Genesis 2:1-25

  1 G2532 And G4931 [⁶were completed G3588 ¹the G3772 ²heaven G2532 ³and G3588 ⁴the G1093 ⁵earth], G2532 and G3956 all G3588 the G2889 cosmos G1473 of them.

  2 G2532 And G4931 God completed G3588   G2316   G1722 in G3588 the G2250 [²day G3588   G1622 ¹sixth] G3588   G2041 his works G1473   G3739 which G4160 he did. G2532 And G2664 he rested G3588 on the G2250 [²day G3588   G1442 ¹seventh] G575 from G3956 all G3588   G2041 his works G1473   G3739 which G4160 he did.

  3 G2532 And G2127 God blessed G3588   G2316   G3588 the G2250 [²day G3588   G1442 ¹seventh], G2532 and G37 sanctified G1473 it; G3754 for G1722 in G1473 it G2664 he rested G575 from G3956 all G3588   G2041 his works -- G1473   G3739 which G756 God began G3588   G2316   G4160 to do.

  10 G4215 And a river G1161   G1607 goes forth G1537 from G* Eden G4222 to water G3588 the G3857 paradise; G1564 from there G873 it separates G1519 into G5064 four G746 sources.

  11 G3686 The name G3588 to the G1520 one G* is Phison. G3778 This is G3588 the one G2944 encircling G3956 all G3588 the G1093 land G* of Havilah -- G1563 [⁵there G3739 ¹where G1510.2.3 ⁴is G3588 ²the G5553 ³gold].

  12 G3588 And the G1161   G5553 gold G3588   G1093 of that land G1565   G2570 is good, G2532 and G1563 there G1510.2.3 is G3588 the G440 carbuncle G2532 and G3588 the G3037 [²stone G3588   G4237.1 ¹leek colored].

  13 G2532 And G3686 the name G3588 to the G4215 [²river G3588   G1208 ¹second] G* is Gihon. G3778 This is G3588 the one G2944 encircling G3956 all G3588 the G1093 land G* of Ethiopia.

  14 G2532 And G3588 the G4215 [²river G3588   G5154 ¹third] G* is the Tigris. G3778 This is G3588 the one G4313 going forth G2713 over against G* the Assyrians. G3588 And the G1161   G4215 [²river G3588   G5067 ¹fourth] G* is the Euphrates.

  15 G2532 And G2983 [³took G2962 ¹ the lord G3588   G2316 ²God] G3588 the G444 man G3739 whom G4111 he shaped, G2532 and G5087 put G1473 him G1722 in G3588 the G3857 paradise G2038 to work G1473 it G2532 and G5442 to guard.

  16 G2532 And G1781 [³gave charge G2962 ¹ the lord G3588   G2316 ²God] G3588 to G* Adam, G3004 saying, G575 From G3956 all G3586 of a tree G3588 of the one G1722 in G3588 the G3857 paradise G1035 [²food G2068 ¹you shall eat],

  17 G575 but from G1161   G3588 the G3586 tree G3588 of the G1097 knowing G2570 good G2532 and G4190 evil, G3756 you shall not G2068 eat G575 from G1473 it; G3588 but in whatever G1161   G302   G2250 day G2068 you should eat G575 from G1473 it, G2288 to death G599 you shall die.

  18 G2532 And G2036 [³said G2962 ¹ the lord G3588   G2316 ²God], G3756 It is not G2570 good G1510.1 [³to be G3588 ¹ for the G444 ²man] G3441 alone, G4160 let us make G1473 for him G998 a helper G2596 according to G1473 him!

  19 G2532 And G4111 God shaped G3588   G2316   G2089 yet G1537 from out of G3588 the G1093 earth G3956 all G3588 the G2342 wild beasts G3588 of the G68 field, G2532 and G3956 all G3588 the G4071 winged creatures G3588 of the G3772 heaven. G2532 And G71 he led G1473 them G4314 to G3588   G* Adam, G1492 to behold G5100 what G2564 he would call G1473 them. G2532 And G3956 all G3739 what G302 ever G2564 [²called G1473 ³it G* ¹Adam] -- G5590 [²life G2198 ¹ the living], G3778 this G3686 was the name G1473 to it.

  20 G2532 And G2564 Adam called G*   G3686 names G3956 to all G3588 the G2934 cattle, G2532 and G3956 to all G3588 the G4071 winged creatures G3588 of the G3772 heaven, G2532 and G3956 to all G3588 the G2342 wild beasts G3588 of the G68 field; G3588 but to G1161   G* Adam G3756 there was not G2147 found G998 a helper G3664 likened G1473 to him.

  21 G2532 And G1911 [³put G2962 ¹ the lord G3588   G2316 ²God] G1611 a change of state G1909 over G3588   G* Adam, G2532 and G5258.1 he slept. G2532 And G2983 he took G1520 one G3588   G4125 of his ribs, G1473   G2532 and G378 supplied G4561 flesh G473 against G1473 it.

  22 G2532 And G3618 [³built G2962 ¹ the lord G3588   G2316 ²God] G3588 the G4125 rib G3739 which G2983 he took G575 from G3588   G* Adam G1519 into G1135 a woman. G2532 And G71 he led G1473 her G4314 to G3588   G* Adam.

  23 G2532 And G2036 Adam said, G*   G3778 This G3568 now G3747 is bone G1537 from G3588   G3747 my bones, G1473   G2532 and G4561 flesh G1537 from G3588   G4561 my flesh; G1473   G3778 she G2564 shall be called G1135 woman, G3754 for G1537 from G3588 the G435 man G1473 she G2983 was taken.

  24 G1752 Because of G3778 this G2641 [²shall leave G444 ¹man] G3588   G3962 his father G1473   G2532 and G3588   G3384 mother, G2532 and G4347 shall cleave to G3588   G1135 his wife, G1473   G2532 and G1510.8.6 [³shall be G3588 ¹the G1417 ²two] G1519 for G4561 [²flesh G1520 ¹one].

  25 G2532 And G1510.7.6 [³were G3588 ¹the G1417 ²two] G1131 naked, G3739   G5037 both G* Adam G2532 and G3588   G1135 his wife. G1473   G2532 And G3756 they were not G153 ashamed.
