Joshua 7:1-5 וימעלו committed בני But the children ישׂראל of Israel מעל a trespass בחרם in the accursed thing: ויקח took עכן for Achan, בן the son כרמי of Carmi, בן the son זבדי of Zabdi, בן the son זרח of Zerah, למטה of the tribe יהודה of Judah, מן of החרם the accursed thing: ויחר was kindled אף and the anger יהוה of the LORD בבני against the children ישׂראל׃ of Israel.

1 H4603 וימעלו committed H1121 בני But the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H4604 מעל a trespass H2764 בחרם in the accursed thing: H3947 ויקח took H5912 עכן for Achan, H1121 בן the son H3756 כרמי of Carmi, H1121 בן the son H2067 זבדי of Zabdi, H1121 בן the son H2226 זרח of Zerah, H4294 למטה of the tribe H3063 יהודה of Judah, H4480 מן of H2764 החרם the accursed thing: H2734 ויחר was kindled H639 אף and the anger H3068 יהוה of the LORD H1121 בבני against the children H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.

2 H7971 וישׁלח sent H3091 יהושׁע And Joshua H376 אנשׁים men H3405 מיריחו H5857 העי to Ai, H834 אשׁר which H5973 עם beside H1007 בית און Beth-aven, H6924 מקדם on the east side H1008 לבית אל of Bethel, H559 ויאמר and spoke H413 אליהם unto H559 לאמר them, saying, H5927 עלו Go up H7270 ורגלו and view H853 את H776 הארץ the country. H5927 ויעלו went up H376 האנשׁים And the men H7270 וירגלו and viewed H853 את H5857 העי׃ Ai.

3 H7725 וישׁבו And they returned H413 אל to H3091 יהושׁע Joshua, H559 ויאמרו and said H413 אליו unto H408 אל him, Let not H5927 יעל go up; H3605 כל all H5971 העם the people H505 כאלפים but let about two H376 אישׁ men H176 או or H7969 כשׁלשׁת three H505 אלפים thousand H376 אישׁ H5927 יעלו go up H5221 ויכו and smite H853 את H5857 העי Ai; H408 אל make not H3021 תיגע to labor H8033 שׁמה thither; H853 את H3605 כל all H5971 העם the people H3588 כי for H4592 מעט few. H1992 המה׃ they

4 H5927 ויעלו So there went up H4480 מן of H5971 העם the people H8033 שׁמה thither H7969 כשׁלשׁת about three H505 אלפים thousand H376 אישׁ men: H5127 וינסו and they fled H6440 לפני before H376 אנשׁי the men H5857 העי׃ of Ai.

5 H5221 ויכו smote H1992 מהם H582 אנשׁי H5857 העי of Ai H7970 כשׁלשׁים them about thirty H8337 ושׁשׁה and six H376 אישׁ And the men H7291 וירדפום for they chased H6440 לפני them before H8179 השׁער the gate H5704 עד unto H7671 השׁברים Shebarim, H5221 ויכום and smote H4174 במורד them in the going down: H4549 וימס melted, H3824 לבב wherefore the hearts H5971 העם of the people H1961 ויהי and became H4325 למים׃ as water.
