Deuteronomy 5 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and observe to do them.

1 And H4872 Moses H7121 called unto all H3478 Israel, and H559 said unto them, H8085 Hear, O H3478 Israel, the H2706 statutes and the H4941 ordinances which I H1696 speak in your H241 ears this H3117 day, that ye may H3925 learn them, and H8104 observe to H6213 do them. 2 H3068 Jehovah our H430 God H3772 made a H1285 covenant with us in H2722 Horeb. 3 H3068 Jehovah H3772 made not this H1285 covenant with our H1 fathers, but with H587 us, even us, who are all of H587 us here H2416 alive this H3117 day. 4 H3068 Jehovah H1696 spake with you H6440 face to H6440 face in the H2022 mount out of the H8432 midst of the H784 fire, 5 (I H5975 stood between H3068 Jehovah and you at that H6256 time, to H5046 show you the H1697 word of H3068 Jehovah: for ye were H3372 afraid H6440 because of the H784 fire, and went not H5927 up into the H2022 mount;) H559 saying, 6 I am H3068 Jehovah thy H430 God, who brought thee H3318 out of the H776 land of H4714 Egypt, out of the H1004 house of H5650 bondage. 7 Thou shalt have no H312 other H430 gods H6440 before me. 8 Thou shalt not H6213 make unto thee a graven H6459 image, nor any H8544 likeness of anything that is in H8064 heaven H4605 above, or that is in the H776 earth beneath, or that is in the H4325 water under the H776 earth: 9 thou shalt not bow H7812 down thyself unto them, nor H5647 serve them; for I, H3068 Jehovah, thy H430 God, am a H7067 jealous H430 God, H6485 visiting the H5771 iniquity of the H1 fathers upon the H1121 children, and upon the H8029 third and upon the H7256 fourth generation of them that H8130 hate me; 10 and H6213 showing H2617 lovingkindness unto H505 thousands of them that H157 love me and H8104 keep my H4687 commandments. 11 Thou shalt not H5375 take the H8034 name of H3068 Jehovah thy H430 God in H7723 vain: for H3068 Jehovah will not hold him H5352 guiltless that H5375 taketh his H8034 name in H7723 vain. 12 H8104 Observe the H7676 sabbath H3117 day, to H8104 keep it holy, as H3068 Jehovah thy H430 God H6680 commanded thee. 13 H8337 Six H3117 days shalt thou H5647 labor, and H6213 do all thy H4399 work; 14 but the H7637 seventh H3117 day is a H7676 sabbath unto H3068 Jehovah thy H430 God: in it thou shalt not H6213 do any H4399 work, thou, nor thy H1121 son, nor thy H1323 daughter, nor thy H5650 man-servant, nor thy H519 maid-servant, nor thine H7794 ox, nor thine H2543 ass, nor any of thy H929 cattle, nor thy H1616 stranger that is within thy H8179 gates; that thy H5650 man-servant and thy H519 maid-servant may H5117 rest as well as thou. 15 And thou shalt H2142 remember that thou wast a H5650 servant in the H776 land of H4714 Egypt, and H3068 Jehovah thy H430 God H3318 brought thee out thence by a H2389 mighty H3027 hand and by an H5186 outstretched H2220 arm: therefore H3068 Jehovah thy H430 God H6680 commanded thee to H6213 keep the H7676 sabbath H3117 day. 16 H3513 Honor thy H1 father and thy H517 mother, as H3068 Jehovah thy H430 God H6680 commanded thee; that thy H3117 days may be H748 long, and that it may go H3190 well with thee, in the H127 land which H3068 Jehovah thy H430 God H5414 giveth thee. 17 Thou shalt not H7523 kill. 18 Neither shalt thou commit H5003 adultery. 19 Neither shalt thou H1589 steal. 20 Neither shalt thou H6030 bear H7723 false H5707 witness against thy H7453 neighbor. 21 Neither shalt thou H2530 covet thy H7453 neighbor's H802 wife; neither shalt thou H183 desire thy H7453 neighbor's H1004 house, his H7704 field, or his H5650 man-servant, or his H519 maid-servant, his H7794 ox, or his H2543 ass, or anything that is thy H7453 neighbor's. 22 These H1697 words H3068 Jehovah H1696 spake unto all your H6951 assembly in the H2022 mount out of the H8432 midst of the H784 fire, of the H6051 cloud, and of the thick H6205 darkness, with a H1419 great H6963 voice: and he added no H3254 more. And he H3789 wrote them upon H8147 two H3871 tables of H68 stone, and H5414 gave them unto me. 23 And it came to pass, when ye H8085 heard the H6963 voice out of the H8432 midst of the H2822 darkness, while the H2022 mountain was H1197 burning with H784 fire, that ye came H7126 near unto me, even all the H7218 heads of your H7626 tribes, and your H2205 elders; 24 and ye H559 said, Behold, H3068 Jehovah our H430 God hath H7200 showed us his H3519 glory and his H1433 greatness, and we have H8085 heard his H6963 voice out of the H8432 midst of the H784 fire: we have H7200 seen this H3117 day that H430 God doth H1696 speak with H120 man, and he H2425 liveth. 25 Now therefore why should we H4191 die? for this H1419 great H784 fire will H398 consume us: if we H8085 hear the H6963 voice of H3068 Jehovah our H430 God any H3254 more, then we shall H4191 die. 26 For who is there of all H1320 flesh, that hath H8085 heard the H6963 voice of the H2416 living H430 God H1696 speaking out of the H8432 midst of the H784 fire, as we have, and H2421 lived? 27 Go thou H7126 near, and H8085 hear all that H3068 Jehovah our H430 God shall H559 say: and H559 speak thou unto us all that H3068 Jehovah our H430 God shall H1696 speak unto thee; and we will H8085 hear it, and H6213 do it. 28 And H3068 Jehovah H8085 heard the H6963 voice of your H1697 words, when ye H1696 spake unto me; and H3068 Jehovah H1696 said unto me, I have H8085 heard the H6963 voice of the H1697 words of this H5971 people, which they have H1696 spoken unto thee: they have H3190 well said all that they have H1696 spoken. 29 Oh that there were H2088 such H4310 a H3824 heart in H5414 them, that they would H3372 fear me, and H8104 keep all my H4687 commandments H3117 always, that it might be H3190 well with them, and with their H1121 children for H5769 ever! 30 H3212 Go H559 say to them, H7725 Return ye to your H168 tents. 31 But as for thee, H5975 stand thou here by H5978 me, and I will H1696 speak unto thee all the H4687 commandment, and the H2706 statutes, and the H4941 ordinances, which thou shalt H3925 teach them, that they may H6213 do them in the H776 land which I H5414 give them to H3423 possess it. 32 Ye shall H8104 observe to H6213 do therefore as H3068 Jehovah your H430 God hath H6680 commanded you: ye shall not turn H5493 aside to the right H3225 hand or to the H8040 left. 33 Ye shall H3212 walk in all the H1870 way which H3068 Jehovah your H430 God hath H6680 commanded you, that ye may H2421 live, and that it may be H2895 well with you, and that ye may H748 prolong your H3117 days in the H776 land which ye shall H3423 possess.
