THE JUST SPROUT
Ho to the tenders who destroy and scatter the flock of my pasture - an oracle of Yah Veh. 2 So thus says Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El against the tenders who tend my people: You scatter my flock and drive them away and visit them not: behold, I visit the evil of your exploits on you - an oracle of Yah Veh 3 and I gather the survivors of my flock from all lands I drove them; and return them to their habitations of rest; and they bear fruit and abound: 4 and I raise tenders over them to tend them: and they neither awe any more nor dismay nor oversight - an oracle of Yah Veh. 5 Behold, days come, - an oracle of Yah Veh that I raise to David a just Sprout, and a Sovereign reigns and comprehends and works judgment and justness in the earth. 6 In his days Yah Hudah is saved, and Yisra El dwells confidently: and this is his name whereby he is called, Yah Veh Sidqenuw. 7 So behold, days come, - an oracle of Yah Veh that they no more say, Yah Veh lives, who ascended the sons of Yisra El from the land of Misrayim; 8 but, Yah Veh lives, who ascended and who led the seed of the house of Yisra El from the north land, and from all lands I drove them: and they settle in their own soil. 9 Concerning the prophets: My heart within me is broken; all my bones flutter; I am as an intoxicated man and as the mighty overpassed by wine at the face of Yah Veh, and at the face of the words of his holiness. 10 For the land is filled with adulterers; for at the face of oathing, the land mourns; the folds of the wilderness wither and their race is evil; and their might, not right. 11 For both prophet and priest profane; yes, in my house I found their evil - an oracle of Yah Veh. 12 So their way is to them as slippery in the darkness: they are overthrown and fall therein: for I bring evil on them - the year of their visitation - an oracle of Yah Veh. 13 And I see frivolity in the prophets of Shomeron; they prophesy in Baal, and stray my people Yisra El: 14 and I see a horror in the prophets of Yeru Shalem; they adulterize and walk in falsehoods: yes, they strengthen the hands of vilifiers so that no man returns from his evil: they all are to me as Sedom and the settlers as Amorah. 15 So thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth concerning the prophets: Behold, I feed them with wormwood and have them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Yeru Shalem profaneness goes into all the land. 16 Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth: Hearken not to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you: they make you vain: they word a vision of their own heart - not from the mouth of Yah Veh. 17 In saying, they say to them who scorn me, Yah Veh words, Shalom to you! - and they say to every one who walks after the warp of his own heart, Evil comes not on you! 18 - for who stands in the private counsel of Yah Veh and sees and hears his word? Who hearkens to his word, and hears? 19 Behold, a storm of Yah Veh comes in fury - even a whirling storm: whirling on the head of the wicked. 20 The wrath of Yah Veh turns not back until he works and until he raises the intrigue of his heart: in the latter days you discern with discernment. 21 I sent not these prophets, yet they run: I worded not to them, yet they prophesy. 22 But had they stood in my private counsel and had my people heard my words, then they had turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their exploits. 23 I am an Elohim nearby - an oracle of Yah Veh; and not an Elohim afar off! 24 Hides man himself in coverts that I not see him? - an oracle of Yah Veh. Fill I not the heavens and earth? - an oracle of Yah Veh. 25 I hear what the prophets say - who prophesy falsehoods in my name, saying, I dreamed! I dreamed! 26 Until when is this in the heart of the prophets who prophesy falsehoods? - yes, prophets of the deceit of their own heart; 27 who fabricate to have my people forget my name by the dreams they scribe every man to his friend - as their fathers forgot my name for Baal. 28 The prophet, having a dream, have him scribe a dream; and he, having my word, have him word my word in truth. What is the straw to the grain? - an oracle of Yah Veh. 29 Is not my word thus as a fire? - an oracle of Yah Veh and as a hammer shattering the rock? 30 So behold, I am against the prophets - an oracle of Yah Veh who steal my words, every man from his friend. 31 Behold, I am against the prophets - an oracle of Yah Veh who take their tongues and say, - an oracle! 32 Behold, I am against them who prophesy false dreams - an oracle of Yah Veh and scribe them; and stray my people by their falsehoods and by their frothiness; and I - I neither sent them nor misvahed them: in benefitting, they benefit this people not - an oracle of Yah Veh. 33 And when this people or the prophet or a priest ask you, saying, What is the burden of Yah Veh? Say to them, What burden? I abandoned you - an oracle of Yah Veh. 34 And the prophet and the priest and the people who say, The burden of Yah Veh! I visit upon that man and upon his house. 35 You, say thus, every man to his friend, and every man to his brother, What answers Yah Veh? And what words Yah Veh? 36 And you - remember the burden of Yah Veh no more for the word of every man is his burden; for you perverted the words of the living Elohim - of Yah Veh Sabaoth our Elohim. 37 Thus say to the prophet, What answers Yah Veh? And what words Yah Veh? 38 And since you say, The burden of Yah Veh! - so thus says Yah Veh: Because you say this word, The burden of Yah Veh! - and I sent to you, saying, Say not, The burden of Yah Veh! 39 - so, behold, in forgetting, I forget you; and I abandon you and the city I gave you and your fathers from my face: 40 and I give on you an eternal reproach and an eternal shame which is not forgotten.
