2 Kings 6:28-33 ויאמר said לה המלך And the king מה unto her, What לך ותאמר aileth thee? And she answered, האשׁה woman הזאת This אמרה said אלי unto תני me, Give את בנך thy son, ונאכלנו that we may eat היום him today, ואת בני my son נאכל and we will eat מחר׃ tomorrow.

29 H1310 ונבשׁל So we boiled H853 את H1121 בני my son, H398 ונאכלהו and did eat H559 ואמר him: and I said H413 אליה unto H3117 ביום day, H312 האחר her on the next H5414 תני Give H853 את H1121 בנך thy son, H398 ונאכלנו that we may eat H2244 ותחבא him: and she hath hid H853 את H1121 בנה׃ her son.

30 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H8085 כשׁמע heard H4428 המלך when the king H853 את H1697 דברי the words H802 האשׁה of the woman, H7167 ויקרע that he rent H853 את H899 בגדיו his clothes; H1931 והוא and he H5674 עבר passed by H5921 על upon H2346 החמה the wall, H7200 וירא looked, H5971 העם and the people H2009 והנה and, behold, H8242 השׂק sackcloth H5921 על upon H1320 בשׂרו his flesh. H1004 מבית׃ within

31 H559 ויאמר Then he said, H3541 כה so H6213 יעשׂה do H430 לי אלהים God H3541 וכה also H3254 יוסף and more H518 אם to me, if H5975 יעמד shall stand H7218 ראשׁ the head H477 אלישׁע of Elisha H1121 בן the son H8202 שׁפט of Shaphat H5921 עליו on H3117 היום׃ him this day.

32 H477 ואלישׁע But Elisha H3427 ישׁב sat H1004 בביתו in his house, H2205 והזקנים and the elders H3427 ישׁבים sat H854 אתו with H7971 וישׁלח him; and sent H376 אישׁ a man H6440 מלפניו from before H2962 בטרם him: but ere H935 יבא came H4397 המלאך the messenger H413 אליו to H1931 והוא him, he H559 אמר said H413 אל to H2205 הזקנים the elders, H7200 הראיתם See H3588 כי ye how H7971 שׁלח hath sent H1121 בן son H7523 המרצח of a murderer H2088 הזה this H5493 להסיר to take away H853 את H7218 ראשׁי mine head? H7200 ראו look, H935 כבא cometh, H4397 המלאך when the messenger H5462 סגרו shut H1817 הדלת the door, H3905 ולחצתם H853 אתו H1817 בדלת at the door: H3808 הלוא not H6963 קול the sound H7272 רגלי feet H113 אדניו of his master's H310 אחריו׃ behind

33 H5750 עודנו And while he yet H1696 מדבר talked H5973 עמם with H2009 והנה them, behold, H4397 המלאך the messenger H3381 ירד came down H413 אליו unto H559 ויאמר him: and he said, H2009 הנה Behold, H2063 זאת this H7451 הרעה evil H853 מאת H3068 יהוה the LORD; H4100 מה what H3176 אוחיל should I wait H3068 ליהוה for the LORD H5750 עוד׃ any longer?
