Deuteronomy 9:7-21 זכר Remember, אל not, תשׁכח forget את אשׁר how הקצפת thou provokedst את יהוה the LORD אלהיך thy God במדבר to wrath in the wilderness: למן from היום the day אשׁר that יצאת thou didst depart מארץ out of the land מצרים of Egypt, עד until באכם ye came עד unto המקום place, הזה this ממרים rebellious הייתם ye have been עם against יהוה׃ the LORD.

7 H2142 זכר Remember, H408 אל not, H7911 תשׁכח forget H853 את H834 אשׁר how H7107 הקצפת thou provokedst H853 את H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H4057 במדבר to wrath in the wilderness: H4480 למן from H3117 היום the day H834 אשׁר that H3318 יצאת thou didst depart H776 מארץ out of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H5704 עד until H935 באכם ye came H5704 עד unto H4725 המקום place, H2088 הזה this H4784 ממרים rebellious H1961 הייתם ye have been H5973 עם against H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

8 H2722 ובחרב Also in Horeb H7107 הקצפתם ye provoked H853 את H3068 יהוה the LORD H599 ויתאנף was angry H3068 יהוה to wrath, so that the LORD H8045 בכם להשׁמיד with you to have destroyed H853 אתכם׃

9 H5927 בעלתי When I was gone up H2022 ההרה into the mount H3947 לקחת to receive H3871 לוחת the tables H68 האבנים of stone, H3871 לוחת the tables H1285 הברית of the covenant H834 אשׁר which H3772 כרת made H3068 יהוה the LORD H5973 עמכם with H3427 ואשׁב you, then I abode H2022 בהר in the mount H705 ארבעים forty H3117 יום days H705 וארבעים and forty H3915 לילה nights, H3899 לחם bread H3808 לא I neither H398 אכלתי did eat H4325 ומים water: H3808 לא nor H8354 שׁתיתי׃ drink

10 H5414 ויתן delivered H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אלי unto H853 את H8147 שׁני me two H3871 לוחת tables H68 האבנים of stone H3789 כתבים written H676 באצבע with the finger H430 אלהים of God; H5921 ועליהם and on H3605 ככל them according to all H1697 הדברים the words, H834 אשׁר which H1696 דבר spoke H3068 יהוה the LORD H5973 עמכם with H2022 בהר you in the mount H8432 מתוך out of the midst H784 האשׁ of the fire H3117 ביום in the day H6951 הקהל׃ of the assembly.

11 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H7093 מקץ at the end H705 ארבעים of forty H3117 יום days H705 וארבעים and forty H3915 לילה nights, H5414 נתן gave H3068 יהוה the LORD H413 אלי gave H853 את H8147 שׁני me the two H3871 לחת tables H68 האבנים of stone, H3871 לחות the tables H1285 הברית׃ of the covenant.

12 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אלי unto H6965 קום me, Arise, H3381 רד get thee down H4118 מהר quickly H2088 מזה from hence; H3588 כי for H7843 שׁחת have corrupted H5971 עמך thy people H834 אשׁר which H3318 הוצאת thou hast brought forth H4714 ממצרים H5493 סרו turned aside H4118 מהר they are quickly H4480 מן from hence; H1870 הדרך the way H834 אשׁר which H6680 צויתם I commanded H6213 עשׂו them; they have made H4541 להם מסכה׃ them a molten image.

13 H559 ויאמר spoke H3068 יהוה Furthermore the LORD H413 אלי unto H559 לאמר me, saying, H7200 ראיתי I have seen H853 את H5971 העם people, H2088 הזה this H2009 והנה and, behold, H5971 עם people: H7186 קשׁה a stiffnecked H6203 ערף a stiffnecked H1931 הוא׃ it

14 H7503 הרף H4480 ממני from under H8045 ואשׁמידם that I may destroy H4229 ואמחה them, and blot out H853 את H8034 שׁמם their name H8478 מתחת from under H8064 השׁמים heaven: H6213 ואעשׂה and I will make H854 אותך H1471 לגוי of thee a nation H6099 עצום mightier H7227 ורב and greater H4480 ממנו׃ than

15 H6437 ואפן So I turned H3381 וארד and came down H4480 מן from H2022 ההר the mount, H2022 וההר and the mount H1197 בער burned H784 באשׁ with fire: H8147 ושׁני and the two H3871 לוחת tables H1285 הברית of the covenant H5921 על in H8147 שׁתי my two H3027 ידי׃ hands.

16 H7200 וארא And I looked, H2009 והנה and, behold, H2398 חטאתם ye had sinned H3068 ליהוה against the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God, H6213 עשׂיתם had made H5695 לכם עגל calf: H4541 מסכה you a molten H5493 סרתם ye had turned aside H4118 מהר quickly H4480 מן out of H1870 הדרך the way H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוה had commanded H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 אתכם׃

17 H8610 ואתפשׂ And I took H8147 בשׁני the two H3871 הלחת tables, H7993 ואשׁלכם and cast H5921 מעל them out of H8147 שׁתי my two H3027 ידי hands, H7665 ואשׁברם and broke H5869 לעיניכם׃ them before your eyes.

18 H5307 ואתנפל And I fell down H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה the LORD, H7223 כראשׁנה as at the first, H705 ארבעים forty H3117 יום days H705 וארבעים and forty H3915 לילה nights: H3899 לחם bread, H3808 לא I did neither H398 אכלתי eat H4325 ומים water, H3808 לא nor H8354 שׁתיתי drink H5921 על because of H3605 כל all H2403 חטאתכם your sins H834 אשׁר which H2398 חטאתם ye sinned, H6213 לעשׂות in doing H7451 הרע wickedly H5869 בעיני in the sight H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H3707 להכעיסו׃ to provoke him to anger.

19 H3588 כי For H3025 יגרתי I was afraid H6440 מפני of H639 האף the anger H2534 והחמה and hot displeasure, H834 אשׁר wherewith H7107 קצף was wroth H3068 יהוה the LORD H5921 עליכם against H8045 להשׁמיד you to destroy H853 אתכם H8085 וישׁמע hearkened H3068 יהוה you. But the LORD H413 אלי unto H1571 גם also. H6471 בפעם time H1931 ההוא׃ me at that

20 H175 ובאהרן with Aaron H599 התאנף was very angry H3068 יהוה And the LORD H3966 מאד was very angry H8045 להשׁמידו to have destroyed H6419 ואתפלל him: and I prayed H1571 גם also H1157 בעד for H175 אהרן Aaron H6256 בעת time. H1931 ההוא׃ the same

21 H853 ואת H2403 חטאתכם your sin, H834 אשׁר which H6213 עשׂיתם ye had made, H853 את H5695 העגל the calf H3947 לקחתי And I took H8313 ואשׂרף and burnt H853 אתו H784 באשׁ it with fire, H3807 ואכת and stamped H853 אתו H2912 טחון it, ground H3190 היטב very small, H5704 עד until H834 אשׁר it H1851 דק H6083 לעפר as dust: H7993 ואשׁלך and I cast H853 את H6083 עפרו the dust H413 אל thereof into H5158 הנחל the brook H3381 הירד that descended H4480 מן out of H2022 ההר׃ the mount.
