2 Samuel 7

ECB(i) 1
THE HOUSE OF YAH VEH
And so be it, the sovereign settles in his house; and Yah Veh gives him rest all around from all his enemies. 2 And the sovereign says to Nathan the prophet, See, I pray you, I settle in a house of cedar, but the ark of Elohim settles within curtains. 3 And Nathan says to the sovereign, Go, work all that is in your heart; for Yah Veh is with you. 4 And so be it, that night, the word of Yah Veh comes to Nathan, saying, 5 Go and say to my servant David, Thus says Yah Veh, You - build me a house to settle in? 6 I settled not in a house from the day I ascended the sons of Yisra El from Misrayim even to this day; and walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. 7 In all wherein I walked with all the sons of Yisra El worded I a word with one of the scions of Yisra El, whom I misvahed to tend my people Yisra El, saying, Why not build me a house of cedar? 8
YAH VEH SABAOTH CUTS A COVENANT WITH DAVID
Now say thus to my servant David, Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth, I took you from the habitation of rest - from after the flock to be eminent over my people - over Yisra El: 9 and I am with you wherever you go; and cut off all your enemies from your face: and work you a great name as the name of the great in the earth: 10 and I set a place for my people Yisra El and plant them to tabernacle in their own place that they neither quiver any more nor that the sons of wickedness add to abase them - as formerly 11 - as from the day I misvahed judges to be over my people Yisra El and rested you from all your enemies: and Yah Veh tells you that he works you a house. 12 And when your days fulfill and you lie down with your fathers, I raise your seed after you who come from your inwards; and I establish his sovereigndom: 13 he builds a house for my name and I establish the throne of his sovereigndom eternally. 14 I become to him, father and he becomes to me, son. If he perverts, I reprove him with the scion of men and with the plagues of the sons of humanity: 15 but my mercy turns not aside from him as I turned it aside from Shaul - whom I turned aside from your face: 16 and your house and your sovereigndom are permanent - eternally at your face: your throne is established eternally. 17 - according to all these words and according to all this vision, Nathan worded to David. 18
A PRAYER OF DAVID
Then sovereign David goes in and settles at the face of Yah Veh and he says, Who am I, O Adonay Yah Veh? What is my house, that you bring me here? 19 And this is yet little in your eyes, O Adonay Yah Veh; and you also word of the house of your servant afar off. And is this the torah of humanity, O Adonay Yah Veh? 20 What adds David to word to you? For you, Adonay Yah Veh, know your servant: 21 for sake of your word and according to your own heart you worked all these greatnesses - so that your servant knows them. 22 Therefore you are great, O Yah Veh Elohim: for there is none like you - no elohim beside you according to all we hear with our ears. 23 And what one goyim in the earth is as your people - as Yisra El, whom Elohim comes to redeem - a people to himself; - to set him a name and to work for you great and awesome for your land at the face of your people whom you redeemed to yourself from Misrayim - from the goyim and their elohim? 24 Yes, you establish your people Yisra El to yourself to become your people eternally: and you, Yah Veh, to become their Elohim. 25 And now, O Yah Veh Elohim, the word you word concerning your servant and concerning his house, raise it eternally and work as you word. 26 And greaten your name eternally, saying, Yah Veh Sabaoth - Elohim over Yisra El: and establish the house of your servant David at your face. 27 For you, O Yah Veh Sabaoth, Elohim of Yisra El, exposed in the ear of your servant, saying, I build you a house: therefore your servant finds in his heart to pray this prayer to you. 28 And now, O Adonay Yah Veh, you are that Elohim and your words are true and you word this goodness to your servant: 29 and now, may you will to bless the house of your servant, to continue eternally at your face: for you, O Adonay Yah Veh, worded: and with your blessing bless the house of your servant eternally.
