2 Samuel 7 ויהי And it came to pass, כי when ישׁב sat המלך the king בביתו in his house, ויהוה and the LORD הניח had given him rest לו מסביב round about מכל from all איביו׃ his enemies;

1 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H3588 כי when H3427 ישׁב sat H4428 המלך the king H1004 בביתו in his house, H3068 ויהוה and the LORD H5117 הניח had given him rest H5439 לו מסביב round about H3605 מכל from all H341 איביו׃ his enemies;

2 H559 ויאמר said H4428 המלך That the king H413 אל unto H5416 נתן Nathan H5030 הנביא the prophet, H7200 ראה See H4994 נא now, H595 אנכי I H3427 יושׁב dwell H1004 בבית in a house H730 ארזים of cedar, H727 וארון but the ark H430 האלהים of God H3427 ישׁב dwelleth H8432 בתוך within H3407 היריעה׃ curtains.

3 H559 ויאמר said H5416 נתן And Nathan H413 אל to H4428 המלך the king, H3605 כל all H834 אשׁר that H3824 בלבבך in thine heart; H1980 לך Go, H6213 עשׂה do H3588 כי for H3068 יהוה the LORD H5973 עמך׃ with

4 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H3915 בלילה night, H1931 ההוא that H1961 ויהי came H1697 דבר that the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD H413 אל unto H5416 נתן Nathan, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

5 H1980 לך Go H559 ואמרת and tell H413 אל and tell H5650 עבדי my servant H413 אל H1732 דוד David, H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H859 האתה Shalt thou H1129 תבנה build H1004 לי בית me a house H3427 לשׁבתי׃ for me to dwell

6 H3588 כי Whereas H3808 לא I have not H3427 ישׁבתי dwelt H1004 בבית in house H3117 למיום since the time H5927 העלתי that I brought up H853 את H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H4714 ממצרים H5704 ועד even to H3117 היום day, H2088 הזה this H1961 ואהיה but have H1980 מתהלך walked H168 באהל in a tent H4908 ובמשׁכן׃ and in a tabernacle.

7 H3605 בכל In all H834 אשׁר wherein H1980 התהלכתי I have walked H3605 בכל with all H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H1697 הדבר I a word H1696 דברתי spoke H854 את with H259 אחד any H7626 שׁבטי of the tribes H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H834 אשׁר whom H6680 צויתי I commanded H7462 לרעות to feed H853 את H5971 עמי my people H853 את H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H559 לאמר saying, H4100 למה Why H3808 לא ye not H1129 בניתם build H1004 לי בית me a house H730 ארזים׃ of cedar?

8 H6258 ועתה Now H3541 כה therefore H559 תאמר so shalt thou say H5650 לעבדי unto my servant H1732 לדוד David, H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts, H589 אני I H3947 לקחתיך took H4480 מן thee from H5116 הנוה the sheepcote, H310 מאחר from following H6629 הצאן the sheep, H1961 להיות to be H5057 נגיד ruler H5921 על over H5971 עמי my people, H5921 על over H3478 ישׂראל׃ Israel:

9 H1961 ואהיה And I was H5973 עמך with H3605 בכל thee whithersoever H834 אשׁר thee whithersoever H1980 הלכת thou wentest, H3772 ואכרתה and have cut off H853 את H3605 כל all H341 איביך thine enemies H6440 מפניך out of thy sight, H6213 ועשׂתי and have made H8034 לך שׁם name, H1419 גדול thee a great H8034 כשׁם like unto the name H1419 הגדלים of the great H834 אשׁר that H776 בארץ׃ in the earth.

