3 G575 from G732.1 male G2193 unto G2337.1 female G1821 you send them G1854 outside G3588 the G3925 camp! G2532 for G3766.2 in no way G3392 shall they defile G3588 G3925 their camp G1473 G1722 in G3739 which G1473 I G2606.3 occupy G1722 among G1473 them.

4 G2532 And G4160 [⁴did G3779 ⁵thus G3588 ¹the G5207 ²sons G* ³of Israel]. G2532 And G1821 they sent G1473 them G1854 outside G3588 the G3925 camp G2505 as G2980 the lord said G2962 G3588 to G* Moses -- G3779 thus G4160 [⁴did G3588 ¹the G5207 ²sons G* ³of Israel].

7 G1805.1 he should declare openly G3588 the G266 sin G3739 which G4160 he did, G2532 and G591 shall give G3588 for the G4131.1 trespass offering G3588 the G2774 total sum, G2532 and G3588 the G1967.1 fifth part G1473 of it G4369 he shall add G1909 unto G1473 it, G2532 and G591 shall give back G5100 to whomever G4131.2 he trespassed against G1473 him.

8 G1437 But if G1161 G3361 there might not G1510.3 be G3588 to the G444 man G3588 G70.4 acting as next of kin, G5620 so as G591 to give G1473 to him satisfaction G3588 for the G4131.3 trespass offering, G3588 let the G4131.3 trespass offering, G3588 the one G591 being given G3588 be to the G2962 lord -- G3588 [²for the G2409 ³priest G1510.8.3 ¹it shall be], G4133 besides G3588 the G2919.1 ram G3588 of the G2434 atonement, G1223 by G3739 which G1837.2 he shall atone G1722 with G1473 it G4012 for G1473 him.

17 G2532 And G2983 [³shall take G3588 ¹the G2409 ²priest G5204 ⁶water G2513 ⁴clean G2198 ⁵living] G1722 in G30 [²receptacle G3749 ¹an earthenware], G2532 and G3588 some of the G1093 earth G3588 G1510.6 being G1909 upon G3588 the G1475 floor G3588 of the G4633 tent G3588 of the G3142 testimony; G2532 and G2983 taking it, G3588 the G2409 priest G1685 shall put it G1519 into G3588 the G5204 water.

21 G2532 then G3726 [³shall bind G3588 ¹the G2409 ²priest] G3588 the G1135 woman G1722 by G3588 the G3727 oaths G3588 G685 of this imprecation. G3778 G2532 And G2046 [³shall say G3588 ¹the G2409 ²priest] G3588 to the G1135 woman, G1325 May [²appoint G1473 ³you G2962 ¹ the lord] G1722 to G685 a curse G2532 and G1774.3 solemn affirmation G1722 in G3319 the midst G3588 G2992 of your people, G1473 G1722 in G3588 the G1325 lord giving G2962 G3588 G3382 of your thigh G1473 G1276.3 to miscarry, G2532 and G3588 G2836 your belly G1473 G4247.1 to bloat;

22 G2532 and G1525 [³shall enter G3588 G5204 ²water G3588 G1943.2 ¹this accursing] G3778 G1519 into G3588 G2836 your belly G1473 G4247.1 to bloat G1064 pregnant G2532 and G1276.3 to miscarry G3382 by your thigh. G1473 G2532 And G2046 [³shall say G3588 ¹the G1135 ²woman], G1096 May it be. G1096 May it be.

23 G2532 And G1125 [³shall write G3588 ¹the G2409 ²priest] G3588 G685 these imprecations G3778 G1519 on G975 a scroll, G2532 and G1813 shall wipe them away G1519 in G3588 the G5204 water G3588 of the G1648.1 rebuke G3588 of the G1943.2 accursing.

24 G2532 And G4222 he shall give to drink to G3588 the G1135 woman G3588 the G5204 water G3588 of the G1648.1 rebuke G3588 of the G1943.2 accursing; G2532 and G1525 shall enter G1519 into G1473 her G3588 the G5204 water G3588 of the G1648.1 rebuke G3588 of the G1943.2 accursing.

25 G2532 And G2983 [³shall take G3588 ¹the G2409 ²priest] G1537 from out of G5495 the hand G3588 of the G1135 woman G3588 the G2378 sacrifice G3588 G2205.1 of jealousy, G2532 and G2007 shall place G3588 the G2378 sacrifice G1725 before G2962 the lord . G2532 And G4374 he shall bring G1473 her G1909 unto G3588 the G2379 altar.

