41 H1961 והיה And it came to pass, H3605 בכל whensoever H3179 יחם did conceive, H6629 הצאן cattle H7194 המקשׁרות the stronger H7760 ושׂם laid H3290 יעקב that Jacob H853 את H4731 המקלות the rods H5869 לעיני before the eyes H6629 הצאן of the cattle H7298 ברהטים in the gutters, H3179 ליחמנה that they might conceive H4731 במקלות׃ among the rods.

42 H5848 ובהעטיף were feeble, H6629 הצאן But when the cattle H3808 לא not H7760 ישׂים he put H1961 והיה were H5848 העטפים in: so the feebler H3837 ללבן Laban's, H7194 והקשׁרים and the stronger H3290 ליעקב׃ Jacob's.
