JUDGMENT ON YERU SHALEM AND YAH HUDAH
For, behold, Adonay Yah Veh Sabaoth turns aside from Yeru Shalem and from Yah Hudah the support and the support - the whole support of bread and the whole support of water: 2 the mighty and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the diviner and the aged, 3 the governor of fifty, and the lifted face and the counsellor, and the wise engraver and the discerning orator: 4 and I give lads for governors and freaks reign over them. 5 And the people exact, man upon man; even man upon his friend: the lads abuse against the aged and the base against the honorable. 6 When man apprehends his brother of the house of his father by the clothing, and says, Be our commander; and this stumblingblock is under your hand: 7 in that day he lifts his hand, saying, I am not a binder; and in my house is neither bread nor clothing: set me not a commander of the people. 8 For Yeru Shalem falters and Yah Hudah falls: because of their tongue and their exploitations against Yah Veh - to rebel against the eyes of his honor: 9 their partiality of face answers against them; and they tell their sin as Sedom - they conceal not. Woe to their soul! for they deal themselves evil. 10 You, say to the just, It is for good: for they eat the fruit of their exploitations. 11 Woe to the wicked - evil: for the dealing of his hands works to himself. 12 As for my people, exploiters exact from them and women reign over them. O my people, they who blithe you cause you to stray, and swallow the way of your paths. 13 Yah Veh stations himself to plead and stands to plead the cause of the people. 14 Yah Veh enters into judgment with the elders of his people and the governors: for you burnt the vineyard; the stripping of the humble is in your houses. 15 What mean you, to crush my people? And grind the faces of the humble? - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh Sabaoth. 16 Yah Veh says, Because the daughters of Siyon lift themselves and walk with spread throats and ogling - walking and waddling they go, and tinkling with their feet: 17 Adonay also scrapes the scalp of the daughters of Siyon; and their pudenda, Yah Veh strips naked. 18 In that day, Adonay turns aside their adornments of tinklers, and their nets and their ornaments; 19 the pendants and the bracelets and the veils; 20 the tiaras and the anklets and the bands and the housings of the soul and the amulets; 21 the signets and nostrilrings; 22 the mantles and the mantles and the cloaks and the pockets; 23 the rolls and the wraps and the turbans and the veils: 24 and so be it, that instead of sweet spice, putridity; and instead of a girdle, a noose; and instead of the work of the curler, baldness; and instead of a festive mantle, a girdle of saq - scarring instead of beauty. 25 Your men fall by the sword and your might in the war. 26 And her portals mourn and mourn; and being exonerated, she settles upon the land.