26 G2532 And G1405 [³shall grab G3588 ¹the G2409 ²priest] G575 from G3588 the G2378 sacrifice G3588 G3422 as a memorial G1473 of it, G2532 and G399 he shall offer G1473 it G1909 upon G3588 the G2379 altar; G2532 and G3326 after G3778 these things G4222 he will cause [³to drink G3588 ¹the G1135 ²woman] G3588 the G5204 water.

27 G2532 And G1510.8.3 it shall be G1437 if G1510.3 she should be G3392 defiled, G2532 and G3024 in forgetfulness G2990 [²should be unaware G3588 G435 ¹her husband], G1473 G2532 then G1525 shall enter G1519 into G1473 her G3588 the G5204 water G3588 G1648.1 of rebuke G3588 G1943.2 of accursing, G2532 and G4247.1 [³shall bloat G3588 ¹the G2836 ²belly], G2532 and G1276.3 [²shall miscarry G3588 G3382 ¹her thigh]. G1473 G2532 And G1510.8.3 [³will be G3588 ¹the G1135 ²woman] G1519 for G685 a curse G3588 G2992 to her people. G1473

28 G1437 But if G1161 G3361 [³should not G3392 ⁴be defiled G3588 ¹the G1135 ²woman], G2532 and G2513 should be clean, G1510.3 G2532 then G121 she will be innocent, G1510.8.3 G2532 and G1610.7 shall produce offspring G4690 of semen.

29 G3778 This G3588 is the G3551 law G3588 of the G2205.1 jealousy G3739 in which G302 ever G3845 [³should violate G3588 G1135 ¹a woman G5220 ²being married] G1510.6 G2532 and G3392 should be defiled;

30 G2228 or G444 a man G3739 who G1437 ever G1904 should have [³come G1909 ⁴upon G1473 ⁵him G4151 ¹a spirit G2206.1 ²of jealousy], G2532 and G2206 should be jealous G3588 G1135 of his wife, G1473 G2532 and G2476 should stand G3588 G1135 his wife G1473 G1725 before G2962 the lord, G2532 then G4160 [³shall do G1473 ⁴to her G3588 ¹the G2409 ²priest] G3956 all G3588 G3551 this law. 31 G2532 And G121 [³will be innocent G1510.8.3 G3588 ¹the G444 ²man] G575 from G266 sin. G2532 And G1135 that woman G1565 G2983 shall take G3588 the G266 sin G1473 on herself.

