Amos 2

JUDGMENT ON YAH HUDAH AND YISRA EL
Thus says Yah Veh: For three rebellions of Moab, and for four, I restore them not; because of burning the bones of the sovereign of Edom into lime: 2 and I send a fire on Moab, to consume the citadels of Qerioth: and Moab dies with an uproar - with shouts and with the voice of the shophar: 3 and I cut off the judge from among them and slaughter all the governors with him, says Yah Veh. 4 Thus says Yah Veh; For three rebellions of Yah Hudah, and for four, I restore them not; because of spurning the torah of Yah Veh, and not guarding his statutes; and their lies stray them - after the which their fathers walked: 5 and I send a fire on Yah Hudah, to consume the citadels of Yeru Shalem. 6 Thus says Yah Veh: For three rebellions of Yisra El, and for four, I restore them not; because of selling the just for silver and the needy for a pair of shoes; 7 who gulp after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and pervert the way of the humble: and a man and his father going in to the lass to profane my holy name: 8 and they spread on clothes laid to pledge beside every sacrifice altar; and drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their elohim. 9 And I - I desolate the Emoriy at their face, whose height is as the height of the cedars as powerful as the oaks; and I desolate his fruit from above and his roots from beneath. 10 And I ascended you from the land of Misrayim; and carried you forty years through the wilderness to possess the land of the Emoriy: 11 and I raised of your sons for prophets and of your youths for Separatists. Is it not even thus, O you sons of Yisra El? - an oracle of Yah Veh. 12 And you have the Separatists drink wine; and misvah the prophets, saying, Prophesy not. 13 Behold, I press you under - press as a wagon full of omers. 14 and the flight destructs from the swift: neither the strong strengthens his force nor the mighty rescues his soul: 15 neither stands he who manipulates the bow; nor rescues he who is swift of foot: nor rescues he his soul who rides the horse: 16 and among the mighty, he who is strong of heart flees away naked in that day - an oracle of Yah Veh.
