Esther 4:5-17

  5 H7121 ותקרא Then called H635 אסתר Esther H2047 להתך for Hatach, H5631 מסריסי chamberlains, H4428 המלך of the king's H834 אשׁר whom H5975 העמיד he had appointed H6440 לפניה to attend upon H6680 ותצוהו her, and gave him a commandment H5921 על to H4782 מרדכי Mordecai, H3045 לדעת to know H4100 מה what H2088 זה it H5921 ועל and why H4100 מה , and why H2088 זה׃ it

  6 H3318 ויצא went forth H2047 התך So Hatach H413 אל to H4782 מרדכי Mordecai H413 אל unto H7339 רחוב the street H5892 העיר of the city, H834 אשׁר which H6440 לפני before H8179 שׁער gate. H4428 המלך׃ the king's

  7 H5046 ויגד told H4782 לו מרדכי And Mordecai H853 את   H3605 כל him of all H834 אשׁר that H7136 קרהו had happened H853 ואת   H6575 פרשׁת unto him, andof the sum H3701 הכסף of the money H834 אשׁר that H559 אמר had promised H2001 המן Haman H8254 לשׁקול to pay H5921 על to H1595 גנזי treasuries H4428 המלך the king's H3064 ביהודיים for the Jews, H6 לאבדם׃ to destroy

  8 H853 ואת   H6572 פתשׁגן him the copy H3791 כתב of the writing H1881 הדת of the decree H834 אשׁר that H5414 נתן Also he gave H7800 בשׁושׁן at Shushan H8045 להשׁמידם to destroy H5414 נתן was given H7200 לו להראות them, to show H853 את   H635 אסתר unto Esther, H5046 ולהגיד and to declare H6680 לה ולצוות unto her, and to charge H5921 עליה her H935 לבוא that she should go in H413 אל unto H4428 המלך the king, H2603 להתחנן to make supplication H1245 לו ולבקשׁ unto him, and to make request H6440 מלפניו before H5921 על him for H5971 עמה׃ her people.

  9 H935 ויבוא came H2047 התך And Hatach H5046 ויגד and told H635 לאסתר Esther H853 את   H1697 דברי the words H4782 מרדכי׃ of Mordecai.

  10 H559 ותאמר spoke H635 אסתר Again Esther H2047 להתך unto Hatach, H6680 ותצוהו and gave him commandment H413 אל unto H4782 מרדכי׃ Mordecai;

  11 H3605 כל All H5650 עבדי servants, H4428 המלך the king's H5971 ועם and the people H4082 מדינות provinces, H4428 המלך of the king's H3045 ידעים do know, H834 אשׁר that H3605 כל whosoever, H376 אישׁ man H802 ואשׁה or woman, H834 אשׁר whosoever, H935 יבוא shall come H413 אל unto H4428 המלך the king H413 אל into H2691 החצר court, H6442 הפנימית the inner H834 אשׁר whether H3808 לא is not H7121 יקרא called, H259 אחת one H1881 דתו law H4191 להמית of his to put to death, H905 לבד except H834 מאשׁר who H3447 יושׁיט shall hold out H4428 לו המלך the king H853 את   H8275 שׁרביט scepter, H2091 הזהב the golden H2421 וחיה that he may live: H589 ואני but I H3808 לא have not H7121 נקראתי been called H935 לבוא to come in H413 אל unto H4428 המלך the king H2088 זה these H7970 שׁלושׁים thirty H3117 יום׃ days.

  12 H5046 ויגידו And they told H4782 למרדכי to Mordecai H853 את   H1697 דברי words. H635 אסתר׃ Esther's

  13 H559 ויאמר commanded H4782 מרדכי Then Mordecai H7725 להשׁיב to answer H413 אל to answer H635 אסתר Esther, H408 אל not H1819 תדמי Think H5315 בנפשׁך with thyself H4422 להמלט that thou shalt escape H1004 בית house, H4428 המלך in the king's H3605 מכל more than all H3064 היהודים׃ the Jews.

  14 H3588 כי For H518 אם if H2790 החרשׁ thou altogether holdest thy peace H2790 תחרישׁי thou altogether holdest thy peace H6256 בעת time, H2063 הזאת at this H7305 רוח shall there enlargement H2020 והצלה and deliverance H5975 יעמוד arise H3064 ליהודים to the Jews H4725 ממקום   H312 אחר   H859 ואת but thou H1004 ובית house H1 אביך and thy father's H6 תאבדו shall be destroyed: H4310 ומי and who H3045 יודע knoweth H518 אם whether H6256 לעת for a time H2063 כזאת as this? H5060 הגעת thou art come H4438 למלכות׃ to the kingdom

  15 H559 ותאמר bade H635 אסתר Then Esther H7725 להשׁיב return H413 אל return H4782 מרדכי׃ Mordecai

  16 H1980 לך Go, H3664 כנוס gather together H853 את   H3605 כל all H3064 היהודים the Jews H4672 הנמצאים that are present H7800 בשׁושׁן in Shushan, H6684 וצומו and fast H5921 עלי ye for H408 ואל me, and neither H398 תאכלו eat H408 ואל nor H8354 תשׁתו drink H7969 שׁלשׁת three H3117 ימים days, H3915 לילה night H3117 ויום or day: H1571 גם also H589 אני I H5291 ונערתי and my maidens H6684 אצום will fast H3651 כן likewise; H3651 ובכן and so H935 אבוא will I go in H413 אל unto H4428 המלך the king, H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא not H1881 כדת according to the law: H834 וכאשׁר and if H6 אבדתי I perish, H6 אבדתי׃ I perish.

  17 H5674 ויעבר went his way, H4782 מרדכי So Mordecai H6213 ויעשׂ and did H3605 ככל according to all H834 אשׁר that H6680 צותה had commanded H5921 עליו him. H635 אסתר׃ Esther
