THE FIGURINE OF JEALOUSY
And so be it, in the sixth year, in the sixth, in the fifth of the month, I sit in my house and the elders of Yah Hudah sit at my face and the hand of Adonay Yah Veh falls on me there. 2 Then I see, and behold, a likeness as the visage of fire: from the visage of his loins even downward - fire; and from his loins and upward as the visage of brilliance - as the eye of brilliant copper. Revelation 1:12-16 3 And he spreads the pattern of a hand and takes me by a tassel of my head; and the spirit lifts me between the earth and between the heavens, and in visions of Elohim, brings me to Yeru Shalem to the opening of the inner portal facing northward; to the seat of the figurine of jealousy which provokes to jealousy. 4 And behold, the honor of Elohim of Yisra El is according to the visage I saw in the valley. 5 And he says to me, Son of humanity, lift your eyes, I beseech, the way northward. And I lift my eyes the way northward, and behold, northward at the portal of the sacrifice altar this figurine of jealousy in the entry. 6 He says to me, Son of humanity, see you what they work? - the great abhorrences the house of Yisra El works here to remove afar from my holies? And turn yet again, and see greater abominations. 7 - and he brings me to the portal of the court; and I see, behold one hole in the wall. 8 And he says to me, Son of humanity, dig, I beseech, in the wall! - and I dig in the wall, and behold, one opening. 9 And he says to me, Enter, and see the evil abhorrences they work here. 10 - and I enter and see; and behold, every pattern of creepers and abominable animals and all the idols of the house of Yisra El engraved on the wall all around - all around. 11 And standing there at their face seventy men of the elders of the house of Yisra El, and Yaazan Yah the son of Shaphan stands midst them; every man with his censer in his hand; and a voluminous cloud of incense ascends. 12 And says he to me, Son of humanity, you see what the elders of the house of Yisra El work in the dark - every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, Yah Veh sees us not; Yah Veh forsook the earth. 13 And he says to me, Turn yet again, and see greater abhorrences they work. 14 - and he brings me to the opening of the portal of the house of Yah Veh northward; and behold, women sitting and weeping for Tammuz. 15 And he says to me, See you, O son of humanity? turn yet again and see greater abhorrences than these. 16 And he brings me into the inner court of the house of Yah Veh, and behold, at the portal of the manse of Yah Veh between the porch and the sacrifice altar - about twenty-five men with their backs toward the manse of Yah Veh and their faces eastward; and they prostrate eastward toward the sun. 17 And he says to me, See you, O son of humanity? Is it trifling to the house of Yah Hudah to work the abhorrences they work here? For they fill the land with violence and return to vex me: and behold, they spread the twig to their nostrils. 18 So I also work in fury: neither my eye spares, nor I compassion: and though they call out in my ears with a great voice, yet I hear them not.
