  24 G2532 And G1781 [2gave charge G1473 3to us G2962 1 the lord] G4160 to do G3956 all G3588   G1345 these ordinances, G3778   G5399 to fear G2962 the lord G3588   G2316 our God, G1473   G2443 that G2095 good G1510.3 might be G1473 to us G3956 all G3588 the G2250 days, G2443 that G2198 we should live G5618 as G2532 even G4594 today.
  25 G2532 And G1654 mercy G1510.8.3 will be G1473 to us, G1437 if G5442 we guard G4160 to do G3956 all G3588 the G1785 commandments G3588   G3551 of this law G1473   G1725 before G2962 the lord G3588   G2316 our God, G1473   G2505 as G1781 he gave charge G1473 to us.

  3 H8085 ושׁמעת Hear H3478 ישׂראל therefore, O Israel, H8104 ושׁמרת and observe H6213 לעשׂות to do H834 אשׁר that H3190 ייטב it may be well H834 לך ואשׁר with thee, and that H7235 תרבון ye may increase H3966 מאד mightily, H834 כאשׁר as H1696 דבר hath promised H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H1 אבתיך of thy fathers H776 לך ארץ thee, in the land H2100 זבת that floweth H2461 חלב with milk H1706 ודבשׁ׃ and honey.
  4 H8085 שׁמע Hear, H3478 ישׂראל O Israel: H3068 יהוה The LORD H430 אלהינו our God H3068 יהוה LORD: H259 אחד׃ one
  5 H157 ואהבת And thou shalt love H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H3605 בכל with all H3824 לבבך thine heart, H3605 ובכל and with all H5315 נפשׁך thy soul, H3605 ובכל and with all H3966 מאדך׃ thy might.
  6 H1961 והיו shall be H1697 הדברים words, H428 האלה And these H834 אשׁר which H595 אנכי I H6680 מצוך command H3117 היום thee this day, H5921 על in H3824 לבבך׃ thine heart:
  7 H8150 ושׁננתם And thou shalt teach them diligently H1121 לבניך unto thy children, H1696 ודברת and shalt talk H3427 בם בשׁבתך of them when thou sittest H1004 בביתך in thine house, H1980 ובלכתך and when thou walkest H1870 בדרך by the way, H7901 ובשׁכבך and when thou liest down, H6965 ובקומך׃ and when thou risest up.
  8 H7194 וקשׁרתם And thou shalt bind H226 לאות them for a sign H5921 על upon H3027 ידך thine hand, H1961 והיו and they shall be H2903 לטטפת as frontlets H996 בין between H5869 עיניך׃ thine eyes.
  9 H3789 וכתבתם And thou shalt write H5921 על them upon H4201 מזזות the posts H1004 ביתך of thy house, H8179 ובשׁעריך׃ and on thy gates.
  10 H1961 והיה And it shall be, H3588 כי when H935 יביאך shall have brought H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H413 אל thee into H776 הארץ the land H834 אשׁר which H7650 נשׁבע he swore H1 לאבתיך unto thy fathers, H85 לאברהם to Abraham, H3327 ליצחק to Isaac, H3290 וליעקב and to Jacob, H5414 לתת to give H5892 לך ערים cities, H1419 גדלת thee great H2896 וטבת and goodly H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא not, H1129 בנית׃ thou buildedst
  11 H1004 ובתים And houses H4392 מלאים full H3605 כל of all H2898 טוב good H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא not, H4390 מלאת thou filledst H953 וברת and wells H2672 חצובים digged, H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא not, H2672 חצבת thou diggedst H3754 כרמים vineyards H2132 וזיתים and olive trees, H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא not; H5193 נטעת thou plantedst H398 ואכלת when thou shalt have eaten H7646 ושׂבעת׃ and be full;
  12 H8104 השׁמר beware H6435 לך פן lest H7911 תשׁכח thou forget H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD, H834 אשׁר which H3318 הוציאך brought thee forth H776 מארץ out of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H1004 מבית from the house H5650 עבדים׃ of bondage.
  13 H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God, H3372 תירא Thou shalt fear H853 ואתו   H5647 תעבד and serve H8034 ובשׁמו by his name. H7650 תשׁבע׃ him, and shalt swear
  14 H3808 לא Ye shall not H1980 תלכון go H310 אחרי after H430 אלהים gods, H312 אחרים other H430 מאלהי of the gods H5971 העמים of the people H834 אשׁר which H5439 סביבותיכם׃ round about

