And Boaz ascends to the portal and settles there; and behold, the redeemer of whom Boaz worded passes by; to whom he says, Ho, such a one! Turn aside! Settle here! - and he turns aside and settles. 2 And he takes ten men of the elders of the city and says, You settle here. - and they settle. 3 And he says to the redeemer, Noomiy, who returned from the fields of Moab, sold an allotment of field, of our brother Eli Melech; 4 and I say to expose in your ear, saying, Chattel in front of the settlers and in front of the elders of my people - if you redeem, redeem; but if you redeem not, then tell me, so that I know; for there is no one to redeem except you; and I after you. And he says, I redeem. 5 And Boaz says, The day you chattel the field of the hand of Noomiy, you also chattel of Ruth the Moabiyth, the woman of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance. 6 And the redeemer says, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I ruin my own inheritance; redeem my redemption to yourself; for I cannot redeem it. 7 Now at the face of Yisra El concerning redeeming and concerning exchanging to confirm all words was this; a man draws his shoe and gives it to his friend; and this is the witness in Yisra El. 8 And the redeemer says to Boaz, Chattel for yourself. - and he draws off his shoe. 9 And Boaz says to the elders and to all the people, you are witnesses this day, that I chatteled all that of Eli Melech and all that of Kilyon and Machlon, of the hand of Noomiy; 10 and I also chatteled Ruth the Moabiyth the woman of Machlon, to be my woman, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead not be cut off from among his brothers and from the portal of his place; you are witnesses this day. 11 And all the people in the portal, and the elders, say, We are witnesses. Yah Veh give the woman who comes into your house as Rachel and as Leah; which two built the house of Yisra El; and work you to get valuables in Ephrath and call out your name in Beth Lechem; 12 and that your house be as the house of Peres, whom Tamar bare birthed to Yah Hudah, of the seed which Yah Veh gives you of this lass. 13 And Boaz takes Ruth and she becomes his woman; and he goes in to her and Yah Veh gives her conception and she births a son. 14 And the women say to Noomiy, Blessed - Yah Veh, who has not ceased you this day without a redeemer, to call out his name in Yisra El. 15 And he becomes a restorer of your soul and a sustainer of your grayness; for your daughter in law, who loves you, who is better to you than seven sons, births him. 16 And Noomiy takes the child and places it in her bosom and nurses it. 17 And the women, her fellow tabernaclers, call out, saying, There a son is birthed to Noomiy; and they call his name Obed - he is the father of Yishay, the father of David. 18

And these are the generations of Peres; Peres births Hesron 19 and Hesron births Ram and Ram births Ammi Nadab 20 and Ammi Nadab births Nahshon and Nahshon births Salmah 21 and Salmah births Boaz and Boaz births Obed 22 and Obed births Yishay and Yishay births David.