Geneva⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying, ² Commaund the children of Israel that they put out of the hoste euery leper, and euery one that hath an issue, and whosoeuer is defiled by the dead. ³ Both male and female shall ye put out: out of the hoste shall yee put them, that they defile not their tentes among whome I dwell. ⁴ And the children of Israel did so, and put them out of the host, euen as the Lord had commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel. ⁵ And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying, ⁶ Speake vnto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sinne that men commit, and transgresse against the Lord, when that person shall trespasse, ⁷ Then they shall confesse their sinne which they haue done, and shall restore the domage thereof with his principall, and put the fift part of it more thereto, and shall giue it vnto him, against whom he hath trespassed. ⁸ But if the man haue no kinseman, to whom he shoulde restore the domage, the domage shall be restored to the Lord for the Priests vse besides the ramme of the atonement, whereby hee shall make atonement for him. ⁹ And euery offring of all the holy thinges of the children of Israel, which they bring vnto the Priest, shalbe his. ¹⁰ And euery mans halowed things shall bee his: that is, whatsoeuer any man giueth the Priest, it shalbe his. ¹¹ And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying, ¹² Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, If any mans wife turne to euill, and commit a trespasse against him, ¹³ So that an other man lie with her fleshly, and it bee hid from the eyes of her husband, and kept close, and yet she be defiled, and there be no witnesse against her, neither she taken with the maner, ¹⁴ If he be moued with a ielous minde, so that he is ielous ouer his wife, which is defiled, or if he haue a ielous minde, so that he is ielous ouer his wife, which is not defiled, ¹⁵ Then shall the man bring his wife to the Priest, and bring her offering with her, the tenth part of an Ephah of barly meale, but he shall not powre oyle vpon it, nor put incense thereon: for it is an offring of ielousie, an offring for a remembrance, calling the sinne to minde: ¹⁶ And the Priest shall bring her, and set her before the Lord. ¹⁷ Then the Priest shall take the holy water in an earthen vessel, and of the dust that is in the floore of the Tabernacle, euen the Priest shall take it and put it into the water. ¹⁸ After, the Priest shall set the woman before the Lord, and vncouer the womans head, and put the offring of the memorial in her hands: it is the ielousie offering, and the Priest shall haue bitter and cursed water in his hand, ¹⁹ And the Priest shall charge her by an othe, and say vnto the woman, If no man haue lien with thee, neither thou hast turned to vncleannesse from thine husband, be free from this bitter and cursed water. ²⁰ But if thou hast turned from thine husband, and so art defiled, and some man hath lyen with thee beside thine husband, ²¹ (Then the Priest shall charge the woman with an othe of cursing, and the Priest shall say vnto the woman) The Lord make thee to be accursed, and detestable for the othe among thy people, and the Lord cause thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell: ²² And that this cursed water may goe into thy bowels, to cause thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot. Then the woman shall answere, Amen, Amen. ²³ After, the Priest shall write these curses in a booke, and shall blot them out with the bitter water, ²⁴ And shall cause the woman to drinke ye bitter and cursed water, and the cursed water, turned into bitternesse, shall enter into her. ²⁵ Then the Priest shall take the ielousie offring out of the womans hand, and shall shake the offring before the Lord, and offer it vpon ye altar. ²⁶ And the Priest shall take an handfull of the offring for a memorial thereof, and burne it vpon the altar, and afterwarde make the woman drinke the water. ²⁷ When yee haue made her drinke the water, (if she bee defiled and haue trespassed against her husband) then shall the cursed water, turned into bitternesse, enter into her, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot, and the woman shall be accursed among her people. ²⁸ But if the woman bee not defiled, but bee cleane, she shalbe free and shall conceiue and beare. ²⁹ This is the law of ielousie, when a wife turneth from her husband and is defiled, ³⁰ Or when a man is moued with a ielous minde being ielous ouer his wife then shall he bring the woman before the Lord, and the Priest shall do to her according to al this lawe, ³¹ And the man shalbe free from sinne, but this woman shall beare her iniquitie.

And let the woman say, Amen amen ²³ And let the priest write these curses in a booke, and shall blot them out with the bitter waters ²⁴ And geue the woman those bitter and cursed waters to drinke, yt those cursed and bitter waters may enter into her ²⁵ And then the priest shall take the gelousie offeryng out of the womans hande, and waue it before the Lorde, and bryng it vnto the aulter ²⁶ And the priest shall take an handfull of the offeryng for a memoriall, & burne it vpon the aulter, and then make the woman drynke the waters ²⁷ And when he hath made the woman drynke the waters, if she be defiled and haue trespassed agaynst her husbande, then shall the cursed and bytter waters go into her, and her belly shal swell, and her thigh shall rotte: and the woman shalbe a curse among her people ²⁸ And yf the woman be not defiled, but is cleane, she shall haue no harme, but shall conceaue and beare ²⁹ This is the lawe of gelousie, when a wyfe goeth aside from her husbande, and is defiled ³⁰ Or when the spirit of gelousie cometh vpon a man, and he beyng gelous ouer his wyfe, doth bryng her before ye Lord: And the priest shall do to her accordyng vnto all this lawe ³¹ And the man shalbe giltlesse, and this woman shall beare her sinne

18 H3548 And the priest H5975 shall set [H8689] H802 the woman H6440 before H3068 the LORD H6544 , and uncover [H8804] H802 the woman's H7218 head H5414 , and put [H8804] H4503 the offering H2146 of memorial H3709 in her hands H7068 , which is the jealousy H4503 offering H3548 : and the priest H3027 shall have in his hand H4751 the bitter H4325 water H779 that causeth the curse [H8764] :

19 H3548 And the priest H7650 shall charge her by an oath [H8689] H559 , and say [H8804] H802 unto the woman H376 , If no man H7901 have lain [H8804] H7847 with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside [H8804] H2932 to uncleanness H376 with another instead of thy husband H5352 , be thou free [H8734] H4751 from this bitter H4325 water H779 that causeth the curse [H8764] :

