Ezekiel 5 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp sword; as a barber's razor shalt thou take it unto thee, and shalt cause it to pass upon thy head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.

1 And thou, H1121 son of H120 man, H3947 take thee a H2299 sharp H2719 sword; as a H1532 barber's H8593 razor shalt thou H3947 take it unto thee, and shalt cause it to H5674 pass upon thy H7218 head and upon thy H2206 beard: then H3947 take thee H3976 balances to H4948 weigh, and H2505 divide the hair. 2 A third H7992 part shalt thou H1197 burn in the H217 fire in the H8432 midst of the H5892 city, when the H3117 days of the H4692 siege are H4390 fulfilled; and thou shalt H3947 take a third H7992 part, and H5221 smite with the H2719 sword round H5439 about it; and a third H7992 part thou shalt H2219 scatter to the H7307 wind, and I will draw H7324 out a H2719 sword H310 after them. 3 And thou shalt H3947 take thereof a H4592 few in H4557 number, and H6696 bind them in thy H3671 skirts. 4 And of these H3947 again shalt thou take, and H7993 cast them into the H8432 midst of the H784 fire, and H8313 burn them in the H784 fire; therefrom shall a H784 fire come H3318 forth into all the H1004 house of H3478 Israel. 5 Thus H559 saith the H136 Lord H136 Jehovah: This is H3389 Jerusalem; I have H7760 set her in the H8432 midst of the H1471 nations, and H776 countries are round H5439 about her. 6 And she hath H4784 rebelled against mine H4941 ordinances in doing H7564 wickedness more than the H1471 nations, and against my H2708 statutes more than the H776 countries that are round H5439 about her; for they have H3988 rejected mine H4941 ordinances, and as for my H2708 statutes, they have not H1980 walked in them. 7 Therefore thus H559 saith the H136 Lord H3069 Jehovah: Because ye are H1995 turbulent more than the H1471 nations that are round H5439 about you, and have not H1980 walked in my H2708 statutes, neither have H6213 kept mine H4941 ordinances, neither have H6213 done after the H4941 ordinances of the H1471 nations that are round H5439 about you; 8 therefore thus H559 saith the H136 Lord H136 Jehovah: Behold, I, even I, am against thee; and I will H6213 execute H4941 judgments in the H8432 midst of thee in the H5869 sight of the H1471 nations. 9 And I will H6213 do in thee that which I have not H6213 done, and whereunto I will not H6213 do any more the like, H3282 because of all thine H8441 abominations. 10 Therefore the H1 fathers shall H398 eat the H1121 sons in the H8432 midst of thee, and the H1121 sons shall H398 eat their H1 fathers; and I will H6213 execute H8201 judgments on thee; and the whole H7611 remnant of thee will I H2219 scatter unto all the H7307 winds. 11 Wherefore, as I H2416 live, H5002 saith the H136 Lord H136 Jehovah, surely, because thou hast H2930 defiled my H4720 sanctuary with all thy detestable H8251 things, and with all thine H8441 abominations, therefore will I also H1639 diminish thee; neither shall mine H5869 eye H2347 spare, and I also will have no H2550 pity. 12 A third H7992 part of thee shall H4191 die with the H1698 pestilence, and with H7458 famine shall they be H3615 consumed in the H8432 midst of thee; and a third H7992 part shall H5307 fall by the H2719 sword round H5439 about thee; and a third H7992 part I will H2219 scatter unto all the H7307 winds, and will draw H7324 out a H2719 sword H310 after them. 13 Thus shall mine H639 anger be H3615 accomplished, and I will cause my H2534 wrath toward them to H5117 rest, and I shall be H5162 comforted; and they shall H3045 know that I, H3068 Jehovah, have H1696 spoken in my H7068 zeal, when I have H3615 accomplished my H2534 wrath upon them. 14 Moreover I will H5414 make thee a H2723 desolation and a H2781 reproach among the H1471 nations that are round H5439 about thee, in the H5869 sight of all that pass H5674 by. 15 So it shall be a H2781 reproach and a H1422 taunt, an H4148 instruction and an H4923 astonishment, unto the H1471 nations that are round H5439 about thee, when I shall H6213 execute H8201 judgments on thee in H639 anger and in H2534 wrath, and in H2534 wrathful H8433 rebukes; (I, H3068 Jehovah, have H1696 spoken it;) 16 when I shall H7971 send upon them the H7451 evil H2671 arrows of H7458 famine, that are for H4889 destruction, which I will H7971 send to H7843 destroy you: and I will H3254 increase the H7458 famine upon you, and will H7665 break your H4294 staff of H3899 bread; 17 and I will H7971 send upon you H7458 famine and H7451 evil H2416 beasts, and they shall H7921 bereave thee; and H1698 pestilence and H1818 blood shall pass H5674 through thee; and I will H935 bring the H2719 sword upon thee: I, H3068 Jehovah, have H1696 spoken it.
