Joshua 3 And Joshua rose up early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to the Jordan, he and all the children of Israel; and they lodged there before they passed over.

1 H3091 And Joshua H7925 rose up early H1242 in the morning; H5265 and they removed H7851 from Shittim, H935 and came H3383 to the Jordan, H1121 he and all the children H3478 of Israel; H3885 and they lodged H5674 there before they passed over.

2 H7097 And it came to pass after H7969 three H3117 days, H7860 that the officers H5674 went H7130 through H4264 the midst of the camp;

3 H6680 and they commanded H5971 the people, H559 saying, H7200 When ye see H727 the ark H1285 of the covenant H3068 of Jehovah H430 your God, H3548 and the priests H3881 the Levites H5375 bearing H5265 it, then ye shall remove H4725 from your place, H1980 and go H310 after it.

4 H7350 Yet there shall be a space H505 between you and it, about two thousand H520 cubits H4060 by measure: H7126 come not near H3045 unto it, that ye may know H1870 the way H3212 by which ye must go; H5674 for ye have not passed H1870 this way H8543 heretofore.

5 H3091 And Joshua H559 said H5971 unto the people, H6942 Sanctify H4279 yourselves; for to-morrow H3068 Jehovah H6213 will do H6381 wonders H7130 among you.

10 H3091 And Joshua H559 said, H3045 Hereby ye shall know H2416 that the living H410 God H7130 is among H3423 you, and that he will without fail H3423 drive out H6440 from before H3669 you the Canaanite, H2850 and the Hittite, H2340 and the Hivite, H6522 and the Perizzite, H1622 and the Girgashite, H567 and the Amorite, H2983 and the Jebusite.

11 H727 Behold, the ark H1285 of the covenant H113 of the Lord H776 of all the earth H5674 passeth over H6440 before H3383 you into the Jordan.

12 H3947 Now therefore take H8147 you twelve H376 men H7626 out of the tribes H3478 of Israel, H259 for every H7626 tribe H376 a man.

13 H3709 And it shall come to pass, when the soles H7272 of the feet H3548 of the priests H5375 that bear H727 the ark H3068 of Jehovah, H3068 the Lord H776 of all the earth, H5117 shall rest H4325 in the waters H3383 of the Jordan, H4325 that the waters H3383 of the Jordan H3772 shall be cut off, H4325 even the waters H3381 that come down H4605 from above; H5975 and they shall stand H259 in one H5067 heap.

14 H5971 And it came to pass, when the people H5265 removed H168 from their tents, H5674 to pass over H3383 the Jordan, H3548 the priests H5375 that bare H727 the ark H1285 of the covenant H6440 being before H5971 the people;

16 H4325 that the waters H3381 which came down H4605 from above H5975 stood, H259 and H6965 rose up H259 in one H5067 heap, H3966 a great H7368 way off, H121 at Adam, H5892 the city H6654 that is beside H6891 Zarethan; H3381 and those that went down H3220 toward the sea H6160 of the Arabah, H4417 even the Salt H3220 Sea, H3772 were wholly cut off: H5971 and the people H5674 passed over H3405 right against Jericho.

17 H3548 And the priests H5375 that bare H727 the ark H1285 of the covenant H3068 of Jehovah H5975 stood H3559 firm H2724 on dry ground H8432 in the midst H3383 of the Jordan; H3478 and all Israel H5674 passed over H2724 on dry ground, H1471 until all the nation H5674 were passed H8552 clean H5674 over H3383 the Jordan.