20 H7847 But if thou hast gone aside [H8804] H376 to another instead of thy husband H2930 , and if thou be defiled [H8738] H376 , and some man H5414 have [H8799] H7903 lain H1107 with thee beside H376 thine husband:

21 H3548 Then the priest H7650 shall charge [H8689] H802 the woman H7621 with an oath H423 of cursing H3548 , and the priest H559 shall say [H8804] H802 unto the woman H3068 , The LORD H5414 make [H8799] H423 thee a curse H7621 and an oath H8432 among H5971 thy people H3068 , when the LORD H5414 doth make [H8800] H3409 thy thigh H5307 to rot [H8802] H990 , and thy belly H6639 to swell;

22 H4325 And this water H779 that causeth the curse [H8764] H935 shall go [H8804] H4578 into thy bowels H990 , to make thy belly H6638 to swell [H8687] H3409 , and thy thigh H5307 to rot [H8687] H802 : And the woman H559 shall say [H8804] H543 , Amen H543 , amen.

23 H3548 And the priest H3789 shall write [H8804] H423 these curses H5612 in a book H4229 , and he shall blot [H8804] H4751 them out with the bitter H4325 water:

24 H802 And he shall cause the woman H8248 to drink [H8689] H4751 the bitter H4325 water H779 that causeth the curse [H8764] H4325 : and the water H779 that causeth the curse [H8764] H935 shall enter [H8804] H4751 into her, and become bitter.

25 H3548 Then the priest H3947 shall take [H8804] H7068 the jealousy H4503 offering H802 out of the woman's H3027 hand H5130 , and shall wave [H8689] H4503 the offering H6440 before H3068 the LORD H7126 , and offer [H8689] H4196 it upon the altar:

26 H3548 And the priest H7061 shall take an handful [H8804] H4503 of the offering H234 , even the memorial H6999 thereof, and burn [H8689] H4196 it upon the altar H310 , and afterward H802 shall cause the woman H8248 to drink [H8686] H4325 the water.

27 H8248 And when he hath made her to drink [H8689] H4325 the water H2930 , then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled [H8738] H4603 , and have done [H8799] H4604 trespass H376 against her husband H4325 , that the water H779 that causeth the curse [H8764] H935 shall enter [H8804] H4751 into her, and become bitter H990 , and her belly H6638 shall swell [H8804] H3409 , and her thigh H5307 shall rot [H8804] H802 : and the woman H423 shall be a curse H7130 among H5971 her people.

28 H802 And if the woman H2930 be not defiled [H8738] H2889 , but be clean H5352 ; then she shall be free [H8738] H2232 , and shall conceive [H8738] H2233 seed.

29 H8451 This is the law H7068 of jealousies H802 , when a wife H7847 goeth aside [H8799] H376 to another instead of her husband H2930 , and is defiled [H8738] ;

30 H7307 Or when the spirit H7068 of jealousy H5674 cometh [H8799] H376 upon him H7065 , and he be jealous [H8765] H802 over his wife H5975 , and shall set [H8689] H802 the woman H6440 before H3068 the LORD H3548 , and the priest H6213 shall execute [H8804] H8451 upon her all this law.

31 H376 Then shall the man H5352 be guiltless [H8738] H5771 from iniquity H1931 , and this H802 woman H5375 shall bear [H8799] H5771 her iniquity.

