Isaiah 38:5-20 הלוך Go, ואמרת and say אל to חזקיהו Hezekiah, כה Thus אמר saith יהוה אלהי the God דוד of David אביך thy father, שׁמעתי I have heard את תפלתך thy prayer, ראיתי I have seen את דמעתך thy tears: הנני יוסף I will add על unto ימיך thy days חמשׁ fifteen עשׂרה fifteen שׁנה׃ years.

5 H1980 הלוך Go, H559 ואמרת and say H413 אל to H2396 חזקיהו Hezekiah, H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H3069 יהוה H430 אלהי the God H1732 דוד of David H1 אביך thy father, H8085 שׁמעתי I have heard H853 את H8605 תפלתך thy prayer, H7200 ראיתי I have seen H853 את H1832 דמעתך thy tears: H2005 הנני H3254 יוסף I will add H5921 על unto H3117 ימיך thy days H2568 חמשׁ fifteen H6240 עשׂרה fifteen H8141 שׁנה׃ years.

6 H3709 ומכף out of the hand H4428 מלך of the king H804 אשׁור of Assyria: H5337 אצילך And I will deliver H853 ואת H5892 העיר city H2063 הזאת thee and this H1598 וגנותי H5921 על H5892 העיר city. H2063 הזאת׃ this

7 H2088 וזה And this H226 לך האות a sign H853 מאת H3068 יהוה the LORD, H834 אשׁר that H6213 יעשׂה will do H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 את H1697 הדבר thing H2088 הזה this H834 אשׁר that H1696 דבר׃ he hath spoken;

8 H2005 הנני H7725 משׁיב I will bring again H853 את H6738 צל the shadow H4609 המעלות of the degrees, H834 אשׁר which H3381 ירדה is gone down H4609 במעלות dial H271 אחז of Ahaz, H8121 בשׁמשׁ in the sun H322 אחרנית backward. H6235 עשׂר ten H4609 מעלות degrees H7725 ותשׁב returned H8121 השׁמשׁ So the sun H6235 עשׂר ten H4609 מעלות degrees, H4609 במעלות degrees H834 אשׁר by which H3381 ירדה׃ it was gone down.

9 H4385 מכתב The writing H2396 לחזקיהו of Hezekiah H4428 מלך king H3063 יהודה of Judah, H2470 בחלתו when he had been sick, H2421 ויחי and was recovered H2483 מחליו׃ of his sickness:

10 H589 אני I H559 אמרתי said H1824 בדמי in the cutting off H3117 ימי of my days, H1980 אלכה I shall go H8179 בשׁערי to the gates H7585 שׁאול of the grave: H6485 פקדתי I am deprived H3499 יתר of the residue H8141 שׁנותי׃ of my years.

11 H559 אמרתי I said, H3808 לא I shall not H7200 אראה see H3050 יה the LORD, H3050 יה the LORD, H776 בארץ in the land H2416 החיים of the living: H3808 לא no H5027 אביט I shall behold H120 אדם man H5750 עוד more H5973 עם with H3427 יושׁבי the inhabitants H2309 חדל׃ of the world.

12 H1755 דורי Mine age H5265 נסע is departed, H1540 ונגלה and is removed H4480 מני from H168 כאהל tent: H7473 רעי me as a shepherd's H7088 קפדתי I have cut off H707 כארג like a weaver H2416 חיי my life: H1803 מדלה with pining sickness: H1214 יבצעני he will cut me off H3117 מיום from day H5704 עד to H3915 לילה night H7999 תשׁלימני׃ wilt thou make an end

13 H7737 שׁויתי I reckoned H5704 עד till H1242 בקר morning, H738 כארי as a lion, H3651 כן so H7665 ישׁבר will he break H3605 כל all H6106 עצמותי my bones: H3117 מיום from day H5704 עד to H3915 לילה night H7999 תשׁלימני׃ wilt thou make an end

14 H5483 כסוס Like a crane H5693 עגור a swallow, H3651 כן so H6850 אצפצף did I chatter: H1897 אהגה I did mourn H3123 כיונה as a dove: H1809 דלו fail H5869 עיני mine eyes H4791 למרום upward: H136 אדני O LORD, H6234 עשׁקה I am oppressed; H6148 לי ערבני׃

15 H4100 מה What H1696 אדבר shall I say? H559 ואמר he hath both spoken H1931 לי והוא unto me, and himself H6213 עשׂה hath done H1718 אדדה I shall go softly H3605 כל all H8141 שׁנותי my years H5921 על in H4751 מר the bitterness H5315 נפשׁי׃ of my soul.

16 H136 אדני O Lord, H5921 עליהם by H2421 יחיו these live, H3605 ולכל and in all H2416 בהן חיי the life H7307 רוחי of my spirit: H2492 ותחלימני so wilt thou recover H2421 והחיני׃ me, and make me to live.

17 H2009 הנה Behold, H7965 לשׁלום for peace H4751 מר H4751 לי מר H859 ואתה but thou H2836 חשׁקת hast in love H5315 נפשׁי to my soul H7845 משׁחת from the pit H1097 בלי of corruption: H3588 כי for H7993 השׁלכת thou hast cast H310 אחרי behind H1460 גוך thy back. H3605 כל all H2399 חטאי׃ my sins

18 H3588 כי For H3808 לא cannot H7585 שׁאול the grave H3034 תודך praise H4194 מות thee, death H1984 יהללך can celebrate H3808 לא cannot H7663 ישׂברו hope H3381 יורדי thee: they that go down H953 בור into the pit H413 אל for H571 אמתך׃ thy truth.

19 H2416 חי The living, H2416 חי the living, H1931 הוא he H3034 יודך shall praise H3644 כמוני H3117 היום thee, as I this day: H1 אב the father H1121 לבנים to the children H3045 יודיע shall make known H413 אל shall make known H571 אמתך׃ thy truth.

20 H3068 יהוה The LORD H3467 להושׁיעני to save H5058 ונגנותי to the stringed instruments H5059 ננגן me: therefore we will sing my songs H3605 כל all H3117 ימי the days H2416 חיינו of our life H5921 על in H1004 בית the house H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