  17 H8104 שׁמור   H8104 תשׁמרון   H853 את   H4687 מצות the commandments H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God, H5713 ועדתיו and his testimonies, H2706 וחקיו and his statutes, H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוך׃ he hath commanded
  18 H6213 ועשׂית And thou shalt do H3477 הישׁר right H2896 והטוב and good H5869 בעיני in the sight H3068 יהוה of the LORD: H4616 למען that H3190 ייטב it may be well H935 לך ובאת with thee, and that thou mayest go in H3423 וירשׁת and possess H853 את   H776 הארץ land H2896 הטבה the good H834 אשׁר which H7650 נשׁבע swore H3068 יהוה the LORD H1 לאבתיך׃ unto thy fathers,

  21 H559 ואמרת Then thou shalt say H1121 לבנך unto thy son, H5650 עבדים bondmen H1961 היינו We were H6547 לפרעה Pharaoh's H4714 במצרים in Egypt; H3318 ויציאנו brought us out H3068 יהוה and the LORD H4714 ממצרים   H3027 ביד hand: H2389 חזקה׃ with a mighty
  22 H5414 ויתן showed H3068 יהוה And the LORD H226 אותת signs H4159 ומפתים and wonders, H1419 גדלים great H7451 ורעים and sore, H4714 במצרים upon Egypt, H6547 בפרעה upon Pharaoh, H3605 ובכל and upon all H1004 ביתו his household, H5869 לעינינו׃ before our eyes:

  24 H6680 ויצונו commanded H3068 יהוה And the LORD H6213 לעשׂות us to do H853 את   H3605 כל all H2706 החקים statutes, H428 האלה these H3372 ליראה to fear H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God, H2896 לטוב for our good H3605 לנו כל always, H3117 הימים always, H2421 לחיתנו that he might preserve us alive, H3117 כהיום day. Geneva(i) 1 These now are the commandements, ordinances, and lawes, which the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that ye might doe them in the land whither ye go to possesse it: 2 That thou mightest feare the Lord thy God, and keepe all his ordinances, and his commandements which I commaund thee, thou, and thy sonne, and thy sonnes sonne all the dayes of thy life, euen that thy dayes may be prolonged. 3 Heare therefore, O Israel, and take heede to doe it, that it may go well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily in the land that floweth with milke and hony, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee. 4 Heare, O Israel, The Lord our God is Lord onely, 5 And thou shalt loue the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soule, and with all thy might. 6 And these wordes which I commaund thee this day, shalbe in thine heart. 7 And thou shalt rehearse them continually vnto thy children, and shalt talke of them when thou tariest in thine house, and as thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest downe, and when thou risest vp: 8 And thou shalt binde them for a signe vpon thine hand, and they shalbe as frontlets betweene thine eyes. 9 Also thou shalt write them vpon ye postes of thine house, and vpon thy gates. 10 And when the Lord thy God hath brought thee into the land, which he sware vnto thy fathers, Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob, to giue to thee, with great and goodly cities which thou buildedst not, 11 And houses full of all maner of goods which thou filledst not, and welles digged which thou diggedst not, vineyards and oliue trees which thou plantedst not, and when thou hast eaten and art full, 12 Beware least thou forget the Lord, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 13 Thou shalt feare the Lord thy God, and serue him, and shalt sweare by his Name. 14 Ye shall not walke after other gods, after any of the gods of the people which are round about you, 15 (For the Lord thy God is a ielous God among you:) least the wrath of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from the face of the earth. 16 Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye did tempt him in Massah: 17 But ye shall keepe diligently the commandements of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his ordinances which he hath commanded thee, 18 And thou shalt doe that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that thou mayest prosper, and that thou mayest go in, and possesse that good land which the Lord sware vnto thy fathers, 19 To cast out all thine enemies before thee, as the Lord hath sayd. 20 When thy sonne shall aske thee in time to come, saying, What meane these testimonies, and ordinances, and Lawes, which the Lord our God hath commanded you? 21 Then shalt thou say vnto thy sonne, We were Pharaohs bondmen in Egypt: but the Lord brought vs out of Egypt with a mightie hand. 22 And the Lord shewed signes and wonders great and euill vpon Egypt, vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his housholde, before our eyes, 23 And brought vs out from thence, to bring vs in, and to giue vs the land which he sware vnto our fathers. 24 Therefore the Lord hath commanded vs, to doe all these ordinances, and to feare the Lord our God, that it may goe euer well with vs, and that he may preserue vs aliue as at this present. 25 Moreouer, this shall be our righteousnes before the Lord our God, if we take heede to keepe all these commandements, as he hath commanded vs.

