Joshua 9:23-27 ועתה Now ארורים cursed, אתם therefore ye ולא and there shall none יכרת you be freed מכם of עבד from being bondmen, וחטבי and hewers עצים of wood ושׁאבי and drawers מים of water לבית for the house אלהי׃ of my God.

24 H6030 ויענו And they answered H853 את H3091 יהושׁע Joshua, H559 ויאמרו and said, H3588 כי Because H5046 הגד it was certainly told H5046 הגד it was certainly told H5650 לעבדיך thy servants, H853 את H834 אשׁר how that H6680 צוה commanded H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H853 את H4872 משׁה Moses H5650 עבדו his servant H5414 לתת to give H853 לכם את H3605 כל you all H776 הארץ the land, H8045 ולהשׁמיד and to destroy H853 את H3605 כל all H3427 ישׁבי the inhabitants H776 הארץ of the land H6440 מפניכם from before H3372 ונירא afraid H3966 מאד you, therefore we were sore H5315 לנפשׁתינו of our lives H6440 מפניכם because of H6213 ונעשׂה you, and have done H853 את H1697 הדבר thing. H2088 הזה׃ this

25 H6258 ועתה And now, H2005 הננו H3027 בידך we in thine hand: H2896 כטוב as it seemeth good H3477 וכישׁר and right H5869 בעיניך unto thee H6213 לעשׂות to do H6213 לנו עשׂה׃ unto us, do.

26 H6213 ויעשׂ did H3651 להם כן And so H5337 ויצל he unto them, and delivered H853 אותם H3027 מיד them out of the hand H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H3808 ולא them not. H2026 הרגום׃ that they slew

27 H5414 ויתנם made H3091 יהושׁע And Joshua H3117 ביום day H1931 ההוא them that H2404 חטבי hewers H6086 עצים of wood H7579 ושׁאבי and drawers H4325 מים of water H5712 לעדה for the congregation, H4196 ולמזבח and for the altar H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H5704 עד even unto H3117 היום day, H2088 הזה this H413 אל in H4725 המקום the place H834 אשׁר which H977 יבחר׃ he should choose.
