1 and he says to me, Son of humanity, stand on your feet, and I word to you.
2 And he words to me, and the spirit enters into me and stands me on my feet: and I hear him who speaks to me:
3 and he says to me, Son of humanity, I send you to the sons of Yisra El - to a rebelling goyim who rebel against me: they and their fathers rebel against me to this same day:
4 for they, to whom I send you, are hard faced sons, and strong hearted: and say to them, Thus says Adonay Yah Veh:
5 And they, whether they hear, or whether they desist, - for they are a rebellious house, yet know a prophet becomes among them.
6 And you, son of humanity, neither awe them nor awe their words - though thistles and prickles are with you, and you, settle among scorpions: neither awe their words nor dismay at their faces for they are a rebellious house:
7 and you, word my words to them, whether they hear or whether they desist: for they are most rebellious.
8 And you, son of humanity, hear what I say to you; Become not rebellious as that rebellious house: gape your mouth and eat what I give you.
9 And I see, and behold, a hand sent to me; and behold, a roll of a scroll therein;
10 and he spreads it at my face; and it is inscribed on the face and on the back: and inscribed therein are lamentations and meditations and woe.
