2 H551 אמנם No doubt H3588 כי but H859 אתם ye H5971 עם the people, H5973 ועמכם with H4191 תמות shall die H2451 חכמה׃ and wisdom

3 H1571 גם But H3824 לי לבב I have understanding H3644 כמוכם as well as you; H3808 לא not H5307 נפל inferior H595 אנכי I H4480 מכם to H854 ואת you: yea, H4310 מי who H369 אין knoweth not H3644 כמו such things as these? H428 אלה׃ such things as these?

4 H7814 שׂחק one mocked H7453 לרעהו of his neighbor, H1961 אהיה I am H7121 קרא who calleth H433 לאלוה upon God, H6030 ויענהו and he answereth H7814 שׂחוק laughed to scorn. H6662 צדיק him: the just H8549 תמים׃ upright

5 H3940 לפיד a lamp H937 בוז despised H6248 לעשׁתות in the thought H7600 שׁאנן of him that is at ease. H3559 נכון He that is ready H4571 למועדי to slip H7272 רגל׃ with feet

6 H7951 ישׁליו prosper, H168 אהלים The tabernacles H7703 לשׁדדים of robbers H987 ובטחות are secure; H7264 למרגיזי and they that provoke H410 אל God H834 לאשׁר into whose H935 הביא bringeth H433 אלוה God H3027 בידו׃ hand

7 H199 ואולם But H7592 שׁאל ask H4994 נא now H929 בהמות the beasts, H3384 ותרך and they shall teach H5775 ועוף thee; and the fowls H8064 השׁמים of the air, H5046 ויגד׃ and they shall tell

8 H176 או Or H7878 שׂיח speak H776 לארץ to the earth, H3384 ותרך and it shall teach H5608 ויספרו shall declare H1709 לך דגי thee: and the fishes H3220 הים׃ of the sea

9 H4310 מי Who H3808 לא not H3045 ידע knoweth H3605 בכל in all H428 אלה these H3588 כי that H3027 יד the hand H3069 יהוה H6213 עשׂתה hath wrought H2063 זאת׃ this?

10 H834 אשׁר In whose H3027 בידו hand H5315 נפשׁ the soul H3605 כל of every H2416 חי living thing, H7307 ורוח and the breath H3605 כל of all H1320 בשׂר mankind. H376 אישׁ׃ mankind.

11 H3808 הלא Doth not H241 אזן the ear H4405 מלין words? H974 תבחן try H2441 וחך and the mouth H400 אכל his meat? H2938 יטעם׃ taste

12 H3453 בישׁישׁים With the ancient H2451 חכמה wisdom; H753 וארך and in length H3117 ימים of days H8394 תבונה׃ understanding.

13 H5973 עמו With H2451 חכמה him wisdom H1369 וגבורה and strength, H6098 לו עצה he hath counsel H8394 ותבונה׃ and understanding.

14 H2005 הן Behold, H2040 יהרוס he breaketh down, H3808 ולא and it cannot H1129 יבנה be built again: H5462 יסגר he shutteth up H5921 על he shutteth up H376 אישׁ a man, H3808 ולא and there can be no opening. H6605 יפתח׃ and there can be no opening.

15 H2005 הן Behold, H6113 יעצר he withholdeth H4325 במים the waters, H3001 ויבשׁו and they dry up: H7971 וישׁלחם also he sendeth them out, H2015 ויהפכו and they overturn H776 ארץ׃ the earth.

16 H5973 עמו With H5797 עז him strength H8454 ותושׁיה and wisdom: H7683 לו שׁגג the deceived H7686 ומשׁגה׃ and the deceiver

17 H1980 מוליך He leadeth H3289 יועצים counselors H7758 שׁולל away spoiled, H8199 ושׁפטים and maketh the judges H1984 יהולל׃ fools.

18 H4148 מוסר the bond H4428 מלכים of kings, H6605 פתח He looseth H631 ויאסר and girdeth H232 אזור with a girdle. H4975 במתניהם׃ their loins

19 H1980 מוליך He leadeth H3548 כהנים princes H7758 שׁולל away spoiled, H386 ואתנים the mighty. H5557 יסלף׃ and overthroweth

20 H5493 מסיר He removeth away H8193 שׂפה the speech H539 לנאמנים of the trusty, H2940 וטעם the understanding H2205 זקנים of the aged. H3947 יקח׃ and taketh away

21 H8210 שׁופך He poureth H937 בוז contempt H5921 על upon H5081 נדיבים princes, H4206 ומזיח the strength H650 אפיקים of the mighty. H7503 רפה׃ and weakeneth

22 H1540 מגלה He discovereth H6013 עמקות deep things H4480 מני out of H2822 חשׁך darkness, H3318 ויצא and bringeth out H216 לאור to light H6757 צלמות׃ the shadow of death.

23 H7679 משׂגיא He increaseth H1471 לגוים the nations, H6 ויאבדם and destroyeth H7849 שׁטח them: he enlargeth H1471 לגוים the nations, H5148 וינחם׃ and straiteneth

24 H5493 מסיר He taketh away H3820 לב the heart H7218 ראשׁי of the chief H5971 עם of the people H776 הארץ of the earth, H8582 ויתעם and causeth them to wander H8414 בתהו in a wilderness H3808 לא no H1870 דרך׃ way.

25 H4959 ימשׁשׁו They grope H2822 חשׁך in the dark H3808 ולא without H216 אור light, H8582 ויתעם and he maketh them to stagger H7910 כשׁכור׃ like drunken