YLT⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, ² `Command the sons of Israel, and they send out of the camp every leper, and every one with an issue, and every one defiled by a body; ³ from male unto female ye do send out; unto the outside of the camp ye do send them; and they defile not their camps in the midst of which I do tabernacle.' ⁴ And the sons of Israel do so, and they send them out unto the outside of the camp; as Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses so have the sons of Israel done. ⁵ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, ⁶ `Speak unto the sons of Israel, Man or woman, when they do any of the sins of man, by committing a trespass against Jehovah, and that person is guilty, ⁷ and they have confessed their sin which they have done, then he hath restored his guilt in its principal, and its fifth is adding to it, and hath given it to him in reference to whom he hath been guilty. ⁸ `And if the man have no redeemer to restore the guilt to, the guilt which is restored is Jehovah's, the priest's, apart from the ram of the atonements, whereby he maketh atonement for him. ⁹ `And every heave-offering of all the holy things of the sons of Israel, which they bring near to the priest, becometh his; ¹⁰ and any man's hallowed things become his; that which any man giveth to the priest becometh his.'
¹¹ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, ¹² `Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When any man's wife turneth aside, and hath committed against him a trespass, ¹³ and a man hath lain with her with the seed of copulation, and it hath been hid from the eyes of her husband, and concealed, and she hath been defiled, and there is no witness against her, and she hath not been caught, ¹⁴ and a spirit of jealousy hath passed over him, and he hath been jealous of his wife, and she hath been defiled; --or, a spirit of jealousy hath passed over him, and he hath been jealous of his wife, and she hath not been defiled-- ¹⁵ `Then hath the man brought in his wife unto the priest, and he hath brought in her offering for her, a tenth of the ephah of barley meal, he doth not pour on it oil, nor doth he put on it frankincense, for it is a present of jealousy, a present of memorial, causing remembrance of iniquity. ¹⁶ `And the priest hath brought her near, and hath caused her to stand before Jehovah, ¹⁷ and the priest hath taken holy water in an earthen vessel, and of the dust which is on the floor of the tabernacle doth the priest take, and hath put it into the water, ¹⁸ and the priest hath caused the woman to stand before Jehovah, and hath uncovered the woman's head, and hath given into her hands the present of the memorial, it is a present of jealousy, and in the hand of the priest are the bitter waters which cause the curse. ¹⁹ `And the priest hath caused her to swear, and hath said unto the woman, If no man hath lain with thee, and if thou hast not turned aside to uncleanness under thy husband, be free from these bitter waters which cause the curse; ²⁰ and thou, if thou hast turned aside under thy husband, and if thou hast been defiled, and any man doth give his copulation to thee besides thy husband-- ²¹ (then the priest hath caused the woman to swear with an oath of execration, and the priest hath said to the woman) --Jehovah doth give thee for an execration, and for a curse, in the midst of thy people, in Jehovah's giving thy thigh to fall, and thy belly to swell, ²² and these waters which cause the curse have gone into thy bowels, to cause the belly to swell, and the thigh to fall; and the woman hath said, Amen, Amen. ²³ `And the priest hath written these execrations in a book, and hath blotted them out with the bitter waters, ²⁴ and hath caused the woman to drink the bitter waters which cause the curse, and the waters which cause the curse have entered into her for bitter things. ²⁵ `And the priest hath taken out of the hand of the woman the present of jealousy, and hath waved the present before Jehovah, and hath brought it near unto the altar; ²⁶ and the priest hath taken a handful of the present, its memorial, and hath made perfume on the altar, and afterwards doth cause the woman to drink the water: ²⁷ yea, he hath caused her to drink the water, and it hath come to pass, if she hath been defiled, and doth commit a trespass against her husband, that the waters which cause the curse have gone into her for bitter things, and her belly hath swelled, and her thigh hath fallen, and the woman hath become an execration in the midst of her people. ²⁸ `And if the woman hath not been defiled, and is clean, then she hath been acquitted, and hath been sown with seed. ²⁹ `This is the law of jealousies, when a wife turneth aside under her husband, and hath been defiled, ³⁰ or when a spirit of jealousy passeth over a man, and he hath been jealous of his wife, then he hath caused the woman to stand before Jehovah, and the priest hath done to her all this law, ³¹ and the man hath been acquitted from iniquity, and that woman doth bear her iniquity.'

And the woman shall say, Amen, Amen. ²³ And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out into the water of bitterness: ²⁴ and he shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that causeth the curse; and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her and become bitter. ²⁵ And the priest shall take the meal-offering of jealousy out of the womans hand, and shall wave the meal-offering before Jehovah, and bring it unto the altar: ²⁶ and the priest shall take a handful of the meal-offering, as the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall make the woman drink the water. ²⁷ And when he hath made her drink the water, then it shall come to pass, if she be defiled, and have committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her and become bitter, and her body shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. ²⁸ And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed. ²⁹ This is the law of jealousy, when a wife, being under her husband, goeth aside, and is defiled; ³⁰ or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon a man, and he is jealous of his wife; then shall he set the woman before Jehovah, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law. ³¹ And the man shall be free from iniquity, and that woman shall bear her iniquity.
