Isaiah 34:1-17 Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye peoples: let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof; the world, and all things that come forth from it.

2 H3068 For Jehovah H7110 hath indignation H1471 against all the nations, H2534 and wrath H6635 against all their host: H2763 he hath utterly destroyed H5414 them, he hath delivered H2874 them to the slaughter.

3 H2491 Their slain H7993 also shall be cast out, H889 and the stench H6297 of their dead bodies H5927 shall come up; H2022 and the mountains H4549 shall be melted H1818 with their blood.

4 H6635 And all the host H8064 of heaven H4743 shall be dissolved, H8064 and the heavens H1556 shall be rolled together H5612 as a scroll; H6635 and all their host H5034 shall fade away, H5929 as the leaf H5034 fadeth from off H1612 the vine, H5034 and as a fading H8384 leaf from the fig-tree.

5 H2719 For my sword H7301 hath drunk H8064 its fill in heaven: H3381 behold, it shall come down H123 upon Edom, H5971 and upon the people H2764 of my curse, H4941 to judgment.

6 H2719 The sword H3068 of Jehovah H4390 is filled H1818 with blood, H1878 it is made fat H2459 with fatness, H1818 with the blood H3733 of lambs H6260 and goats, H2459 with the fat H3629 of the kidneys H352 of rams; H3068 for Jehovah H2077 hath a sacrifice H1224 in Bozrah, H1419 and a great H2874 slaughter H776 in the land H123 of Edom.

7 H7214 And the wild-oxen H3381 shall come down H6499 with them, and the bullocks H47 with the bulls: H776 and their land H7301 shall be drunken H1818 with blood, H6083 and their dust H1878 made fat H2459 with fatness.

8 H3068 For Jehovah H3117 hath a day H5359 of vengeance, H8141 a year H7966 of recompense H7379 for the cause H6726 of Zion.

9 H5158 And the streams H2015 of Edom shall be turned H2203 into pitch, H6083 and the dust H1614 thereof into brimstone, H776 and the land H1197 thereof shall become burning H2203 pitch.

10 H3518 It shall not be quenched H3915 night H3119 nor day; H6227 the smoke H5927 thereof shall go up H5769 for ever; H1755 from generation H1755 to generation H2717 it shall lie waste; H5674 none shall pass through H5331 it for ever H5331 and ever.

11 H6893 But the pelican H7090 and the porcupine H3423 shall possess H3244 it; and the owl H6158 and the raven H7931 shall dwell H5186 therein: and he will stretch over H6957 it the line H8414 of confusion, H68 and the plummet H922 of emptiness.

12 H7121 They shall call H2715 the nobles H4410 thereof to the kingdom, H8269 but none shall be there; and all its princes H657 shall be nothing.

13 H5518 And thorns H5927 shall come up H759 in its palaces, H7057 nettles H2336 and thistles H4013 in the fortresses H5116 thereof; and it shall be a habitation H8577 of jackals, H2681 a court H1323 for ostriches.

14 H6728 And the wild beasts of the desert H6298 shall meet H338 with the wolves, H8163 and the wild goat H7121 shall cry H7453 to his fellow; H3917 yea, the night-monster H7280 shall settle H4672 there, and shall find H7280 her a place of rest.

15 H7091 There shall the dart-snake H7077 make her nest, H4422 and lay, H1234 and hatch, H1716 and gather H6738 under her shade; H1772 yea, there shall the kites H6908 be gathered, H802 every one H7468 with her mate.

16 H1875 Seek ye out H5612 of the book H3068 of Jehovah, H7121 and read: H259 no one H2007 of these H5737 shall be missing, H802 none H6485 shall want H7468 her mate; H6310 for my mouth, H6680 it hath commanded, H7307 and his Spirit, H6908 it hath gathered them.

17 H5307 And he hath cast H1486 the lot H3027 for them, and his hand H2505 hath divided H6957 it unto them by line: H3423 they shall possess H5704 it for H5769 ever; H1755 from generation H1755 to generation H7931 shall they dwell therein.
