Jeremiah 38:1-4 וישׁמע heard שׁפטיה Then Shephatiah בן the son מתן of Mattan, וגדליהו and Gedaliah בן the son פשׁחור of Pashur, ויוכל and Jucal בן the son שׁלמיהו of Shelemiah, ופשׁחור and Pashur בן the son מלכיה of Malchiah, את הדברים the words אשׁר that ירמיהו Jeremiah מדבר had spoken אל unto כל all העם the people, לאמר׃ saying,

1 H8085 וישׁמע heard H8203 שׁפטיה Then Shephatiah H1121 בן the son H4977 מתן of Mattan, H1436 וגדליהו and Gedaliah H1121 בן the son H6583 פשׁחור of Pashur, H3116 ויוכל and Jucal H1121 בן the son H8018 שׁלמיהו of Shelemiah, H6583 ופשׁחור and Pashur H1121 בן the son H4441 מלכיה of Malchiah, H853 את H1697 הדברים the words H834 אשׁר that H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah H1696 מדבר had spoken H413 אל unto H3605 כל all H5971 העם the people, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

2 H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H3427 הישׁב He that remaineth H5892 בעיר city H2063 הזאת in this H4191 ימות shall die H2719 בחרב by the sword, H7458 ברעב by the famine, H1698 ובדבר and by the pestilence: H3318 והיצא but he that goeth forth H413 אל to H3778 הכשׂדים the Chaldeans H2421 יחיה shall live; H1961 והיתה for he shall have H5315 לו נפשׁו his life H7998 לשׁלל for a prey, H2421 וחי׃

3 H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H5414 הנתן shall surely be given H5414 תנתן shall surely be given H5892 העיר city H2063 הזאת This H3027 ביד into the hand H2428 חיל army, H4428 מלך of the king H894 בבל of Babylon's H3920 ולכדה׃ which shall take

4 H559 ויאמרו said H8269 השׂרים Therefore the princes H413 אל unto H4428 המלך the king, H4191 יומת be put to death: H4994 נא We beseech thee, H853 את H376 האישׁ man H2088 הזה let this H3588 כי for H5921 על thus H3651 כן thus H1931 הוא he H7503 מרפא weakeneth H853 את H3027 ידי the hands H376 אנשׁי of the men H4421 המלחמה of war H7604 הנשׁארים that remain H5892 בעיר city, H2063 הזאת in this H853 ואת H3027 ידי and the hands H3605 כל of all H5971 העם the people, H1696 לדבר in speaking H413 אליהם unto H1697 כדברים words H428 האלה such H3588 כי them: for H376 האישׁ man H2088 הזה this H369 איננו not H1875 דרשׁ seeketh H7965 לשׁלום the welfare H5971 לעם people, H2088 הזה of this H3588 כי but H518 אם but H7451 לרעה׃ the hurt.