10 H7760 ושׂמתי Moreover I will appoint H4725 מקום a place H5971 לעמי for my people H3478 לישׂראל Israel, H5193 ונטעתיו and will plant H7931 ושׁכן them, that they may dwell H8478 תחתיו in a place H3808 ולא no H7264 ירגז of their own, and move H5750 עוד more; H3808 ולא neither H3254 יסיפו them any more, H1121 בני shall the children H5766 עולה of wickedness H6031 לענותו afflict H834 כאשׁר as H7223 בראשׁונה׃ formerly,

11 H4480 ולמן And as since H3117 היום the time H834 אשׁר that H6680 צויתי I commanded H8199 שׁפטים judges H5921 על over H5971 עמי my people H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H5117 והניחתי and have caused thee to rest H3605 לך מכל from all H341 איביך thine enemies. H5046 והגיד telleth H3068 לך יהוה Also the LORD H3588 כי thee that H1004 בית thee a house. H6213 יעשׂה he will make H3068 לך יהוה׃

12 H3588 כי And when H4390 ימלאו be fulfilled, H3117 ימיך thy days H7901 ושׁכבת and thou shalt sleep H854 את with H1 אבתיך thy fathers, H6965 והקימתי I will set up H853 את H2233 זרעך thy seed H310 אחריך after H834 אשׁר thee, which H3318 יצא shall proceed H4578 ממעיך out of thy bowels, H3559 והכינתי and I will establish H853 את H4467 ממלכתו׃ his kingdom.

13 H1931 הוא He H1129 יבנה shall build H1004 בית a house H8034 לשׁמי for my name, H3559 וכננתי and I will establish H853 את H3678 כסא the throne H4467 ממלכתו of his kingdom H5704 עד forever. H5769 עולם׃ forever.

14 H589 אני I H1961 אהיה will be H1 לו לאב his father, H1931 והוא and he H1961 יהיה shall be H1121 לי לבן my son. H834 אשׁר If H5753 בהעותו he commit iniquity, H3198 והכחתיו I will chasten H7626 בשׁבט him with the rod H376 אנשׁים of men, H5061 ובנגעי and with the stripes H1121 בני of the children H120 אדם׃ of men:

15 H2617 וחסדי But my mercy H3808 לא shall not H5493 יסור depart away H4480 ממנו from H834 כאשׁר him, as H5493 הסרתי I took H5973 מעם from H7586 שׁאול Saul, H834 אשׁר whom H5493 הסרתי I put away H6440 מלפניך׃ before

16 H539 ונאמן shall be established H1004 ביתך And thine house H4467 וממלכתך and thy kingdom H5704 עד forever H5769 עולם forever H6440 לפניך before H3678 כסאך thee: thy throne H1961 יהיה shall be H3559 נכון established H5704 עד forever. H5769 עולם׃ forever.

17 H3605 ככל According to all H1697 הדברים words, H428 האלה these H3605 וככל and according to all H2384 החזיון vision, H2088 הזה this H3651 כן so H1696 דבר speak H5416 נתן did Nathan H413 אל unto H1732 דוד׃ David.

18 H935 ויבא Then went H4428 המלך king H1732 דוד David H3427 וישׁב in, and sat H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה H559 ויאמר and he said, H4310 מי Who H595 אנכי I, H136 אדני O Lord H3069 יהוה the LORD, H4310 ומי and what H1004 ביתי my house, H3588 כי that H935 הביאתני thou hast brought H5704 עד me hitherto? H1988 הלם׃ me hitherto?

19 H6994 ותקטן a small H5750 עוד was yet H2063 זאת And this H5869 בעיניך thing in thy sight, H136 אדני O Lord H3068 יהוה H1696 ותדבר but thou hast spoken H1571 גם also H413 אל of H1004 בית house H5650 עבדך thy servant's H7350 למרחוק for a great while to come. H2063 וזאת And this H8452 תורת the manner H120 האדם of man, H136 אדני O Lord H3068 יהוה׃

20 H4100 ומה And what H3254 יוסיף say H1732 דוד can David H5750 עוד more H1696 לדבר say H413 אליך unto H859 ואתה thee? for thou, H3045 ידעת knowest H853 את H5650 עבדך thy servant. H136 אדני Lord H3069 יהוה׃ GOD,

21 H5668 בעבור H1697 דברך H3820 וכלבך and according to thine own heart, H6213 עשׂית hast thou done H853 את H3605 כל all H1420 הגדולה great things, H2063 הזאת these H3045 להודיע know H853 את H5650 עבדך׃ to make thy servant

22 H5921 על H3651 כן H1431 גדלת thou art great, H136 אדני God: H3069 יהוה H3588 כי for H369 אין none H3644 כמוך like thee, H369 ואין neither H430 אלהים God H2108 זולתך beside H3605 בכל thee, according to all H834 אשׁר that H8085 שׁמענו we have heard H241 באזנינו׃ with our ears.

