Jeremiah 34:9-17

  9 H7971 לשׁלח go H376 אישׁ That every man H853 את   H5650 עבדו should let his manservant, H376 ואישׁ and every man H853 את   H8198 שׁפחתו his maidservant, H5680 העברי a Hebrew H5680 והעבריה or a Hebrewess, H2670 חפשׁים free; H1115 לבלתי that none H5647 עבד should serve H3064 בם ביהודי himself of them, of a Jew H251 אחיהו his brother. H376 אישׁ׃ that none

  10 H8085 וישׁמעו heard H3605 כל Now when all H8269 השׂרים the princes, H3605 וכל and all H5971 העם the people, H834 אשׁר which H935 באו had entered H1285 בברית into the covenant, H7971 לשׁלח go H376 אישׁ that every one H853 את   H5650 עבדו should let his manservant, H376 ואישׁ and every one H853 את   H8198 שׁפחתו his maidservant, H2670 חפשׁים free, H1115 לבלתי that none H5647 עבד should serve H5750 בם עוד themselves of them any more, H8085 וישׁמעו then they obeyed, H7971 וישׁלחו׃ and let go.

  11 H7725 וישׁובו they turned, H310 אחרי   H3651 כן   H7725 וישׁבו to return, H853 את   H5650 העבדים and caused the servants H853 ואת   H8198 השׁפחות and the handmaids, H834 אשׁר whom H7971 שׁלחו they had let go H2670 חפשׁים free, H3533 ויכבישׁום and brought them into subjection H5650 לעבדים for servants H8198 ולשׁפחות׃ and for handmaids.

  12 H1961 ויהי came H1697 דבר Therefore the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD H413 אל to H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah H853 מאת   H3068 יהוה the LORD, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

  13 H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H430 אלהי the God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel; H595 אנכי I H3772 כרתי made H1285 ברית a covenant H854 את with H1 אבותיכם your fathers H3117 ביום in the day H3318 הוצאי   H853 אותם   H776 מארץ out of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H1004 מבית out of the house H5650 עבדים of bondmen, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

  14 H7093 מקץ   H7651 שׁבע of seven H8141 שׁנים years H7971 תשׁלחו let ye go H376 אישׁ every man H853 את   H251 אחיו his brother H5680 העברי a Hebrew, H834 אשׁר which H4376 ימכר hath been sold H5647 לך ועבדך unto thee; and when he hath served H8337 שׁשׁ thee six H8141 שׁנים years, H7971 ושׁלחתו thou shalt let him go H2670 חפשׁי free H5973 מעמך from H3808 ולא not H8085 שׁמעו hearkened H1 אבותיכם thee: but your fathers H413 אלי unto H3808 ולא me, neither H5186 הטו inclined H853 את   H241 אזנם׃ their ear.

  15 H7725 ותשׁבו turned, H859 אתם And ye H3117 היום were now H6213 ותעשׂו and had done H853 את   H3477 הישׁר right H5869 בעיני in my sight, H7121 לקרא in proclaiming H1865 דרור liberty H376 אישׁ every man H7453 לרעהו to his neighbor; H3772 ותכרתו and ye had made H1285 ברית a covenant H6440 לפני before H1004 בבית me in the house H834 אשׁר which H7121 נקרא is called H8034 שׁמי my name: H5921 עליו׃ by

  16 H7725 ותשׁבו But ye turned H2490 ותחללו and polluted H853 את   H8034 שׁמי my name, H7725 ותשׁבו to return, H376 אישׁ and caused every man H853 את   H5650 עבדו his servant, H376 ואישׁ and every man H853 את   H8198 שׁפחתו his handmaid, H834 אשׁר whom H7971 שׁלחתם ye had set H2670 חפשׁים at liberty H5315 לנפשׁם at their pleasure, H3533 ותכבשׁו   H853 אתם   H1961 להיות to be H5650 לכם לעבדים unto you for servants H8198 ולשׁפחות׃ and for handmaids.

  17 H3651 לכן Therefore H3541 כה thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD; H859 אתם Ye H3808 לא have not H8085 שׁמעתם hearkened H413 אלי unto H7121 לקרא me, in proclaiming H1865 דרור liberty, H376 אישׁ every one H251 לאחיו to his brother, H376 ואישׁ and every man H7453 לרעהו to his neighbor: H2005 הנני   H7121 קרא I proclaim H1865 לכם דרור a liberty H5002 נאם for you, saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H413 אל to H2719 החרב the sword, H413 אל to H1698 הדבר the pestilence, H413 ואל and to H7458 הרעב the famine; H5414 ונתתי and I will make H853 אתכם   H2113 לזועה   H3605 לכל into all H4467 ממלכות the kingdoms H776 הארץ׃ of the earth.
