Deuteronomy 6:1-9 Now this is the commandment, the statutes, and the ordinances, which Jehovah your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it;

1 Now this is the H4687 commandment, the H2706 statutes, and the H4941 ordinances, which H3068 Jehovah your H430 God H6680 commanded to H3925 teach you, that ye might H6213 do them in the H776 land whither ye H5674 go over to H3423 possess it; 2 that thou mightest H3372 fear H3068 Jehovah thy H430 God, to H8104 keep all his H2708 statutes and his H4687 commandments, which I H6680 command thee, thou, and thy H1121 son, and thy H1121 son's H1121 son, all the H3117 days of thy H2416 life; and that thy H3117 days may be H748 prolonged. 3 H8085 Hear therefore, O H3478 Israel, and H8104 observe to H6213 do it; that it may be H3190 well with thee, and that ye may H7235 increase H3966 mightily, as H3068 Jehovah, the H430 God of thy H1 fathers, hath H1696 promised unto thee, in a H776 land H2100 flowing with H2461 milk and H1706 honey. 4 H8085 Hear, O H3478 Israel: H3068 Jehovah our H430 God is H259 one H3068 Jehovah: 5 and thou shalt H157 love H3068 Jehovah thy H430 God with all thy H3824 heart, and with all thy H5315 soul, and with all thy H3966 might. 6 And these H1697 words, which I H6680 command thee this H3117 day, shall be upon thy H3824 heart; 7 and thou shalt teach them H8150 diligently unto thy H1121 children, and shalt H1696 talk of them when thou H3427 sittest in thy H1004 house, and when thou H3212 walkest by the H1870 way, and when thou liest H7901 down, and when thou risest H6965 up. 8 And thou shalt H7194 bind them for a H226 sign upon thy H3027 hand, and they shall be for H2903 frontlets between thine H5869 eyes. 9 And thou shalt H3789 write them upon the H4201 door-posts of thy H1004 house, and upon thy H8179 gates.
