1 H6030 ויען answered H347 איוב But Job H559 ויאמר׃ and said,

2 H8085 שׁמעו H8085 שׁמוע H4405 מלתי my speech, H1961 ותהי be H2063 זאת and let this H8575 תנחומתיכם׃ your consolations.

3 H5375 שׂאוני Suffer H595 ואנכי me that I H1696 אדבר may speak; H310 ואחר and after that H1696 דברי I have spoken, H3932 תלעיג׃ mock on.

4 H595 האנכי As for me, H120 לאדם to man? H7879 שׂיחי my complaint H518 ואם and if H4069 מדוע why H3808 לא should not H7114 תקצר be troubled? H7307 רוחי׃ my spirit

5 H6437 פנו H413 אלי H8074 והשׁמו me, and be astonished, H7760 ושׂימו and lay H3027 יד hand H5921 על upon H6310 פה׃ mouth.

6 H518 ואם Even when H2142 זכרתי I remember H926 ונבהלתי I am afraid, H270 ואחז taketh hold H1320 בשׂרי on my flesh. H6427 פלצות׃ and trembling

7 H4069 מדוע Wherefore H7563 רשׁעים do the wicked H2421 יחיו live, H6275 עתקו become old, H1571 גם yea, H1396 גברו are mighty H2428 חיל׃ in power?

8 H2233 זרעם Their seed H3559 נכון is established H6440 לפניהם in their sight H5973 עמם with H6631 וצאצאיהם them, and their offspring H5869 לעיניהם׃ before their eyes.

9 H1004 בתיהם Their houses H7965 שׁלום safe H6343 מפחד from fear, H3808 ולא neither H7626 שׁבט the rod H433 אלוה of God H5921 עליהם׃ upon

10 H7794 שׁורו Their bull H5674 עבר engendereth, H3808 ולא not; H1602 יגעל and faileth H6403 תפלט calveth, H6510 פרתו their cow H3808 ולא and casteth not her calf. H7921 תשׁכל׃ and casteth not her calf.

11 H7971 ישׁלחו They send forth H6629 כצאן like a flock, H5759 עויליהם their little ones H3206 וילדיהם and their children H7540 ירקדון׃ dance.

12 H5375 ישׂאו They take H8596 כתף the timbrel H3658 וכנור and harp, H8055 וישׂמחו and rejoice H6963 לקול at the sound H5748 עוגב׃ of the organ.

13 H1086 יבלו H2896 בטוב in wealth, H3117 ימיהם their days H7281 וברגע and in a moment H7585 שׁאול to the grave. H5181 יחתו׃ go down

14 H559 ויאמרו Therefore they say H410 לאל unto God, H5493 סור Depart H4480 ממנו from H1847 ודעת the knowledge H1870 דרכיך of thy ways. H3808 לא not H2654 חפצנו׃ us; for we desire

15 H4100 מה What H7706 שׁדי the Almighty, H3588 כי that H5647 נעבדנו we should serve H4100 ומה him? and what H3276 נועיל profit H3588 כי should we have, if H6293 נפגע׃ we pray

16 H2005 הן Lo, H3808 לא not H3027 בידם in their hand: H2898 טובם their good H6098 עצת the counsel H7563 רשׁעים of the wicked H7368 רחקה is far H4480 מני׃ from

17 H4100 כמה How oft H5216 נר is the candle H7563 רשׁעים of the wicked H1846 ידעך put out! H935 ויבא and cometh H5921 עלימו upon H343 אידם their destruction H2256 חבלים sorrows H2505 יחלק them! distributeth H639 באפו׃ in his anger.

18 H1961 יהיו They are H8401 כתבן as stubble H6440 לפני before H7307 רוח the wind, H4671 וכמץ and as chaff H1589 גנבתו carrieth away. H5492 סופה׃ that the storm

19 H433 אלוה God H6845 יצפן layeth up H1121 לבניו for his children: H205 אונו his iniquity H7999 ישׁלם he rewardeth H413 אליו he rewardeth H3045 וידע׃ him, and he shall know

20 H7200 יראו shall see H5869 עינו His eyes H3589 כידו his destruction, H2534 ומחמת of the wrath H7706 שׁדי of the Almighty. H8354 ישׁתה׃ and he shall drink

21 H3588 כי For H4100 מה what H2656 חפצו pleasure H1004 בביתו he in his house H310 אחריו after H4557 ומספר him, when the number H2320 חדשׁיו of his months H2686 חצצו׃ is cut off in the midst?

22 H410 הלאל God H3925 ילמד Shall teach H1847 דעת knowledge? H1931 והוא seeing he H7311 רמים those that are high. H8199 ישׁפוט׃ judgeth

23 H2088 זה One H4191 ימות dieth H6106 בעצם strength, H8537 תמו in his full H3605 כלו being wholly H7946 שׁלאנן at ease H7961 ושׁליו׃ and quiet.

24 H5845 עטיניו His breasts H4390 מלאו are full H2461 חלב of milk, H4221 ומח with marrow. H6106 עצמותיו and his bones H8248 ישׁקה׃ are moistened

25 H2088 וזה And another H4191 ימות dieth H5315 בנפשׁ of his soul, H4751 מרה in the bitterness H3808 ולא and never H398 אכל eateth H2896 בטובה׃ with pleasure.

26 H3162 יחד alike H5921 על in H6083 עפר the dust, H7901 ישׁכבו They shall lie down H7415 ורמה and the worms H3680 תכסה shall cover H5921 עליהם׃ shall cover

27 H2005 הן Behold, H3045 ידעתי I know H4284 מחשׁבותיכם your thoughts, H4209 ומזמות and the devices H5921 עלי against H2554 תחמסו׃ ye wrongfully imagine

28 H3588 כי For H559 תאמרו ye say, H346 איה Where H1004 בית the house H5081 נדיב of the prince? H346 ואיה and where H168 אהל places H4908 משׁכנות the dwelling H7563 רשׁעים׃ of the wicked?

29 H3808 הלא Have ye not H7592 שׁאלתם asked H5674 עוברי them that go H1870 דרך by the way? H226 ואתתם their tokens, H3808 לא and do ye not H5234 תנכרו׃ know

30 H3588 כי That H3117 ליום to the day H343 איד of destruction? H2820 יחשׂך is reserved H7451 רע the wicked H3117 ליום to the day H5678 עברות of wrath. H2986 יובלו׃ they shall be brought forth

31 H4310 מי Who H5046 יגיד shall declare H5921 על to H6440 פניו his face? H1870 דרכו his way H1931 והוא him he H6213 עשׂה hath done? H4310 מי and who H7999 ישׁלם׃ shall repay

32 H1931 והוא Yet shall he H6913 לקברות to the grave, H2986 יובל be brought H5921 ועל in H1430 גדישׁ the tomb. H8245 ישׁקוד׃ and shall remain

33 H4985 מתקו shall be sweet H7263 לו רגבי The clods H5158 נחל of the valley H310 ואחריו after H3605 כל unto him, and every H120 אדם man H4900 ימשׁוך shall draw H6440 ולפניו before H369 אין him, as innumerable H4557 מספר׃ him, as innumerable

34 H349 ואיך How H5162 תנחמוני then comfort H1892 הבל ye me in vain, H8666 ותשׁובתיכם seeing in your answers H7604 נשׁאר there remaineth H4604 מעל׃ falsehood?
