THE VISION OF YESHA YAH
The vision Yesha Yah the son of Amos saw concerning Yah Hudah and Yeru Shalem in the days of Uzzi Yah, Yah Tham, Ach Az, and Yechizq Yah - sovereigns of Yah Hudah. 2 Hear, O heavens; and hearken, O earth: for Yah Veh words, I nourished and raised sons, and they - they rebelled against me. 3 The ox knows his chatteler and the burro the manger of his master: Yisra El knows not; my people discern not. 4 Ho sinful goyim; a people heavy with perversity; a seed of vilifiers; sons - ruiners: they forsake Yah Veh; they scorn the Holy One of Yisra El; they estrange backward. 5 Why be smitten any more? You increase revolt; the whole head is sick; and the whole heart bleeds: 6 from the sole of the foot to the head there is no integrity therein: - wounds and lashes and dripping wounds - neither squeezed nor bound; nor tenderized with ointment. 7 Your land, a desolation; your cities, burned with fire: your soil, strangers devour in your presence - a desolation overthrown by strangers. 8 And the daughter of Siyon remains as a sukkoth/brush arbor in a vineyard - as a hammock in a cucumber field - as a guarded city. 9 Unless Yah Veh Sabaoth had a very few survivors remain, we had become as Sedom; likened to Amorah. 10 Hear the word of Yah Veh you commanders of Sedom; hearken to the torah of our Elohim you people of Amorah: 11 Why your abundant sacrifices to me? says Yah Veh: I am satiated by the holocausts of rams and the fat of fatlings; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks or of lambs or of he goats. 12 When you come to be seen at my face, who beseeches this at your hand - to trample my courts? 13 Add no more vain offerings; incense is an abhorrence to me; the new moons and shabbaths, the calling of convocations, I cannot; it is mischief: and the private assembly. 14 Your new moons and your seasons my soul hates: they are a burden to me; I weary to bear them. 15 And in spreading your palms, I conceal my eyes from you: yes, your abounding prayers I hear not: your hands are filled with blood. 16 Baptize yourself; purify yourself; turn aside the evil of your exploitations from in front of my eyes: cease to vilify; 17 learn to well-please; seek judgment; blithe the oppressed; judge the orphan; plead for the widow. 18 Come, I beseech, and we reason, says Yah Veh: though your sins be as scarlet, they whiten as snow; though they be reddened like crimson, they be as wool. 19 If you so will and hearken, you eat the good of the land: 20 and if you refuse and rebel, you are consumed with the sword: for the mouth of Yah Veh words. 21 How the trustworthy city becomes a whore! Filled with judgment! Justness stayed overnight therein - now murderers: 22 your silver becomes dross, your potion dilutes with water: 23 your governors revolt - companions of thieves: every one loves bribes and pursues bribes: they neither judge the orphan, nor comes the plea of the widow to them 24 - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh Sabaoth the Almighty of Yisra El. Ho, I sigh over my tribulators and avenge me of my enemies: 25 and I turn my hand upon you; and in purity, refine away your dross, and turn aside all your tin: 26 and I restore your judges as at the first and your counsellors as at the beginning: and afterward call you, The City of Justness; The City Trustworthy. 27 Siyon is redeemed in judgment and her returnees in justness: 28 and the breaking of the rebels and of the sinners is together, and they who forsake Yah Veh are finished off. 29 For they shame because of the mighty oaks you desire, and you blush for the gardens you chose. 30 For you become as an oak whose leaf withers, and as a garden without water: 31 and the powerful become as tuft and his deeds as a spark; and they both burn together, and no one quenches.
