2 Samuel 14:5-24

  5 G2532 And G2036 [³said G4314 ⁴to G1473 ⁵her G3588 ¹the G935 ²king], G5100 What G1473 to you G1510.2.3 is it? G3588   G1161 And G2036 she said, G2532 By all means G3118.3   G1135 [⁴woman G5503 ³a widow G1473 ¹I G1510.2.1 ²am], G2532 and G599 [²died G3588   G435 ¹my husband]. G1473  

  6 G2532 And G1065 indeed G3588 to G1399 your maidservant G1473   G1417 are two G5207 sons, G2532 and G3164 they [²quarreled G297 ¹both] G1722 in G3588 the G68 field, G2532 and G3756 there was no one G1510.7.3   G3588   G1807 for rescuing G303.1 between G1473 them, G2532 and G3817 [³hit G3588 ¹the G1520 ²one] G3588   G1520 [²one G80 ³brother G1473 ¹his], G2532 and G2289 killed him. G1473  

  7 G2532 And G2400 behold, G1881 [⁴rose up G3650 ²entire G3588 ¹the G3965 ³family] G4314 against G3588   G1399 your maidservant, G1473   G2532 and G2036 they said, G1325 Give over G3588 the G3817 one hitting G3588   G80 his brother, G1473   G2532 and G2289 we shall kill him, G1473   G473 on account of G3588 the G5590 life G3588   G80 of his brother G1473   G3739 whom G615 he killed; G2532 and G1808 we shall take away G3588 the G2818 heir. G2532 And G4570 so they shall extinguish G3588   G440 my spark of coal, G1473   G3588 the one G2641 being left behind to me, G5620 so as G3361 to not G5087 establish G3588 to G435 my husband G1473   G2640 a vestige G2532 and G3686 name G1909 upon G4383 the face G3588 of the G1093 earth.

  8 G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G4314 to G3588 the G1135 woman, G4198 Go G1519 to G3588   G3624 your house G1473   G5198 being in health! G2504 and I G1781 will take charge G4012 concerning G1473 you.

  9 G2532 And G2036 [⁴said G3588   G1135 ³woman G3588 ¹the G* ²Tekoahite] G4314 to G3588 the G935 king, G2962 O my master, G1473   G935 O king, G1909 upon G1473 me G3588 be the G93 iniquity, G2532 and G1909 upon G3588 the G3624 house G3588   G3962 of my father! G1473   G2532 and G3588 the G935 king G2532 and G3588   G2362 his throne G1473   G121 be innocent!

  10 G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G935 ²king], G3588 The one G2980 speaking G4314 to G1473 you G4487 a word, G71 lead G1473 him G4314 to G1473 me! G2532 and G3766.2 in no way G4369 shall anyone proceed G2089 yet G680 to touch G1473 you.

  11 G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G1135 ²woman], G3421 Let now [³remember G1211 ⁴indeed G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G3588 the G2962 lord G2316 your God! G1473   G4129 to multiply G70.3 a relative G3588 for G129 blood G3588   G1311 to utterly destroy, G2532 and G3766.2 in no way G1808 take away G3588   G5207 my son. G1473   G2532 And G2036 he said, G2198 As the lord lives, G2962   G3756 there shall not fall G4098   G575 of G3588 the G2359 hair G3588   G5207 of your son G1473   G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 ground.

  12 G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G1135 ²woman], G2980 Let [²speak G1211 ³indeed G3588   G1399 ¹your maidservant] G1473   G4314 to G3588   G2962 my master G1473   G3588 the G935 king G4487 a thing! G2532 And G2036 he said, G2980 Speak!

  13 G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G1135 ²woman], G2444 Why G3049 have you imputed G3779 thus G1909 upon G2992 the people G2316 of God? G2532 Yes, G1537 by G3588   G2980 [³speaking G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G3588   G3056 this word G3778   G5613 it is as G4131.1 a trespass, G3588   G3361 [³to not G1994 ⁴return G3588 ¹for the G935 ²king] G3588 the one G683 being thrust away G575 by G1473 him.

  14 G3754 For G2288 to death G599 we shall die, G2532 and G5618 as G3588 the G5204 water G3588   G1632 being discharged G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 earth, G3756 not G4863 being gathered together; G2532 that G3756 [²not G2983 ¹God shall] take G3588   G2316   G5590 the life; G2532 yet G3049 he himself devises G3053 a device G3588 to G3361 not G683 thrust away G575 from G1473 him G683 the one being thrusted away.

