2 Kings 9:14-26 ויתקשׁר conspired יהוא So Jehu בן the son יהושׁפט of Jehoshaphat בן the son נמשׁי of Nimshi אל against יורם Joram. ויורם (Now Joram היה had שׁמר kept ברמת Ramoth-gilead, גלעד הוא he וכל and all ישׂראל Israel, מפני because חזאל of Hazael מלך king ארם׃ of Syria.

H3141 ויורם (Now Joram H1961 היה had H8104 שׁמר kept H7433 ברמת Ramoth-gilead, H1568 גלעד H1931 הוא he H3605 וכל and all H3478 ישׂראל Israel, H6440 מפני because H2371 חזאל of Hazael H4428 מלך king H758 ארם׃ of Syria.

15 H7725 וישׁב was returned H3088 יהורם Joram H4428 המלך But king H7495 להתרפא to be healed H3157 ביזרעאל in Jezreel H4480 מן of H4347 המכים the wounds H834 אשׁר which H5221 יכהו had given H761 ארמים the Syrians H3898 בהלחמו him, when he fought H854 את with H2371 חזאל Hazael H4428 מלך king H758 ארם of Syria.) H559 ויאמר said, H3058 יהוא And Jehu H518 אם If H3426 ישׁ it be H5315 נפשׁכם your minds, H408 אל let none H3318 יצא go forth H6412 פליט escape H4480 מן out of H5892 העיר the city H1980 ללכת to go H5046 לגיד to tell H3157 ביזרעאל׃ in Jezreel.

16 H7392 וירכב rode in a chariot, H3058 יהוא So Jehu H1980 וילך and went H3157 יזרעאלה to Jezreel; H3588 כי for H3141 יורם Joram H7901 שׁכב lay H8033 שׁמה there. H274 ואחזיה And Ahaziah H4428 מלך king H3063 יהודה of Judah H3381 ירד was come down H7200 לראות to see H853 את H3141 יורם׃ Joram.

17 H6822 והצפה a watchman H5975 עמד And there stood H5921 על on H4026 המגדל the tower H3157 ביזרעאל in Jezreel, H7200 וירא and he spied H853 את H8229 שׁפעת the company H3058 יהוא of Jehu H935 בבאו as he came, H559 ויאמר and said, H8229 שׁפעת a company. H589 אני I H7200 ראה see H559 ויאמר said, H3088 יהורם And Joram H3947 קח Take H7395 רכב a horseman, H7971 ושׁלח and send H7125 לקראתם H559 ויאמר them, and let him say, H7965 השׁלום׃ peace?

18 H1980 וילך So there went H7392 רכב one on horseback H5483 הסוס one on horseback H7125 לקראתו H559 ויאמר him, and said, H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H4428 המלך the king, H7965 השׁלום peace? H559 ויאמר said, H3058 יהוא And Jehu H4100 מה What H7965 לך ולשׁלום hast thou to do with peace? H5437 סב turn H413 אל thee behind H310 אחרי thee behind H5046 ויגד told, H6822 הצפה me. And the watchman H559 לאמר saying, H935 בא came H4397 המלאך The messenger H5704 עד to H1992 הם them, H3808 ולא but he cometh not again. H7725 שׁב׃ but he cometh not again.

19 H7971 וישׁלח Then he sent out H7392 רכב on horseback, H5483 סוס on horseback, H8145 שׁני a second H935 ויבא which came H413 אלהם to H559 ויאמר them, and said, H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H4428 המלך the king, H7965 שׁלום peace? H559 ויאמר answered, H3058 יהוא And Jehu H4100 מה What H7965 לך ולשׁלום hast thou to do with peace? H5437 סב turn H413 אל thee behind H310 אחרי׃ thee behind

20 H5046 ויגד told, H6822 הצפה And the watchman H559 לאמר saying, H935 בא He came H5704 עד even H413 אליהם unto H3808 ולא them, and cometh not again: H7725 שׁב them, and cometh not again: H4491 והמנהג and the driving H4491 כמנהג like the driving H3058 יהוא of Jehu H1121 בן the son H5250 נמשׁי of Nimshi; H3588 כי for H7697 בשׁגעון furiously. H5090 ינהג׃ he driveth

21 H559 ויאמר said, H3088 יהורם And Joram H631 אסר Make ready. H631 ויאסר was made ready. H7393 רכבו And his chariot H3318 ויצא went out, H3088 יהורם And Joram H4428 מלך king H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H274 ואחזיהו and Ahaziah H4428 מלך king H3063 יהודה of Judah H376 אישׁ each H7393 ברכבו in his chariot, H3318 ויצאו and they went out H7125 לקראת H3058 יהוא Jehu, H4672 וימצאהו and met H2513 בחלקת him in the portion H5022 נבות of Naboth H3158 היזרעאלי׃ the Jezreelite.

22 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H7200 כראות saw H3088 יהורם when Joram H853 את H3058 יהוא Jehu, H559 ויאמר that he said, H7965 השׁלום peace, H3058 יהוא Jehu? H559 ויאמר And he answered, H4100 מה What H7965 השׁלום peace, H5704 עד so long as H2183 זנוני the whoredoms H348 איזבל Jezebel H517 אמך of thy mother H3785 וכשׁפיה and her witchcrafts H7227 הרבים׃ many?

23 H2015 ויהפך turned H3088 יהורם And Joram H3027 ידיו his hands, H5127 וינס and fled, H559 ויאמר and said H413 אל to H274 אחזיהו Ahaziah, H4820 מרמה treachery, H274 אחזיה׃ O Ahaziah.

24 H3058 ויהוא And Jehu H4390 מלא with his full H3027 ידו strength, H7198 בקשׁת drew a bow H5221 ויך and smote H853 את H3088 יהורם Jehoram H996 בין between H2220 זרעיו his arms, H3318 ויצא went out H2678 החצי and the arrow H3820 מלבו at his heart, H3766 ויכרע and he sunk down H7393 ברכבו׃ in his chariot.

25 H559 ויאמר Then said H413 אל to H920 בדקר Bidkar H7991 שׁלשׁה his captain, H5375 שׂא Take up, H7993 השׁלכהו cast H2513 בחלקת him in the portion H7704 שׂדה of the field H5022 נבות of Naboth H3158 היזרעאלי the Jezreelite: H3588 כי for H2142 זכר remember H589 אני how that, when I H859 ואתה and thou H853 את H7392 רכבים rode H6776 צמדים together H310 אחרי after H256 אחאב Ahab H1 אביו his father, H3069 ויהוה H5375 נשׂא laid H5921 עליו upon H853 את H4853 המשׂא burden H2088 הזה׃ this

26 H518 אם H3808 לא H853 את H1818 דמי the blood H5022 נבות of Naboth, H853 ואת H1818 דמי and the blood H1121 בניו of his sons, H7200 ראיתי I have seen H570 אמשׁ yesterday H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD; H7999 ושׁלמתי and I will requite H2513 לך בחלקה plat, H2063 הזאת thee in this H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD. H6258 ועתה Now H5375 שׂא therefore take H7993 השׁלכהו cast H2513 בחלקה him into the plat H1697 כדבר according to the word H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