YLT(i) 1 `And this is the command, the statutes and the judgments which Jehovah your God hath commanded to teach you, to do in the land which ye are passing over thither to possess it, 2 so that thou dost fear Jehovah thy God, to keep all His statutes and His commands, which I am commanding thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all days of thy life, and so that thy days are prolonged. 3 `And thou hast heard, O Israel, and observed to do, that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest multiply exceedingly, as Jehovah, God of thy fathers, hath spoken to thee, in the land flowing with milk and honey.
4 `Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah; 5 and thou hast loved Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might, 6 and these words which I am commanding thee to-day have been on thine heart, 7 and thou hast repeated them to thy sons, and spoken of them in thy sitting in thine house, and in thy walking in the way, and in thy lying down, and in thy rising up, 8 and hast bound them for a sign upon thy hand, and they have been for frontlets between thine eyes, 9 and thou hast written them on door-posts of thy house, and on thy gates. 10 `And it hath been, when Jehovah thy God doth bring thee in unto the land which He hath sworn to thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to thee--cities great and good, which thou hast not built, 11 and houses full of all good things which thou hast not filled, and wells digged which thou hast not digged, vineyards and olive-yards which thou hast not planted, and thou hast eaten, and been satisfied; 12 `Take heed to thyself lest thou forget Jehovah who hath brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants; 13 Jehovah thy God thou dost fear, and Him thou dost serve, and by His name thou dost swear; 14 ye do not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are round about you; 15 for a zealous God is Jehovah thy God in thy midst--lest the anger of Jehovah thy God burn against thee, and He hath destroyed thee from off the face of the ground. 16 `Ye do not try Jehovah your God as ye tried in Massah;
17 ye do diligently keep the commands of Jehovah your God, and His testimonies, and His statutes which He hath commanded thee, 18 and thou hast done that which is right and good in the eyes of Jehovah, so that it is well with thee, and thou hast gone in and possessed the good land which Jehovah hath sworn to thy fathers, 19 to drive away all thine enemies from thy presence, as Jehovah hath spoken. 20 `When thy son asketh thee hereafter, saying, What are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Jehovah our God hath commanded you? 21 then thou hast said to thy son, Servants we have been to Pharaoh in Egypt, and Jehovah bringeth us out of Egypt by a high hand; 22 and Jehovah giveth signs and wonders, great and sad, on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes; 23 and us He hath brought out thence, in order to bring us in, to give to us the land which He had sworn to our fathers. 24 And Jehovah commandeth us to do all these statutes, to fear Jehovah our God, for good to ourselves all the days, to keep us alive, as at this day; 25 and righteousness it is for us, when we observe to do all this command before Jehovah our God, as He hath commanded us.
ASV(i) 1 Now this is the commandment, the statutes, and the ordinances, which Jehovah your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it; 2 that thou mightest fear Jehovah thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy sons son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. 3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as Jehovah, the God of thy fathers, hath promised unto thee, in a land flowing with milk and honey. 4 Hear, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah: 5 and thou shalt love Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart; 7 and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thy hand, and they shall be for frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates. 10 And it shall be, when Jehovah thy God shall bring thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee, great and goodly cities, which thou buildest not, 11 and houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and cisterns hewn out, which thou hewedst not, vineyards and olive-trees, which thou plantedst not, and thou shalt eat and be full; 12 then beware lest thou forget Jehovah, who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 13 Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God; and him shalt thou serve, and shalt swear by his name. 14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples that are round about you; 15 for Jehovah thy God in the midst of thee is a jealous God; lest the anger of Jehovah thy God be kindled against thee, and he destroy thee from off the face of the earth. 16 Ye shall not tempt Jehovah your God, as ye tempted him in Massah. 17 Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of Jehovah your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee. 18 And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of Jehovah; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which Jehovah sware unto thy fathers, 19 to thrust out all thine enemies from before thee, as Jehovah hath spoken. 20 When thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which Jehovah our God hath commanded you? 21 then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaohs bondmen in Egypt: and Jehovah brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand; 22 and Jehovah showed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his house, before our eyes; 23 and he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers. 24 And Jehovah commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Jehovah our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as at this day. 25 And it shall be righteousness unto us, if we observe to do all this commandment before Jehovah our God, as he hath commanded us.