  15 G2532 And G3568 now G5228 for G3739 which G2240 I came G2980 to speak G4314 to G3588 [²the G935 ³king G3588   G2962 ¹my master] G1473   G3588   G3056 this word, G3778   G3754 for G3708 [³see G1473 ⁴me G3588 ¹the G2992 ²people]; G2532 and G2046 [³will say G3588   G1399 ²maidservant G1473 ¹your], G2980 Let [²speak G1211 ³indeed G3588   G1399 ¹your maidservant] G1473   G4314 to G3588   G2962 my master G1473   G3588 the G935 king, G1513 if by any means G4160 [³shall do G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G3588 the G4487 matter G3588   G3814 of his maidservant; G1473  

  16 G3754 for G191 [³shall hear G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G4506 to rescue G3588   G1399 his maidservant G1473   G1537 from out of G5495 the hand G3588 of the G435 man G3588   G2212 seeking G1808 to take me away, G1473   G2532 and G3588   G5207 my son, G1473   G575 from G2817 the inheritance G2316 of God.

  17 G2532 And G2046 said G3588   G1399 your maidservant, G1473   G1096 Let G1211 indeed G3588 the G3056 word G3588   G2962 of my master G1473   G3588 the G935 king G1519 be as an G2378 accepted sacrifice. G3754 For G2531 as G32 a messenger G2316 of God, G3779 thus is G3588   G2962 my master G1473   G3588 the G935 king, G3588   G191 to hear G3588 the G2570 good G2532 and G3588 the G4190 bad; G2532 and G2962 the lord G3588   G2316 your God G1473   G1510.8.3 will be G3326 with G1473 you.

  18 G2532 And G611 [³answered G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G2532 and G2036 said G3588 to the G1135 woman, G3361 You should not G1211 indeed G2928 hide G575 from G1473 me G3588 the G4487 matter G3739 which G302 ever G1473 I G1905 shall ask G1473 you. G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G1135 ²woman], G2980 Let [⁵speak G1211 ¹indeed G3588   G2962 ²my master G1473   G3588 ³the G935 ⁴king]!

  19 G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G935 ²king], G3361 Is not G3588 the G5495 hand G* of Joab G1722 in G3956 all G3778 this G3326 with G1473 you? G2532 And G611 [³answered G2532 ⁴and G2036 ⁵said G3588 ¹the G1135 ²woman] G3588 to the G935 king, G2198 As [²lives G3588   G5590 ¹your soul], G1473   G2962 O my master, G1473   G935 O king, G1487 since there is no turning G1510.2.3   G1519 to G3588 the G1188 right G2228 or G1519 to G3588 the G710 left G1537 of G3956 all G3739 which G2980 [⁴spoke G3588   G2962 ¹my master G1473   G3588 ²the G935 ³king], G3754 for G3588   G1401 your servant G1473   G* Joab G1473 himself G1781 gave charge G1473 to me, G2532 and G1473 he G5087 put G1722 [³in G3588 ⁴the G4750 ⁵mouth G3588   G1399 ⁶of your maidservant G1473   G3956 ¹all G3588   G3056 ²these words].   20 G1752 So as for G3588   G4022 [⁴to come about G3588 ¹the G4383 ²face G3588   G4487 ³of this matter], G3778   G4160 [³prepared G3588   G1401 ²your servant G1473   G* ¹Joab] G3588   G3056 this thing. G3778   G2532 And G3588   G2962 my master G1473   G3588 the G935 king G4680 is wise G2531 as G4678 the wisdom G32 of a messenger G3588   G2316 of God, G3588   G1097 to know G3956 all G3588 the things G1722 in G3588 the G1093 land.

  21 G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G4314 to G* Joab, G2400 Behold, G1211 indeed G4160 I do G1473 to you G2596 according to G3588   G3056 [²your word G1473   G3778 ¹this]. G4198 Go G1994 return G3588 the G3808 young man G3588   G* Absalom!

  22 G2532 And G4098 Joab fell G*   G1909 upon G4383 his face G1473   G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 ground, G2532 and G4352 did obeisance, G2532 and G2127 blessed G3588 the G935 king. G2532 And G2036 Joab said, G*   G4594 Today G1097 [²knows G3588   G1401 ¹your servant] G1473   G3754 that G2147 he found G5484 favor G1722 in G3788 your eyes, G1473   G2962 O my master, G1473   G935 O king, G3754 for G4160 [⁴did G3588   G2962 ¹my master G1473   G3588 ²the G935 ³king] G3588 the G3056 matter G3588   G1401 for his servant.   23 G2532 And G450 Joab rose up G*   G2532 and G4198 went G1519 into G* Geshur, G2532 and G71 he led G3588   G* Absalom G1519 into G* Jerusalem.

  24 G2532 And G2036 [³said G3588 ¹the G935 ²king], G654 Let him return G1519 to G3588   G3624 his house, G1473   G2532 but G3588   G4383 [³my face G1473   G3361 ¹let him not G991 ²see]! G2532 And G654 Absalom returned G*   G1519 to G3588   G3624 his house, G1473   G2532 but G3588 the G4383 face G3588 of the G935 king G3756 he did not G1492 see.
