Esther 6 On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

2 H4672 And it was found H3789 written, H4782 that Mordecai H5046 had told H904 of Bigthana H8657 and Teresh, H8147 two H4428 of the king’s H5631 chamberlains, H8104 the keepers H5592 of the door, H834 who H1245 sought H7971 to lay H3027 hand H4428 on the king H325 Ahasuerus.

3 H4428 And the king H559 said, H4100 What H3366 honor H1420 and dignity H6213 has been done H4782 to Mordecai H2088 for this? H559 Then said H4428 the king’s H5288 servants H8334 that ministered H3808 to him, There is nothing H1697 H6213 done for him.

5 H4428 And the king’s H5288 servants H559 said H2009 to him, Behold, H2001 Haman H5975 stands H2691 in the court. H4428 And the king H559 said, H935 Let him come in.

6 H2001 So Haman H935 came H4428 in. And the king H559 said H4100 to him, What H6213 shall be done H376 to the man H4428 whom the king H2654 delights H3366 to honor? H2001 Now Haman H559 thought H3820 in his heart, H4428 To whom would the king H2654 delight H6213 to do H3366 honor H3148 more than to myself?

7 H2001 And Haman H559 answered H4428 the king, H376 For the man H4310 whom H4428 the king H2654 delights H3366 to honor,

8 H4438 Let the royal H3830 apparel H935 be brought H834 which H4428 the king H3847 uses to wear, H5483 and the horse H4428 that the king H7392 rides H3804 on, and the crown H4438 royal H834 which H5414 is set H7218 on his head:

9 H2088 And let this H3830 apparel H5483 and horse H5414 be delivered H3027 to the hand H376 of one H4428 of the king’s H6579 most H6579 noble H8269 princes, H3847 that they may array H376 the man H834 with whom H4428 the king H2654 delights H3366 to honor, H7392 and bring H7392 him on horseback H7339 through the street H5892 of the city, H7121 and proclaim H6440 before H3602 him, Thus H6213 shall it be done H376 to the man H834 whom H4428 the king H2654 delights H3366 to honor.

10 H4428 Then the king H559 said H2001 to Haman, H4116 Make haste, H3947 and take H3830 the apparel H5483 and the horse, H1696 as you have said, H6213 and do H3651 even so H4782 to Mordecai H3064 the Jew, H3427 that sits H4428 at the king’s H8179 gate: H1697 let nothing H5307 fail H3605 of all H1696 that you have spoken.

11 H3947 Then took H2001 Haman H3830 the apparel H5483 and the horse, H3847 and arrayed H4782 Mordecai, H7392 and brought H7392 him on horseback H7339 through the street H5892 of the city, H7121 and proclaimed H6440 before H3602 him, Thus H6213 shall it be done H376 to the man H834 whom H4428 the king H2654 delights H3366 to honor.

12 H4782 And Mordecai H7725 came H7725 again H4428 to the king’s H8179 gate. H2001 But Haman H1765 hurried H1004 to his house H57 mourning, H7218 and having his head H2645 covered.

13 H2001 And Haman H5608 told H2238 Zeresh H802 his wife H3605 and all H157 his friends H3605 every H7136 thing that had befallen H559 him. Then said H2450 his wise H2238 men and Zeresh H802 his wife H518 to him, If H4782 Mordecai H2233 be of the seed H3064 of the Jews, H6440 before H834 whom H2490 you have begun H5307 to fall, H3201 you shall not prevail H3588 against him, but shall surely H5307 fall H6440 before him.

14 H5750 And while they were yet H1696 talking H935 with him, came H4428 the king’s H5631 chamberlains, H926 and hurried H935 to bring H2001 Haman H4960 to the banquet H635 that Esther H6213 had prepared.