23 H4310 ומי And what H5971 כעמך like thy people, H3478 כישׂראל like Israel, H1471 גוי nation H259 אחד one H776 בארץ in the earth H834 אשׁר whom H1980 הלכו went H430 אלהים God H6299 לפדות to redeem H5971 לו לעם for a people H7760 ולשׂום to himself, and to make H8034 לו שׁם him a name, H6213 ולעשׂות and to do H1420 לכם הגדולה for you great H3372 ונראות things and terrible, H776 לארצך for thy land, H6440 מפני before H5971 עמך thy people, H834 אשׁר which H6299 פדית thou redeemedst H4714 לך ממצרים H1471 גוים the nations H430 ואלהיו׃ and their gods?

24 H3559 ותכונן For thou hast confirmed H853 לך את H5971 עמך to thyself thy people H3478 ישׂראל Israel H5971 לך לעם a people H5704 עד unto thee forever: H5769 עולם unto thee forever: H859 ואתה and thou, H3068 יהוה LORD, H1961 היית art become H430 להם לאלהים׃ their God.

25 H6258 ועתה And now, H3068 יהוה O LORD H430 אלהים God, H1697 הדבר the word H834 אשׁר that H1696 דברת thou hast spoken H5921 על concerning H5650 עבדך thy servant, H5921 ועל and concerning H1004 ביתו his house, H6965 הקם establish H5704 עד forever, H5769 עולם , forever, H6213 ועשׂה and do H834 כאשׁר as H1696 דברת׃ thou hast said.

26 H1431 ויגדל be magnified H8034 שׁמך And let thy name H5704 עד forever, H5769 עולם forever, H559 לאמר saying, H3068 יהוה The LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts H430 אלהים the God H5921 על over H3478 ישׂראל Israel: H1004 ובית and let the house H5650 עבדך of thy servant H1732 דוד David H1961 יהיה be H3559 נכון established H6440 לפניך׃ before

27 H3588 כי For H859 אתה thou, H3068 יהוה O LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts, H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H1540 גליתה hast revealed H853 את H241 אזן hast revealed H5650 עבדך to thy servant, H559 לאמר saying, H1004 בית thee a house: H1129 אבנה I will build H5921 לך על therefore H3651 כן therefore H4672 מצא found H5650 עבדך hath thy servant H853 את H3820 לבו in his heart H6419 להתפלל to pray H413 אליך unto H853 את H8605 התפלה prayer H2063 הזאת׃ this

28 H6258 ועתה And now, H136 אדני O Lord H3069 יהוה GOD, H859 אתה thou H1931 הוא that H430 האלהים God, H1697 ודבריך and thy words H1961 יהיו be H571 אמת true, H1696 ותדבר and thou hast promised H413 אל unto H5650 עבדך thy servant: H853 את H2896 הטובה goodness H2063 הזאת׃ this

29 H6258 ועתה Therefore now H2974 הואל let it please H1288 וברך thee to bless H853 את H1004 בית the house H5650 עבדך of thy servant, H1961 להיות that it may continue H5769 לעולם forever H6440 לפניך before H3588 כי thee: for H859 אתה thou, H136 אדני O Lord H3069 יהוה GOD, H1696 דברת hast spoken H1293 ומברכתך : and with thy blessing H1288 יברך be blessed H1004 בית let the house H5650 עבדך of thy servant H5769 לעולם׃ forever.
