THE BURDEN OF YAH VEH
The burden of the word of Yah Veh against the land of Hadrach and Dammeseq its place of rest: when the eyes of humanity and all the scions of Yisra El are toward Yah Veh; 2 and Hamath borders thereby; and Sor and Sidon enwisen mightily: 3 and Sor builds herself a rampart; and heaps silver as the dust and ore as the mire of the outways. 4 Behold, Adonay casts her out and smites her valiant in the sea; and fire consumes her: 5 Ashkelon sees and awes; Azzah also sees and writhes mightily; and Eqron shames for her expectation; and the sovereign destructs from Azzah, and Ashkelon settles not: 6 and a mongrel settles in Ashdod, and I cut off the pomp of the Peleshethiym: 7 and I turn aside his blood from his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: and he who survives, even he is for our Elohim; and he becomes as a chiliarch in Yah Hudah, and Eqron as a Yebusiy. 8 And I encamp around my house because of those stationed - because of him who passes by, and because of him who returns: and no exactor passes through them any more: for now I see with my eyes. 9
THE SAVING SOVEREIGN
Twirl mightily, O daughter of Siyon! Shout, O daughter of Yeru Shalem! Behold, your Sovereign comes to you: he is just and saving; humble - and riding on a burro and on a colt the son of a she burro. 10 And I cut off the chariot from Ephrayim and the horse from Yeru Shalem and cut off the bow of war: and he words shalom to the goyim: with his dominion from sea to sea and from the river to the finalities of the earth. 11 And you, by the blood of your covenant I sent your prisoners from the well without water. 12 Turn to the fortress, you prisoners of hope: even today I tell you that I return double to you; 13 when I bend Yah Hudah for me, fill the bow with Ephrayim, and waken your sons, O Siyon, against your sons, O Yavan, and set you as the sword of a mighty. 14 And Yah Veh is seen over them, and his arrow comes as the lightning: and Adonay Yah Veh blasts the shophar and comes with storms of the south: 15 Yah Veh Sabaoth defends them; and they consume, and subdue with sling stones; and they drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they fill up as sprinklers and as the corners of the sacrifice altar. 16 And Yah Veh their Elohim saves them in that day as the flock of his people: for they raise the stones of separatism as an ensign on his soil. 17 How great his goodness and how great his beauty! crop flourishes the youths; and juice the virgins.
