John 6:48-58

Haweis(i) 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and they are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that any person may eat of it, and never die. 51 I am the bread that giveth life, which came down from heaven: if any person eat of this bread, he shall live to eternity; and the bread indeed which I shall give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 52 Then the Jews contended with each other, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53 Jesus therefore said to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in yourselves. 54 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath life eternal: and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh truly is meat, and my blood truly is drink. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. 57 As the life-giving Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same shall live by me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven, not as the manna your fathers did eat, and died: he that eateth this bread shall live to eternity.
