6 H559 ואמרה And said, H430 אלהי O my God, H954 בשׁתי I am ashamed H3637 ונכלמתי and blush H7311 להרים to lift up H430 אלהי thee, my God: H6440 פני my face H413 אליך to H3588 כי for H5771 עונתינו our iniquities H7235 רבו are increased H4605 למעלה over H7218 ראשׁ head, H819 ואשׁמתנו and our trespass H1431 גדלה is grown up H5704 עד unto H8064 לשׁמים׃ the heavens.

7 H3117 מימי day; H1 אבתינו of our fathers H587 אנחנו we H819 באשׁמה trespass H1419 גדלה in a great H5704 עד unto H3117 היום day. H2088 הזה this H5771 ובעונתינו and for our iniquities H5414 נתנו been delivered H587 אנחנו have we, H4428 מלכינו our kings, H3548 כהנינו our priests, H3027 ביד into the hand H4428 מלכי of the kings H776 הארצות of the lands, H2719 בחרב to the sword, H7628 בשׁבי to captivity, H961 ובבזה and to a spoil, H1322 ובבשׁת and to confusion H6440 פנים of face, H3117 כהיום H2088 הזה׃ as this

8 H6258 ועתה And now H4592 כמעט for a little H7281 רגע space H1961 היתה hath been H8467 תחנה grace H853 מאת H3069 יהוה H430 אלהינו our God, H7604 להשׁאיר to leave H6413 לנו פליטה us a remnant to escape, H5414 ולתת and to give H3489 לנו יתד us a nail H4725 במקום place, H6944 קדשׁו in his holy H215 להאיר may lighten H5869 עינינו our eyes, H430 אלהינו that our God H5414 ולתתנו and give H4241 מחיה reviving H4592 מעט us a little H5659 בעבדתנו׃ in our bondage.

9 H3588 כי For H5650 עבדים bondmen; H587 אנחנו we H5659 ובעבדתנו us in our bondage, H3808 לא hath not H5800 עזבנו forsaken H430 אלהינו yet our God H5186 ויט but hath extended H5921 עלינו unto H2617 חסד mercy H6440 לפני us in the sight H4428 מלכי of the kings H6539 פרס of Persia, H5414 לתת to give H4241 לנו מחיה us a reviving, H7311 לרומם to set up H853 את H1004 בית the house H430 אלהינו of our God, H5975 ולהעמיד and to repair H853 את H2723 חרבתיו the desolations H5414 ולתת thereof, and to give H1447 לנו גדר us a wall H3063 ביהודה in Judah H3389 ובירושׁלם׃ and in Jerusalem.

10 H6258 ועתה And now, H4100 מה what H559 נאמר shall we say H430 אלהינו O our God, H310 אחרי after H2063 זאת this? H3588 כי for H5800 עזבנו we have forsaken H4687 מצותיך׃ thy commandments,

11 H834 אשׁר Which H6680 צוית thou hast commanded H3027 ביד by H5650 עבדיך thy servants H5030 הנביאים the prophets, H559 לאמר saying, H776 הארץ The land, H834 אשׁר unto which H859 אתם ye H935 באים go H3423 לרשׁתה to possess H776 ארץ land H5079 נדה it, is an unclean H1931 היא H5079 בנדת with the filthiness H5971 עמי of the people H776 הארצות of the lands, H8441 בתועבתיהם with their abominations, H834 אשׁר which H4390 מלאוה have filled H6310 מפה it from one end H413 אל to H6310 פה another H2932 בטמאתם׃ with their uncleanness.

12 H6258 ועתה Now H1323 בנותיכם your daughters H408 אל not H5414 תתנו therefore give H1121 לבניהם unto their sons, H1323 ובנתיהם their daughters H408 אל neither H5375 תשׂאו take H1121 לבניכם unto your sons, H3808 ולא nor H1875 תדרשׁו seek H7965 שׁלמם their peace H2896 וטובתם or their wealth H5704 עד forever: H5769 עולם forever: H4616 למען that H2388 תחזקו ye may be strong, H398 ואכלתם and eat H853 את H2898 טוב the good H776 הארץ of the land, H3423 והורשׁתם and leave for an inheritance H1121 לבניכם to your children H5704 עד forever. H5769 עולם׃ forever.

13 H310 ואחרי And after H3605 כל all H935 הבא that is come H5921 עלינו upon H4639 במעשׂינו deeds, H7451 הרעים us for our evil H819 ובאשׁמתנו trespass, H1419 הגדלה and for our great H3588 כי seeing H859 אתה that thou H430 אלהינו our God H2820 חשׂכת hast punished H4295 למטה us less H5771 מעוננו than our iniquities H5414 ונתתה and hast given H6413 לנו פליטה us deliverance H2063 כזאת׃ as this;

14 H7725 הנשׁוב Should we again H6565 להפר break H4687 מצותיך thy commandments, H2859 ולהתחתן and join in affinity H5971 בעמי with the people H8441 התעבות abominations? H428 האלה of these H3808 הלוא wouldest not H599 תאנף thou be angry H5704 בנו עד with us till H3615 כלה thou hadst consumed H369 לאין so that no H7611 שׁארית remnant H6413 ופליטה׃ nor escaping?

15 H3068 יהוה O LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H6662 צדיק righteous: H859 אתה thou H3588 כי for H7604 נשׁארנו we remain H6413 פליטה yet escaped, H3117 כהיום day: H2088 הזה of this. H2005 הננו H6440 לפניך we before H819 באשׁמתינו thee in our trespasses: H3588 כי for H369 אין we cannot H5975 לעמוד stand H6440 לפניך before H5921 על thee because H2063 זאת׃ as this
