Deuteronomy 2:24-37 קומו Rise ye up, סעו take your journey, ועברו and pass over את נחל the river ארנן Arnon: ראה behold, נתתי I have given בידך into thine hand את סיחן Sihon מלך king חשׁבון of Heshbon, האמרי the Amorite, ואת ארצו and his land: החל begin רשׁ to possess והתגר and contend בו מלחמה׃ with him in battle.

24 H6965 קומו Rise ye up, H5265 סעו take your journey, H5674 ועברו and pass over H853 את H5158 נחל the river H769 ארנן Arnon: H7200 ראה behold, H5414 נתתי I have given H3027 בידך into thine hand H853 את H5511 סיחן Sihon H4428 מלך king H2809 חשׁבון of Heshbon, H567 האמרי the Amorite, H853 ואת H776 ארצו and his land: H2490 החל begin H3423 רשׁ to possess H1624 והתגר and contend H4421 בו מלחמה׃ with him in battle.

25 H3117 היום day H2088 הזה This H2490 אחל will I begin H5414 תת to put H6343 פחדך the dread H3374 ויראתך of thee and the fear H5921 על of thee upon H6440 פני because H5971 העמים the nations H8478 תחת under H3605 כל the whole H8064 השׁמים heaven, H834 אשׁר who H8085 ישׁמעון shall hear H8088 שׁמעך report H7264 ורגזו of thee, and shall tremble, H2342 וחלו and be in anguish H6440 מפניך׃

26 H7971 ואשׁלח And I sent H4397 מלאכים messengers H4057 ממדבר out of the wilderness H6932 קדמות of Kedemoth H413 אל unto H5511 סיחון Sihon H4428 מלך king H2809 חשׁבון of Heshbon H1697 דברי with words H7965 שׁלום of peace, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

27 H5674 אעברה Let me pass H776 בארצך through thy land: H1870 בדרך along by the highway, H1870 בדרך along by the highway, H1980 אלך I will go H3808 לא I will neither H5493 אסור turn H3225 ימין unto the right hand H8040 ושׂמאול׃ nor to the left.

28 H400 אכל me meat H3701 בכסף for money, H7666 תשׁברני Thou shalt sell H398 ואכלתי that I may eat; H4325 ומים me water H3701 בכסף for money, H5414 תתן and give H8354 לי ושׁתיתי that I may drink: H7535 רק only H5674 אעברה I will pass through H7272 ברגלי׃ on my feet;

29 H834 כאשׁר (As H6213 עשׂו did H1121 לי בני the children H6215 עשׂו of Esau H3427 הישׁבים which dwell H8165 בשׂעיר in Seir, H4125 והמואבים and the Moabites H3427 הישׁבים which dwell H6144 בער in Ar, H5704 עד H834 אשׁר which H5674 אעבר I shall pass over H853 את H3383 הירדן Jordan H413 אל into H776 הארץ the land H834 אשׁר H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H5414 נתן׃ giveth

30 H3808 ולא not H14 אבה would H5511 סיחן But Sihon H4428 מלך king H2809 חשׁבון of Heshbon H5674 העברנו let us pass H3588 בו כי by him: for H7185 הקשׁה hardened H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H853 את H7307 רוחו his spirit, H553 ואמץ H853 את H3824 לבבו H4616 למען that H5414 תתו he might deliver H3027 בידך him into thy hand, H3117 כיום day. H2088 הזה׃ as this

31 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אלי unto H7200 ראה me, Behold, H2490 החלתי I have begun H5414 תת to give H6440 לפניך before H853 את H5511 סיחן Sihon H853 ואת H776 ארצו and his land H2490 החל thee: begin H3423 רשׁ to possess, H3423 לרשׁת that thou mayest inherit H853 את H776 ארצו׃ his land.

32 H3318 ויצא came out H5511 סיחן Then Sihon H7125 לקראתנו against H1931 הוא us, he H3605 וכל and all H5971 עמו his people, H4421 למלחמה to fight H3096 יהצה׃ at Jahaz.

33 H5414 ויתנהו delivered H3068 יהוה And the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H6440 לפנינו him before H5221 ונך us; and we smote H853 אתו H853 ואת H1121 בנו him, and his sons, H853 ואת H3605 כל and all H5971 עמו׃ his people.

34 H3920 ונלכד And we took H853 את H3605 כל all H5892 עריו his cities H6256 בעת time, H1931 ההוא at that H2763 ונחרם and utterly destroyed H853 את H3605 כל of every H5892 עיר city, H4962 מתם the men, H802 והנשׁים and the women, H2945 והטף and the little ones, H3808 לא none H7604 השׁארנו we left H8300 שׂריד׃ to remain:

35 H7535 רק Only H929 הבהמה the cattle H962 בזזנו we took for a prey H7998 לנו ושׁלל unto ourselves, and the spoil H5892 הערים of the cities H834 אשׁר which H3920 לכדנו׃ we took.

36 H6177 מערער Aroer, H834 אשׁר which H5921 על by H8193 שׂפת the brink H5158 נחל of the river H769 ארנן of Arnon, H5892 והעיר and the city H834 אשׁר that H5158 בנחל by the river, H5704 ועד even unto H1568 הגלעד Gilead, H3808 לא not H1961 היתה there was H7151 קריה one city H834 אשׁר H7682 שׂגבה too strong H4480 ממנו From H853 את H3605 הכל all H5414 נתן delivered H3068 יהוה us: the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H6440 לפנינו׃ unto

37 H7535 רק Only H413 אל unto H776 ארץ the land H1121 בני of the children H5983 עמון of Ammon H3808 לא not, H7126 קרבת thou camest H3605 כל unto any H3027 יד place H5158 נחל of the river H2999 יבק Jabbok, H5892 וערי nor unto the cities H2022 ההר in the mountains, H3605 וכל nor unto whatsoever H834 אשׁר H6680 צוה forbade H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו׃ our God
