Joshua 6 Now Jericho was straightly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.

1 H3405 Now Jericho H5462 was straightly shut H6440 up because H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel: H369 none H3318 went H369 out, and none H935 came in.

2 H3068 And the LORD H559 said H3091 to Joshua, H7200 See, H5414 I have given H3027 into your hand H3405 Jericho, H4428 and the king H1368 thereof, and the mighty H2428 men of valor.

3 H5437 And you shall compass H5892 the city, H3605 all H582 you men H4421 of war, H5362 and go H5362 round H5892 about the city H259 once. H3541 Thus H6213 shall you do H8337 six H3117 days.

4 H7651 And seven H3548 priests H5375 shall bear H6440 before H727 the ark H7651 seven H7782 trumpets H3104 of rams’ H3104 horns: H7637 and the seventh H3117 day H5437 you shall compass H5892 the city H7651 seven H6471 times, H3548 and the priests H8628 shall blow H7782 with the trumpets.

5 H1961 And it shall come H4900 to pass, that when they make a long H3104 blast with the ram’s H7161 horn, H8085 and when you hear H6963 the sound H7782 of the trumpet, H3605 all H5971 the people H7321 shall shout H1419 with a great H8643 shout; H2346 and the wall H5892 of the city H5307 shall fall H8478 down flat, H5971 and the people H5927 shall ascend H376 up every man H5048 straight before him.

6 H3091 And Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun H7121 called H3548 the priests, H559 and said H5375 to them, Take H727 up the ark H1285 of the covenant, H7651 and let seven H3548 priests H5375 bear H7651 seven H7782 trumpets H3104 of rams’ H3104 horns H6440 before H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD.

7 H559 And he said H5971 to the people, H5674 Pass H5437 on, and compass H5892 the city, H2502 and let him that is armed H5674 pass H413 on H6440 before H3068 the ark of the LORD.

8 H1961 And it came H3091 to pass, when Joshua H559 had spoken H5971 to the people, H7651 that the seven H3548 priests H5375 bearing H7651 the seven H7782 trumpets H3104 of rams’ H3104 horns H5674 passed H413 on H6440 before H3068 the LORD, H8628 and blew H7782 with the trumpets: H727 and the ark H1285 of the covenant H3068 of the LORD H1980 followed H310 them.

9 H2502 And the armed H1980 men went H6440 before H3548 the priests H8628 that blew H7782 with the trumpets, H622 and the rear guard H1980 came H310 after H727 the ark, H3548 the priests H1980 going H8628 on, and blowing H7782 with the trumpets.

10 H3091 And Joshua H6680 had commanded H5971 the people, H559 saying, H7321 You shall not shout, H3808 nor H8085 make any noise H6963 with your voice, H3808 neither H1697 shall any word H3318 proceed H6310 out of your mouth, H5704 until H3117 the day H559 I bid H7321 you shout; H7321 then shall you shout.

11 H727 So the ark H3068 of the LORD H5437 compassed H5892 the city, H5362 going H5362 about H259 it once: H935 and they came H4264 into the camp, H3885 and lodged H4264 in the camp.

12 H3091 And Joshua H7925 rose H7925 early H1242 in the morning, H3548 and the priests H5375 took H727 up the ark H3068 of the LORD.

13 H7651 And seven H5375 priests bearing H7651 seven H7782 trumpets H3104 of rams’ H3104 horns H6440 before H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD H1980 went H413 on H1980 continually, H8628 and blew H7782 with the trumpets: H2502 and the armed H1980 men went H6440 before H622 them; but the rear guard H1980 came H310 after H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD, H3548 the priests H1980 going H413 on, H8628 and blowing H7782 with the trumpets.

14 H8145 And the second H3117 day H5437 they compassed H5892 the city H259 once, H7725 and returned H4264 into the camp: H3541 so H6213 they did H8337 six H3117 days.

15 H1961 And it came H7637 to pass on the seventh H3117 day, H7925 that they rose H7925 early H5927 about the dawning H7837 of the day, H5437 and compassed H5892 the city H2088 after the same H4941 manner H7651 seven H6471 times: H7535 only H3117 on that day H5437 they compassed H5892 the city H7651 seven H6471 times.

16 H1961 And it came H7637 to pass at the seventh H6471 time, H3548 when the priests H8628 blew H7782 with the trumpets, H3091 Joshua H559 said H5971 to the people, H7321 Shout; H3068 for the LORD H5414 has given H5892 you the city.

17 H5892 And the city H2764 shall be accursed, H3605 even it, and all H3068 that are therein, to the LORD: H7535 only H7343 Rahab H2181 the harlot H2421 shall live, H3605 she and all H1004 that are with her in the house, H3588 because H2244 she hid H4397 the messengers H7971 that we sent.

18 H8104 And you, in any wise keep H2764 yourselves from the accursed H6435 thing, lest H2763 you make yourselves accursed, H3947 when you take H2764 of the accursed H7760 thing, and make H4264 the camp H3478 of Israel H2764 a curse, H5916 and trouble it.

19 H3605 But all H3701 the silver, H2091 and gold, H3627 and vessels H5178 of brass H1270 and iron, H6944 are consecrated H3068 to the LORD: H935 they shall come H214 into the treasury H3068 of the LORD.

20 H5971 So the people H7321 shouted H3548 when the priests H8628 blew H7782 with the trumpets: H1961 and it came H5971 to pass, when the people H8085 heard H6963 the sound H7782 of the trumpet, H5971 and the people H7321 shouted H1419 with a great H8643 shout, H2346 that the wall H5307 fell H8478 down flat, H5971 so that the people H5927 went H5892 up into the city, H376 every man H5048 straight before H3920 him, and they took H5892 the city.

21 H2763 And they utterly destroyed H3605 all H5892 that was in the city, H376 both man H802 and woman, H5288 young H2205 and old, H7794 and ox, H7716 and sheep, H2543 and ass, H6310 with the edge H2719 of the sword.

22 H3091 But Joshua H559 had said H8147 to the two H582 men H7270 that had spied H776 out the country, H935 Go H2181 into the harlot’s H1004 house, H3318 and bring H8033 out there H802 the woman, H3605 and all H7650 that she has, as you swore to her.

23 H5288 And the young H7270 men that were spies H935 went H3318 in, and brought H7343 out Rahab, H1 and her father, H517 and her mother, H251 and her brothers, H3605 and all H3318 that she had; and they brought H3605 out all H4940 her kindred, H5117 and left H2351 them without H4264 the camp H3478 of Israel.

24 H8313 And they burnt H5892 the city H784 with fire, H3605 and all H7535 that was therein: only H3701 the silver, H2091 and the gold, H3627 and the vessels H5178 of brass H1270 and of iron, H5414 they put H214 into the treasury H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD.

25 H3091 And Joshua H2421 saved H7343 Rahab H2181 the harlot H2421 alive, H1 and her father’s H1004 household, H3605 and all H3427 that she had; and she dwells H3478 in Israel H2088 even to this H3117 day; H3588 because H2244 she hid H4397 the messengers, H834 which H3091 Joshua H7971 sent H7270 to spy H3405 out Jericho.

26 H3091 And Joshua H7650 adjured H6256 them at that time, H559 saying, H779 Cursed H376 be the man H6440 before H3068 the LORD, H6965 that rises H1129 up and builds H2063 this H5892 city H3405 Jericho: H3245 he shall lay the foundation H1060 thereof in his firstborn, H6810 and in his youngest H5324 son shall he set H1817 up the gates of it.

27 H3068 So the LORD H3091 was with Joshua; H8089 and his fame H3605 was noised throughout all H776 the country.
