Jeremiah 28:1-29 And it came to pass in the fourth year of the reigning of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fifth month, Hananiah said to me (son of Azur the false prophet, the one from Gibeon) in the house of the lord in front of the eyes of the priests and all the people, saying,

2 G3779 Thus G2036 said G2962 the lord G3588 of the G1411 forces, G3588 the G2316 God G* of Israel, G4937 I broke G3588 the G2218 yoke G3588 of the G935 king G* of Babylon.

3 G2089 Yet in G1417 two G2094 years G2250 of days G1473 I G654 will return G1519 unto G3588 G5117 this place G3778 G3956 all G3588 the G4632 items G3624 of the house G2962 of the lord,

4 G2532 and G* Jeconiah, G2532 and G3588 the G599.2 resettlement G* of Judah; G3754 for G4937 I shall break G3588 the G2218 yoke G935 of the king G* of Babylon.

5 G2532 And G2036 [⁴said G* ¹Jeremiah G3588 ²the G4396 ³prophet] G4314 to G* Hananiah G2596 before G3788 the eyes G3588 of the G2409 priests, G2532 and G2596 before G3788 the eyes G3956 of all G3588 of the G2992 people G3588 G2476 standing G1722 in G3624 the house G2962 of the lord;

8 G3588 The G4396 prophets, G3588 the ones G1096 being G4387 prior to G1473 me, G2532 and G4387 prior to G1473 you G575 from G3588 the G165 eon, G2532 and G4395 prophesied G1909 against G1093 [²land G4183 ¹much], G2532 and G1909 over G932 [²kingdoms G3173 ¹great] G4012 concerning G4171 war, G2532 and G4012 concerning G2347 affliction, G2532 and G4012 concerning G3061 pestilence.

9 G3588 The G4396 prophet G3588 G4395 prophesying G1519 for G1515 peace, G2064 in the coming to pass G3588 of the G3056 word, G1097 they shall know G3588 the G4396 prophet G3739 whom G649 [²sent G1473 ³to them G2962 ¹ the lord] G1722 in G4102 trust.

10 G2532 And G2983 Hananiah took G* G3588 the G2827.2 collars G575 from G3588 the G5137 neck G* of Jeremiah, G2532 and G4937 he broke G1473 them.

11 G2532 And G2036 Hananiah said G* G2596 before G3788 the eyes G3956 of all G3588 the G2992 people, G3004 saying, G3779 Thus G2036 said G2962 the lord, G3779 Thus G4937 I will break G3588 the G2218 yoke G935 of the king G* of Babylon G1417 in two G2094 years G2250 of days G575 from G3588 the G5137 necks G3956 of all G3588 the G1484 nations. 13 G897.2 Proceed G2532 and G2036 say G4314 to G* Hananiah! G3004 saying, G3779 Thus G2036 said G2962 the lord, G2827.2 [³collars G3585 ²wooden G4937 ¹you broke], G2532 but G4160 I will make G473 instead G3739 of these G2827.2 collars G4603 of iron.

14 G3754 For G3779 thus G2036 said G2962 the lord G3588 of the G1411 forces, G3588 the G2316 God G* of Israel, G2218 A yoke G4603 of iron G5087 I have put G1909 upon G3588 G5137 the neck G3956 of all G3588 the G1484 nations G2038 to work G3588 for the G935 king G* of Babylon, G3588 G1398 to serve G1473 to him. G2532 And G1065 indeed G3588 the G2934 cattle G3588 of the G1093 land G1325 I gave G1473 to him.

15 G2532 And G2036 Jeremiah said G* G3588 G* to Hananiah, G191 Hear, G* O Hananiah! G3756 [²has not sent G649 G1473 ³you G2962 ¹ The lord], G2532 and G1473 you G3982 [³to rely G4160 ¹made G3588 G2992 ²this people] G3778 G1909 upon G94 wrongdoing.

16 G1223 On account of G3778 this, G3779 Thus G2036 said G2962 the lord, G2400 Behold, G1473 I G1821 send you out G1473 G575 from G4383 the face G3588 of the G1093 land. G3778 In this G3588 G1763 year G599 you shall die, G3754 for G2596 [²against G3588 ³the G2962 ⁴ lord G2980 ¹you spoke].

17 G2532 And G599 he died G3588 in the G3376 [²month G3588 G1442 ¹seventh].
