5869 בעיני in the sight H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H5647 ויעבדו and served H853 את H1168 הבעלים׃ Baalim:

12 H5800 ויעזבו And they forsook H853 את H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H1 אבותם of their fathers, H3318 המוציא H853 אותם H776 מארץ of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H1980 וילכו and followed H310 אחרי and followed H430 אלהים gods, H312 אחרים other H430 מאלהי of the gods H5971 העמים of the people H834 אשׁר that H5439 סביבותיהם round about H7812 וישׁתחוו them, and bowed themselves H3707 להם ויכעסו unto them, and provoked H853 את H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD

13 H5800 ויעזבו And they forsook H853 את H3068 יהוה the LORD, H5647 ויעבדו and served H1168 לבעל Baal H6252 ולעשׁתרות׃ and Ashtaroth.

14 H2734 ויחר was hot H639 אף And the anger H3068 יהוה of the LORD H3478 בישׂראל against Israel, H5414 ויתנם and he delivered H3027 ביד them into the hands H8154 שׁסים of spoilers H8155 וישׁסו that spoiled H853 אותם H4376 וימכרם them, and he sold H3027 ביד them into the hands H341 אויביהם of their enemies H5439 מסביב round about, H3808 ולא not H3201 יכלו so that they could H5750 עוד any longer H5975 לעמד stand H6440 לפני before H341 אויביהם׃ their enemies.

15 H3605 בכל H834 אשׁר as H3318 יצאו they went out, H3027 יד the hand H3068 יהוה of the LORD H1961 היתה was H7451 בם לרעה against them for evil, H834 כאשׁר and as H1696 דבר had said, H3068 יהוה the LORD H834 וכאשׁר H7650 נשׁבע had sworn H3068 יהוה the LORD H3334 להם ויצר distressed. H3966 להם מאד׃ unto them: and they were greatly

16 H6965 ויקם raised up H3068 יהוה Nevertheless the LORD H8199 שׁפטים judges, H3467 ויושׁיעום which delivered H3027 מיד them out of the hand H8154 שׁסיהם׃ of those that spoiled

17 H1571 וגם And yet H413 אל unto H8199 שׁפטיהם their judges, H3808 לא they would not H8085 שׁמעו hearken H3588 כי but H2181 זנו they went a whoring H310 אחרי after H430 אלהים gods, H312 אחרים other H7812 וישׁתחוו and bowed themselves H5493 להם סרו unto them: they turned H4118 מהר quickly H4480 מן out of H1870 הדרך the way H834 אשׁר which H1980 הלכו walked H1 אבותם their fathers H8085 לשׁמע in, obeying H4687 מצות the commandments H3068 יהוה of the LORD; H3808 לא not H6213 עשׂו they did H3651 כן׃ so.

18 H3588 וכי And when H6965 הקים raised them up H3068 יהוה the LORD H8199 להם שׁפטים judges, H1961 והיה was H3068 יהוה then the LORD H5973 עם with H8199 השׁפט the judge, H3467 והושׁיעם and delivered H3027 מיד them out of the hand H341 איביהם of their enemies H3605 כל all H3117 ימי the days H8199 השׁופט of the judge: H3588 כי for H5162 ינחם it repented H3068 יהוה the LORD H5009 מנאקתם because of their groanings H6440 מפני by reason of them H3905 לחציהם that oppressed H1766 ודחקיהם׃ them and vexed

19 H1961 והיה And it came to pass, H4191 במות was dead, H8199 השׁופט when the judge H7725 ישׁבו they returned, H7843 והשׁחיתו and corrupted H1 מאבותם more than their fathers, H1980 ללכת in following H310 אחרי in following H430 אלהים gods H312 אחרים other H5647 לעבדם to serve H7812 ולהשׁתחות them, and to bow down H3808 להם לא not H5307 הפילו unto them; they ceased H4611 ממעלליהם from their own doings, H1870 ומדרכם H7186 הקשׁה׃

20 H2734 ויחר was hot H639 אף And the anger H3068 יהוה of the LORD H3478 בישׂראל against Israel; H559 ויאמר and he said, H3282 יען Because H834 אשׁר that H5674 עברו hath transgressed H1471 הגוי people H2088 הזה this H853 את H1285 בריתי my covenant H834 אשׁר which H6680 צויתי I commanded H853 את H1 אבותם their fathers, H3808 ולא and have not H8085 שׁמעו hearkened H6963 לקולי׃ unto my voice;

21 H1571 גם also H589 אני I H3808 לא will not H3254 אוסיף henceforth H3423 להורישׁ drive out H376 אישׁ any H6440 מפניהם from before H4480 מן from before H1471 הגוים the nations H834 אשׁר which H5800 עזב left H3091 יהושׁע Joshua H4191 וימת׃ when he died:

22 H4616 למען That H5254 נסות through them I may prove H853 בם את H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H8104 השׁמרים will keep H1992 הם whether they H853 את H1870 דרך the way H3068 יהוה of the LORD H1980 ללכת to walk H834 בם כאשׁר therein, as H8104 שׁמרו did keep H1 אבותם their fathers H518 אם or H3808 לא׃ not.

23 H3240 וינח H3068 יהוה Therefore the LORD H853 את H1471 הגוים nations, H428 האלה those H1115 לבלתי without H3423 הורישׁם driving them out H4118 מהר hastily; H3808 ולא neither H5414 נתנם delivered H3027 ביד he them into the hand H3091 יהושׁע׃ of Joshua.
